About the shoe lifting, I was once shoe lifted when I went to pray. Nowadays when I go to a mosque with many people I place my shoe in a bag in the car and switch to cheap slippers so that it won't be stolen, nor will the shoe be stolen because I will go back to the car and switch. Simple and easy way to avoid shoe lifting.

Narrated by Abu Dawood (4098) and classed as saheeh by al-Nawawi in al-Majmoo’ (4/469) and by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood.

I have an input on "Latecomer", as I think, what's worse than that is those who arrive first at Masjid, but leave the line in front of him empty. That's why latecomer have to sneak like a ninja to go front. If those who came first fill the first line before filling new line, then the line will be more perfect as the perfectness of the lines (Shaf) is one of the part that make Shalat Jama'ah more perfect.
