Glad you enjoyed it, and glad it bought back some memories for you! Gee 50 years in the States! Big car scene there! I've been to SEMA a few times and it's another world. :-)
I was born in 2000 and watched old Australian videos and was around 16/17 when Holden closed its doors. When these old cars in the 60s and 70s were driving around it seems like a happier time.
Thanks for watching Joe, great to see you take an interest in the early cars. They sure were good times, when Australia manufactured things here and with pride.
Drove my mums FC in Wagga which we owned approx 20 years and loved till sold around 1990- never broke down, such memories seeing both exterior and interior again.
Great presentation on a fabulous classic car : first car was a 58 FC bought in 75 and drove it to school most every day. Then Mum found out. Police Sergeant called home one day; saying, "we've received a report your son's car's been stolen" - Mate and I used to park it two blocks from home, then hop out with our school bags over shoulder and walk the rest of the way home. Old biddy, noticed us and reported two naughty school boys were driving a stolen car. Mum wasn't impressed.
Thanks for watching Greg, I get quite emotional myself putting these episodes together, and when tears well in the eyes during post-production, you know you're on the right path as a creator. I just love all the history that comes with these cars, it's priceless. We have a lot more content on the way.
Never seen an FC, beautiful example of how our grand parents took care of things. That interior is in Amazing condition. Thanks a million to both of you for sharing this.
My pleasure Dave, and you're right, I recently found a genuine 109,000 miles 62 S-Series Valiant in factory black with red trim and thankfully was able to add it to my stable. They're still out there...
Just wanted to say im really enjoying your videos. Please keep them coming. Will you ever come down to tassie once this virus is all sorted as im sure you'd find some hidden gems down here.
Glad you’re enjoying them. I absolutely love Tassie, and as the channel grows sufficiently enough to help fund travel, a visit is on the cards for sure. 👍
8:23 You might be very surprised, if its got leaded super in it it will still be fine. The old towy we pulled out to get going had super in it probably from 1988 - 90. A battery and a bit of juice down the carby and away she went.
Nice, what a beauty.... no mention of the original wireless visable in the interior frame, but commented on the massive 3" speaker in the back. Was the speaker an option or added in later? Be interested to know. Asked dad who worked in Brisbane and Melbourne during the EJ to HG era, he can't remember any normally available optional rear speaker/s untill HK, with the exception of some special build up-specd EH And HRs that were exported and loaded with electric windows, air-conditioning etc.
FC,had one, great car, was a smaller version of the iconic 57 Chev From the wear on the doors, etc, maybe more miles than on the Speedo. Also Repco put that decal on re-built moters, just sayin.
Nice car, but some of us Aussies don’t want to be Americanised, especially when proudly talking about our own home built cars and proud to find these cars in sheds.
@@GlennEverittMasterofMachines I reckon so too mate. I grew up watching those shows and loved them. The replays of them are few and far between now. Copyright issues maybe? I dunno know but there used to be a video on UA-cam that went for twenty eight minutes showing all the car chases from Bluey. His maroon VK Regal and Valiant Rangers chasing the bad guys, great to watch. Another one that went for a while was a compilation of car chases from the series "Ryan". He had a bronze VH Charger and man didn't he give it some stick. All gone now from UA-cam.
@@GlennEverittMasterofMachines I know it mate. Loved watching the XR GT getting rowed along through the gears and the Ranger's speedo showing 100 m.p.h. plus trying to catch it before spinning out in the wet. For some weird reason there is a short clip of just that part that still exists. Still love watching it :))))
FC and FE were great cars, it wasnt until the EH that hotting up sedans got serious, then everything got hotted up, FX, FJ's were popular hotted up cars.
Barn find you must be a yank I am x dairy farmer from the 60s never heard of barns all ways shed's my boss said put hay in shed 3 , so ,how i now shed's
This one got me mate. Have lived in California for near 50 years, and this is EXACTLY the same car as my Dad had. Am in tears, thanks

Me and dad have an fc

Awesome find .
Fantastic video! We all dream of finding an old Aussie car hidden in a shed. The condition is just remarkable. Thanks for sharing 👍
Wow how awesome would it be to find a oldie like this. What a dream find. Love it.
Wow, that takes me back. The car is like new inside, all things considered. An absolute beaut.

What a great car and great condition. My first car was an FC.
Another awesome video, a great reminder of Australia we once knew.
Glad you enjoyed it
Had one exactly the same colour in 1976 !! Ran like a dream . Had quite a bit of fun on the back seat 😉😉I miss that old girl
Not- Pc You miss the old “girl”?...😉🤭
Andrew D Hahaha 😂 I get what you mean !! Yep they were both a pretty good ride 😂🤣

What a beauty.
Lucky the cameraman had already found it and was waiting in the shed.
Absolutely beautiful, learnt to drive in an FC Ute. Really brought back some memories.
This is amazing
Very nice - thanks for sharing. There were so many of theses models made that they are still popping up in weird places all over Australia.

O M G! I learnt to drive in one of those!

This car all it needs is a service and full detail and registration and it will good to go.
Those cars went forever unlike the computerised plastic crap we drive today!
You two looked like Matlock getting out of that Val!
That was the plan! Haha! My favourite show growing up. :-)

My Dad's first car was a FC. Sadly it was written off in an accident 50 years ago.

Mate! Learn how to drive the Val! Window down! Right hand off the wheel and elbow on the widow ledge! Left hand only on the wheel at 12 o'clock! 😎
At 0:50 I thought for a moment I was watching a Homicide episode.
Lol! Now there’s a great old show, along with Matlock Police and Division 4. Great days.

Eagle transfer on glovebox....Mobil?
Battery an fresh juice that would fire up easy as piss cause no way that motor would seized
How rats have not gotten into the interior and wires of engine is insane
The motor won't be rusted and siezed. What a dumb thing to say. As if the bearings and rings would be worn out
Engine might not be sezied
Mechanic cars just sitting ?
RACV Leso grooming ad. 👎
blindtoby , really? I’ve not seen that one? All the adds are random and selected by UA-cam.
