I just bought a Magnolia Elizabeth as a very rare plant from an interstate nursery in Victoria Australia, I'm in Adelaide South Australia apparently in zonal denial, perhaps not with the Magnolia but with my recently purchased Rhododendron's, I will do my very best to try to keep them happy.
Wow, I've been so blown away by the sheer size that plants get to. Not something really seen in southern Australia, I can't talk for northern Australia as I have never travelled above Perth or Sydney.
Splendid! I planted a R. arboreum this spring and really hope it will survive the winter. Inspiring to see the size at Abbotsbury.

My rhodies with indumentum have none of the lace beetle that infests the ones without.
