The visuals in this anime are top notch. Every action scene is absolutely beautiful

Just for clarity (since I haven't seen in other comments):
Edo Period (1603-1868) -- Back then, Japan Capital was Kyoto (iirc)
Meiji Period (1868-1912) -- Here, wearing swords in public starts to become illegal; (again, iirc) in this period the Capital is moved to Tokyo
Taisho Period to Early Showa Period (1912-1945); we should be in early Taisho Period, during Demon Slayer
That's the reason which the morphed demon is enraged: change of a Period (which depends on the imperial line: change of line -> change of period)
In case you were wondering why that huge, deformed demon was throwing a fit: He was talking about Japanese imperial eras.
Whenever a new emperor takes the throne in Japan, he has to decide on the name of his 'era', which is the period of his reign. The "hands demon" was angry because he learned from Tanjiro that the Meiji emperor had died, and the Taisho era had begun. To him, it was a reminder that he was wasting his eternal existence, even missing entire reigns of emperors, trapped in a kind of training ground for demon slayers.

At the end of each episode after the Ending song there is a short video called "Taisho Secret" which covers some extra info and fun facts of the show and the characters. It starts from episode 2 onwards so you might want to go back and watch them.

The more powerful stench, the more powerful demon. The one that Tanjiro encountered at the final selection is the demon who killed Sabito and Makomo.

You asked what we would like you to watch. I'd like to suggest a fairly short anime called, "Your Lie in April" - It's not an action oriented anime like this but I would like you to experience something different because you say you are almost completely new to anime. My sister thinks "anime is all about fighting robots, right?" People can get ideas like that from a little experience so I'd really love to see you react to "Your Lie in April" to expand your frame of reference a bit, and because I think you will love it, of course.
PS... ut you should maybe finish season 1 of Demon Slayer at least first 😃

Hey!! Here’s a couple of things I wish I knew when I started watching Kny, read them or don’t, all good!
We don’t get the backstory of Uruokodaki (no clue how to spell) or his real face in the anime or manga.
!This is a warning! in a episode soon to come in season one it is pretty disturbing, then from there on out you won’t have to worry cuz it doesn’t get worse than that, I’m saying this as a person who isn’t too sensitive to gore and violence.
Pretty sure you knew this one but the way you multiply demons is when the blood is exposed, (it covered it multiple times in the series though)
The seasons get a lot shorter when you move on from the first season.
That’s about it! I will try to find the episode I gave the warning on enjoy watching (I find these very entertaining!) okay, I believe it is episode 9! I might be wrong though, so don’t worry.

Urokodaki's face never gets revealed in the manga either, but it does get revealed at an official art exhibition by the mangaka! He looks very cute and friendly, even more so than Tanjiro. It's not suprising that demons didn't take him seriously without a mask.
