At this unique and challenging time in the United Kingdom over 65 churches and movements, representing hundreds of others, have come together online to sing a blessing over our land. Standing together as one, our desire is that this song will fill you with hope and encourage you.
But the church is not simply singing a blessing, each day we're looking to practically be a blessing. Many of the churches included in this song have assisted with supplying over 400,000 meals to the most vulnerable and isolated in our nation since COVID-19 lockdown began. This alongside phone calls to the isolated, pharmacy delivery drops and hot meals to the NHS frontline hospital staff.
Our buildings may be closed but the church is very much alive!

I remember listening to this song as I lay in bed with Covid 19. I was alone, running a fever and unsure of my recovery. But I felt the Lord’s presence so strongly n my room. He was there holding my hand and comforting me. I’m now much better thanks to my Lord and Savior Jesus. Praise His Holy name.

It's been almost three years since this video came out, and it still encourages me today. Evil mirrors are not scriptural so that part of what you shared doesn't relate to me at all. There is no woman in my life plotting delays etc. I am very blessed and in a season of great breakthroughs and blessings and I tithe to my home church. I have not had any leading to tithe to other ministries as I support them through my church. But thank you for your prayers and I trust you will remain blessed.

The world needs Jesus
This shows that the people make the church, not the building. Even though we can’t go to church building, we can still praise the Lord our God.
You cannot gather together with other Christians to worship because the government forbids it. Are you prepared to accept that state of affairs indefinitely on the grounds that it is supposedly a necessary measure to protect public health?
And we might do alot better in more of a virtual living room like environment. In all due respect, I dont need any more preaching.

The blessing here is not a matter of an excellent job, a nice house, a high education, and a good family life. Furthermore, this blessing is not related to having any kind of position in the church. Sometimes when we consider our situation, we may be disappointed and feel that we do not have anything. It may seem to us that everything under the sun and even everything in the spiritual field is vanity of vanities. We may feel that nothing is real, not even in the church life. What should we do when we feel this way? We should turn to the Triune God. He is our real blessing and portion. What a blessing it is to have Him as the blessing! What a blessing it is to have His face, His presence, and to enjoy Him daily as grace! The more we suffer, the more we enjoy Him as grace. What a blessing it is to have His countenance smiling upon us, assuring us, and confirming us! And what a blessing it is to have peace in Him, by Him, and with Him! I am 20 years old now and started walking with Jesus when I was a little girl. I still lament that childlike spirit I had then - that radiant love that made me so joyful and carefree - but today I can say that Jesus has brought me through suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, and having to move schools several times because of being bullied. When I was depressed, He spoke to me and told me "the battle is almost over." The very next day, I was healed. This song reminds me of the blessings in my own life, and gives me immense hope for the future. It brought me to my knees in prayer. O God, show us as a people where to go in order to bless this broken world. Show me how to live my life to bless others.

I'm so grateful for this song. During the lockdown, my dear Dad loved this song and the collaboration it took., and he sent it to us all on UA-cam. He died suddenly in 2020. We played this at his funeral. . He was a wonderful kind Christian man, and I'm so grateful he listened to this beautiful song in his last days. I'm thankful today tears are in my eyes. The last 3 years of my life have been difficult for me and my family . I'm thankful what God has brought us through . My mom is bedridden from a stroke . She is in hospital , she's got pneumonia and UTI . I'm thankful she didn't have COVID they tested her twice my nerves were a wreck during the testing. I'm thankful ...

I am sitting in my home in the State of Idaho in the USA. Crying my eye out hands lifted. I have been house bound for over 20 years. Cut off from the worship in the body. I felt the Lord in such a beautiful way as my Brothers and Sister from the UK sang like we will sing in glory. I thought what will it be like in heaven as many generations Of the church from all lands and peoples worship our Lord and God together....I can’t wait. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting the Lord speak through you to the world not just the UK🙏🏻 My heart has been lifted. I am also disabled and had to stop going to my church because they use a hall upstairs without any lift. I know the isolation, feeling cut off from the church. For me, the lockdown forcing churches to move online has been a blessing. And now this song that seems to have touched so many people around the world. You are not alone my friend, you belong to the glorious family of God. We are all sisters and brothers, even though on earth we are so different, and physically so far apart. I believe in heaven there will be complete harmony, I don't know if that means we worship in a new language, or whether we are blessed with interpretation to understand one another. But hold fast to your vision of heaven where we will meet the other members of our wonderful family. We will be transformed, all disabilities gone, and we will dance before our Lord. Sometimes when my congregation is singing, I close my eyes and just listen, thinking, "if praising is this moving here, what must it be like in Heaven?" This video moved me in the same way. Thank you to all you participated.

I sit here weeping as I listen to this after almost 3 yrs of songs release. I imagine this is what heavens angles sound like as they sing. This is when I finally turned to God after him calling out my name for years. I was so far in the pit of despair only Gods hand has this kind of strength and reach to have been able pulled me out. My life is far from perfect now oh but it is a million times better!!! Thank you Lord for not giving up on me. Please whisper in my ear when I start to get off track before I wonder off course and help me to be wise enough to see clearly. I never want to go where I was again. Hey Jay, He is there, I promise he is. As an ex-atheist I had quite the journey myself.
Use your will to search and push forward. If you have the resources, read, or listen to, CS Lewis's "Mere Christianity" and/or "The Weight of Glory". Deliberately move towards things and people of Grace. It has taken many years for me to recognise that what I thought to be trite messages and simplistic words, are simply true: it's a fractal and recursive truth at every level.
I wish you well in your journey onwards and upwards.

This song is a beautiful snapshot of the Church. The Church without walls, the Church that overflows with the good news of God's love and favour and blessing in the midst of great crisis. The Church that represents every tribe, tongue and nation..... Every time I watch it I feel like I get a glimpse of 'The new heaven and the new earth' from Revelation 21. Yes the churches here are unified around a common gospel - which erases God’s holiness, justice and mercy in order to reconcile God with the UK, instead of reconciling the UK with God. And this video is them coming together to preach that gospel - to sing their anthem. “God is for you”
Their alternative gospel is that instead of being sinners our main problem is that we are unloved. That God solves our problem by affirming us - and that his main aim is to deliver us from all difficulty.

However, I have spoken to several LGBTQ+ people who feel excluded by this rather than blessed, they believe that the churches represented here would not choose to sing this over them; that they are exempted from this blessing.
So I did some research. I looked for people like me on the websites of the churches involved in this project. I sought to prove to the LGBTQ+ community who were hurting that their fears were at least, in part, unfounded. I was sure that I would discover welcoming, affirming churches amongst the dozens listed here and I could say with confidence that this act of blessing is for all. I looked hard. I read booklets, listened to podcasts, watched videos, read staff profiles, searching for people like me. After ten churches I was discouraged, after twenty I thought I would not find even one. In the end there was one, just one.
Do not get me wrong, I found many examples on these sites of wonderful charity, compassion for the poor, warmth and welcoming approaches to the marginalised and the hurting.
The fact that Queer people cannot find themselves even mentioned in the websites of the vast majority of these churches suggests erasure, whether intentional or not.
The fact that there are references on these websites that deny marriage equality, refuse to allow for non-binary gender expression and promote sexual abstinence for LGBTQ+ people just adds to the injury.
I wish churches would actually engage in the dialogue rather than pretending that this issue does not exist, widening the gap between the Queer community and Christianity. This song, this act, is not the blessing it at first appears to be.
So are you saying that Christians are embracing - or reaching - the poor, the marginalised, the broken, the hurting, basically the lost in society... but are not reaching out to those who are homosexual? As far as I can tell, those who are homosexual do appear on that list, as people who are broken, lost and hurting. Do you disagree that a homosexual person can also be a hurting, broken person, or not?
Callom House I wonder if you might take a moment to reread what you wrote and to consider its impact. To suggest that the Queer community is somehow ‘broken’ or ‘lost’ or that they view themselves that way says so much about the assumptions that are made about us. We are not broken, there is nothing that needs fixing about our sexuality or our gender. We are not lost, we are excluded, these are different things. As for hurting? Perhaps, we have been hurt, sometimes horribly, by the churches we attended and the rhetoric that we swallowed but we survive; thrive even. I looked for a welcome, I found none apart from the one church on the list who extend a welcome truly to all people. As for the rest? They may be welcoming, but they are certainly not public about it. This compounds the damage, making it secretive and shameful.
