I remember listening to this song as I lay in bed with Covid 19. I was alone, running a fever and unsure of my recovery. But I felt the Lord’s presence so strongly n my room. He was there holding my hand and comforting me. I’m now much better thanks to my Lord and Savior Jesus. Praise His Holy name.

It's been almost three years since this video came out, and it still encourages me today. I am sitting in my home in the State of Idaho in the USA. Crying my eye out hands lifted. I have been house bound for over 20 years. Cut off from the worship in the body. I felt the Lord in such a beautiful way as my Brothers and Sister from the UK sang like we will sing in glory. I thought what will it be like in heaven as many generations Of the church from all lands and peoples worship our Lord and God together....I can’t wait. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting the Lord speak through you to the world not just the UK🙏🏻 My heart has been lifted. I am also disabled and had to stop going to my church because they use a hall upstairs without any lift. I know the isolation, feeling cut off from the church. For me, the lockdown forcing churches to move online has been a blessing. And now this song that seems to have touched so many people around the world. You are not alone my friend, you belong to the glorious family of God. We are all sisters and brothers, even though on earth we are so different, and physically so far apart. I believe in heaven there will be complete harmony, I don't know if that means we worship in a new language, or whether we are blessed with interpretation to understand one another. But hold fast to your vision of heaven where we will meet the other members of our wonderful family. We will be transformed, all disabilities gone, and we will dance before our Lord. I am 20 years old now and started walking with Jesus when I was a little girl. I still lament that childlike spirit I had then - that radiant love that made me so joyful and carefree - but today I can say that Jesus has brought me through suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, and having to move schools several times because of being bullied. When I was depressed, He spoke to me and told me "the battle is almost over." The very next day, I was healed. This song reminds me of the blessings in my own life, and gives me immense hope for the future. It brought me to my knees in prayer. O God, show us as a people where to go in order to bless this broken world. Show me how to live my life to bless others.

The blessing here is not a matter of an excellent job, a nice house, a high education, and a good family life. Furthermore, this blessing is not related to having any kind of position in the church. Sometimes when we consider our situation, we may be disappointed and feel that we do not have anything. It may seem to us that everything under the sun and even everything in the spiritual field is vanity of vanities. We may feel that nothing is real, not even in the church life. What should we do when we feel this way? We should turn to the Triune God. He is our real blessing and portion. What a blessing it is to have Him as the blessing! What a blessing it is to have His face, His presence, and to enjoy Him daily as grace! The more we suffer, the more we enjoy Him as grace. What a blessing it is to have His countenance smiling upon us, assuring us, and confirming us! And what a blessing it is to have peace in Him, by Him, and with Him! During the Battle of Dunkirk a National day of prayer was called for. The entire nation stopped and prayed. People were lined up at every church across the country and a miracle occurred. The Entire British army should have been wiped out but instead it was rescued by God against impossible odds. Thank you for organizing this powerful message of hope and peace.

History is filled with cases of people who gained many riches and many material things but who eventually realized that, without God, it was all vanity. God Himself is our blessing, and this blessing comes to us through the dispensing of the divine Being into us in His divine trinity-in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

The Father blesses us, the Son shines upon us, and the Holy Spirit lifts up His countenance upon us. As a result, we are kept, we receive grace, and we have peace. Most of the Epistles of Paul open with a word concerning grace and peace. Grace is of the Son and peace is of the Spirit. Grace is somewhat objective. Peace is subjective; it is the result, the issue, of our enjoyment of grace. First we receive grace and then we enjoy peace. We receive grace in the Son and we enjoy peace in the Spirit. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us, full of grace (John 1:1, 14). Of His fullness we have all received grace upon grace (John 1:16). Whereas the law was given through Moses, grace came through Jesus Christ (John 1:17). This grace is actually a person, Christ Himself. When we receive grace, the result is that we have peace. This peace is the pneumatic Christ, the Christ who is the life-giving Spirit becoming the Spirit of peace within us.
I was trying to keep my faith alive during lockdown but soon I realized that singing together with other Christians for our God is essential for me to put my gratefulness towards Him into words. Hearing this song brought me to tears and made me sing along and shout out (behind my laptop, in the kitchen, in the car...) what I believe in. I believe in this God, who is for you, all around you, with you, near you, for your family, and your childeren in your weeping and rejoicing. Amen. So I did some research. I looked for people like me on the websites of the churches involved in this project. I sought to prove to the LGBTQ+ community who were hurting that their fears were at least, in part, unfounded. I was sure that I would discover welcoming, affirming churches amongst the dozens listed here and I could say with confidence that this act of blessing is for all. I looked hard. I read booklets, listened to podcasts, watched videos, read staff profiles, searching for people like me. After ten churches I was discouraged, after twenty I thought I would not find even one. In the end there was one, just one. Do not get me wrong, I found many examples on these sites of wonderful charity, compassion for the poor, warmth and welcoming approaches to the marginalised and the hurting. The fact that Queer people cannot find themselves even mentioned in the websites of the vast majority of these churches suggests erasure, whether intentional or not. The fact that there are references on these websites that deny marriage equality, refuse to allow for non-binary gender expression and promote sexual abstinence for LGBTQ+ people just adds to the injury. I wish churches would actually engage in the dialogue rather than pretending that this issue does not exist, widening the gap between the Queer community and Christianity. This song, this act, is not the blessing it at first appears to be.
So are you saying that Christians are embracing - or reaching - the poor, the marginalised, the broken, the hurting, basically the lost in society... but are not reaching out to those who are homosexual? As far as I can tell, those who are homosexual do appear on that list, as people who are broken, lost and hurting. Do you disagree that a homosexual person can also be a hurting, broken person, or not?
Callom House I wonder if you might take a moment to reread what you wrote and to consider its impact. To suggest that the Queer community is somehow ‘broken’ or ‘lost’ or that they view themselves that way says so much about the assumptions that are made about us. We are not broken, there is nothing that needs fixing about our sexuality or our gender. We are not lost, we are excluded, these are different things. As for hurting? Perhaps, we have been hurt, sometimes horribly, by the churches we attended and the rhetoric that we swallowed but we survive; thrive even. I looked for a welcome, I found none apart from the one church on the list who extend a welcome truly to all people. As for the rest? They may be welcoming, but they are certainly not public about it. This compounds the damage, making it secretive and shameful.

The sooner you recognise what this practice actually is, and see sin as God sees it - (exceedingly sinful) the sooner the healing process can start and lives can be turned around. Everyone has the same knowledge, because it has been written on the conscience of each man and woman on earth by God himself, that homosexual practice is against God's righteous will. He will not extend the blessing of his salvation to those who are disobedient to his word, and he will not regard anyone who is living in the ways of the Devil, or in unrighteousness, as a part of his kingdom. He would not allow murders and thieves to inherit everlasting life, would he? Only former thieves and former murders. Former homosexuals. There will only be the SAVED and the unsaved. We are all either saved or unsaved. I urge you to consider the word of God very carefully; think about the deed which keeps people from entering the kingdom of heaven? I love this video on so many levels: - It’s beautiful that the UK church is blessing the nation - It’s a beautiful song - The different churches are working together, literally in harmony - so Biblical. It’s like a foretaste of heaven - ‘Our buildings may be closed but the church is alive.’ 🙌🏻 - There are so many good churches making music in our land - It’s a celebration of the wonderful songwriting and music-making ability God has given his church. Jill17 I wonder if this is true? It doesn’t feel true. I know people who have been really hurt by some (not all) of these churches. People who have been reduced by the church to what they do in bed or whether they conform to the expectations that the church has on them. Even being reduced to ‘a lifestyle’ seems pretty cruel. The repercussions of these things are painful and a blessing, coupled with such pain is not a blessing at all.
Dean Fudge I’m pretty sure that will have been the intention of the churches singing. Only 5% of the UK population go to church regularly. There will be plenty of the other 95% whose actions these churches will not approve of (sex outside marriage, for example.) And not all the churchgoing 5% will be making an effort to live by the Bible consistently. The song is for 100% of the population all the same. I pray the Lord will bless you personally.

Evil mirrors are not scriptural so that part of what you shared doesn't relate to me at all. There is no woman in my life plotting delays etc. I am very blessed and in a season of great breakthroughs and blessings and I tithe to my home church. I had to take a moment to breathe and dry my eyes. I felt so alone in my love for the Lord because the people around me don't have my passion but I felt like a part of something listening to you all sing. Thankyou!!

One of the landmark films of my childhood was "Hook". There is something unspeakably chilling about Dustin Hoffman's character's words "I swear to you: wherever you go, wherever you are, I vow there will always be daggers buried in notes signed James Hook. There is a purity of antithesis of those words in "May his favour be upon you [...] and your children and their children and their children..." It is like the mirror of the accuser's words before the throne of the most high, against the words of our advocate, proclaiming freedom and belonging for all eternity.
Woke up this morning bombarded with msgs about our involvement in this. I just watched it and I'm in tears! 😭😭 This is so so powerful. I truly believe we have deposited something in the spirit as a prophetic act of unity! We are honoured! ❤
Yes the churches here are unified around a common gospel - which erases God’s holiness, justice and mercy in order to reconcile God with the UK, instead of reconciling the UK with God. And this video is them coming together to preach that gospel - to sing their anthem. “God is for you” Their alternative gospel is that instead of being sinners our main problem is that we are unloved. That God solves our problem by affirming us - and that his main aim is to deliver us from all difficulty.

However, I have spoken to several LGBTQ+ people who feel excluded by this rather than blessed, they believe that the churches represented here would not choose to sing this over them; that they are exempted from this blessing. So I did some research. I looked for people like me on the websites of the churches involved in this project. I sought to prove to the LGBTQ+ community who were hurting that their fears were at least, in part, unfounded. I was sure that I would discover welcoming, affirming churches amongst the dozens listed here and I could say with confidence that this act of blessing is for all. I looked hard. I read booklets, listened to podcasts, watched videos, read staff profiles, searching for people like me. After ten churches I was discouraged, after twenty I thought I would not find even one. In the end there was one, just one. Do not get me wrong, I found many examples on these sites of wonderful charity, compassion for the poor, warmth and welcoming approaches to the marginalised and the hurting. The fact that Queer people cannot find themselves even mentioned in the websites of the vast majority of these churches suggests erasure, whether intentional or not. The fact that there are references on these websites that deny marriage equality, refuse to allow for non-binary gender expression and promote sexual abstinence for LGBTQ+ people just adds to the injury. I wish churches would actually engage in the dialogue rather than pretending that this issue does not exist, widening the gap between the Queer community and Christianity. I think everyone should focus on the grace, love and peace from Jesus Christ rather than from human beings. Receive that song into your heart as a blessing for you from God and not from the 65 churches represented here. They are only instruments used by God to sing a blessing over all the people based on Numbers 6:23-27. It is now up to you to accept or to reject this blessing. God can use anyone to do his work, even a donkey - Numbers 22:21-39.

@@deanfudge3172 I think you'll find its the individual church and one small voice in all these churches wouldn't get heard as much but I belong to a church that's included in here. Trent Vineyard of Nottingham and we support the LGBTQ community in fact we allow them to come to our church and have exceptence of this. Also in a series of sermons before the covid19 we had a whole sermon on this subject which you can find and watch online from our website.

I looked on the websites specifically for something that mentioned LGBTQ+ people directly. I wanted to look as if I was a person in the local area who had heard this blessing and had decided to check out their local church, there was nothing on most websites. One said simply, 'we believe in the pricelessness and dignity of every human being, no matter what their race, gender, abilities, disabilities, religion, sexuality or background.' This was the statement that told me that they were thinking about all of the people who might enter that building. It was the welcome I was seeking. Trent Vineyard may be the most wonderfully welcoming and anti-homophobic church in the whole of Nottingham but the website does not reflect this. Coupled with this is the Vineyard position on LGBTQ+ people and marriage. Now I have never visited Trent Vineyard and I have no idea what the practice is within the church but the current Vineyard position is that they do not recognise marriage equality and, outside of marriage, they call for abstinence from sexual relating. Whether Trent Vineyard follow this or not, it is the position that Vineyard Churches take. I am sure you would agree that to deny someone who was born gay the opportunity for relationship, or intimacy simply because of an interpretation of the Bible that suggests that marriage is only for men and women is barbaric. It is a similar idea to the slave owners using passages of the Bible to justify the keeping of slaves! Monstrous! So, that is my position. I looked to find the welcome, I could not find it. I wrote about it on here. One voice, raising a pertinent issue.

I respect your feelings and understand why you are so passionate about being the LGBTQ+ being accepted with what they identify themselves with. I am sure if I identified this way I would feel the same. I feel there is a massive issue with singing this song over the UK as a whole. Because it is not true. God does not bless everyone with His peace and favour, if He did then everyone would have it, but as we all witness not everyone has. This peace comes when God's Holy Spirit comes in, giving us full assurance that we are forgiven and reconciled with God. God loves sinners, which we ALL are, so He died for us so that we can find forgiveness in Jesus Christ and the blessing of peace with God follow when we place our trust in Jesus. Trusting in Him means we have to put absolutely everything under His rule, including our identity. The Bible says our old self dies when we trust in Christ and he makes us a new person. T
I remember listening to this song as I lay in bed with Covid 19. I was alone, running a fever and unsure of my recovery. But I felt the Lord’s presence so strongly n my room. He was there holding my hand and comforting me. I’m now much better thanks to my Lord and Savior Jesus. Praise His Holy name.

I am sitting in my home in the State of Idaho in the USA. Crying my eye out hands lifted. I have been house bound for over 20 years. Cut off from the worship in the body. I felt the Lord in such a beautiful way as my Brothers and Sister from the UK sang like we will sing in glory. I am also disabled and had to stop going to my church because they use a hall upstairs without any lift. I know the isolation, feeling cut off from the church. For me, the lockdown forcing churches to move online has been a blessing. And now this song that seems to have touched so many people around the world. You are not alone my friend, you belong to the glorious family of God. We are all sisters and brothers, even though on earth we are so different, and physically so far apart. I believe in heaven there will be complete harmony, I don't know if that means we worship in a new language, or whether we are blessed with interpretation to understand one another. But hold fast to your vision of heaven where we will meet the other members of our wonderful family. We will be transformed, all disabilities gone, and we will dance before our Lord. I am 20 years old now and started walking with Jesus when I was a little girl. I still lament that childlike spirit I had then - that radiant love that made me so joyful and carefree - but today I can say that Jesus has brought me through suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, and having to move schools several times because of being bullied. When I was depressed, He spoke to me and told me "the battle is almost over." The very next day, I was healed. This song reminds me of the blessings in my own life, and gives me immense hope for the future. It brought me to my knees in prayer. O God, show us as a people where to go in order to bless this broken world. Show me how to live my life to bless others.

However, I have spoken to several LGBTQ+ people who feel excluded by this rather than blessed, they believe that the churches represented here would not choose to sing this over them; that they are exempted from this blessing.
So I did some research. I looked for people like me on the websites of the churches involved in this project. I sought to prove to the LGBTQ+ community who were hurting that their fears were at least, in part, unfounded. I was sure that I would discover welcoming, affirming churches amongst the dozens listed here and I could say with confidence that this act of blessing is for all. I looked hard. I read booklets, listened to podcasts, watched videos, read staff profiles, searching for people like me. After ten churches I was discouraged, after twenty I thought I would not find even one. In the end there was one, just one.
Do not get me wrong, I found many examples on these sites of wonderful charity, compassion for the poor, warmth and welcoming approaches to the marginalised and the hurting.
The fact that Queer people cannot find themselves even mentioned in the websites of the vast majority of these churches suggests erasure, whether intentional or not.
The fact that there are references on these websites that deny marriage equality, refuse to allow for non-binary gender expression and promote sexual abstinence for LGBTQ+ people just adds to the injury.
I wish churches would actually engage in the dialogue rather than pretending that this issue does not exist, widening the gap between the Queer community and Christianity. This song, this act, is not the blessing it at first appears to be.
So are you saying that Christians are embracing - or reaching - the poor, the marginalised, the broken, the hurting, basically the lost in society... but are not reaching out to those who are homosexual? As far as I can tell, those who are homosexual do appear on that list, as people who are broken, lost and hurting. Do you disagree that a homosexual person can also be a hurting, broken person, or not?

To suggest that the Queer community is somehow ‘broken’ or ‘lost’ or that they view themselves that way says so much about the assumptions that are made about us. We are not broken, there is nothing that needs fixing about our sexuality or our gender. We are not lost, we are excluded, these are different things. As for hurting? Perhaps, we have been hurt, sometimes horribly, by the churches we attended and the rhetoric that we swallowed but we survive; thrive even. However, I have spoken to several LGBTQ+ people who feel excluded by this rather than blessed, they believe that the churches represented here would not choose to sing this over them; that they are exempted from this blessing.
So I did some research. I looked for people like me on the websites of the churches involved in this project. I sought to prove to the LGBTQ+ community who were hurting that their fears were at least, in part, unfounded. I was sure that I would discover welcoming, affirming churches amongst the dozens listed here and I could say with confidence that this act of blessing is for all. I looked hard. I read booklets, listened to podcasts, watched videos, read staff profiles, searching for people like me. After ten churches I was discouraged, after twenty I thought I would not find even one. In the end there was one, just one.
Do not get me wrong, I found many examples on these sites of wonderful charity, compassion for the poor, warmth and welcoming approaches to the marginalised and the hurting.
The fact that Queer people cannot find themselves even mentioned in the websites of the vast majority of these churches suggests erasure, whether intentional or not.
The fact that there are references on these websites that deny marriage equality, refuse to allow for non-binary gender expression and promote sexual abstinence for LGBTQ+ people just adds to the injury.
I wish churches would actually engage in the dialogue rather than pretending that this issue does not exist, widening the gap between the Queer community and Christianity. This song, this act, is not the blessing it at first appears to be.
The blessing is sung over the nation. It includes everyone. Regardless of whether the churches approve of their lifestyle or not.
Jill17 I wonder if this is true? It doesn’t feel true. I know people who have been really hurt by some (not all) of these churches. People who have been reduced by the church to what they do in bed or whether they conform to the expectations that the church has on them. Even being reduced to ‘a lifestyle’ seems pretty cruel. The repercussions of these things are painful and a blessing, coupled with such pain is not a blessing at all.

Only 5% of the UK population go to church regularly. There will be plenty of the other 95% whose actions these churches will not approve of (sex outside marriage, for example.) And not all the churchgoing 5% will be making an effort to live by the Bible consistently. The song is for 100% of the population all the same.

Yes the churches here are unified around a common gospel - which erases God’s holiness, justice and mercy in order to reconcile God with the UK, instead of reconciling the UK with God. And this video is them coming together to preach that gospel - to sing their anthem. “God is for you”
Their alternative gospel is that instead of being sinners our main problem is that we are unloved. That God solves our problem by affirming us - and that his main aim is to deliver us from all difficulty.

I think everyone should focus on the grace, love and peace from Jesus Christ rather than from human beings. Receive that song into your heart as a blessing for you from God and not from the 65 churches represented here. They are only instruments used by God to sing a blessing over all the people based on Numbers 6:23-27. It is now up to you to accept or to reject this blessing. God can use anyone to do his work, even a donkey - Numbers 22:21-39.

@@deanfudge3172 I think you'll find its the individual church and one small voice in all these churches wouldn't get heard as much but I belong to a church that's included in here. Trent Vineyard of Nottingham and we support the LGBTQ community in fact we allow them to come to our church and have exceptence of this. Also in a series of sermons before the covid19 we had a whole sermon on this subject which you can find and watch online from our website.

I looked on the websites specifically for something that mentioned LGBTQ+ people directly. I wanted to look as if I was a person in the local area who had heard this blessing and had decided to check out their local church, there was nothing on most websites. One said simply, 'we believe in the pricelessness and dignity of every human being, no matter what their race, gender, abilities, disabilities, religion, sexuality or background.' This was the statement that told me that they were thinking about all of the people who might enter that building.
It was the welcome I was seeking.
Trent Vineyard may be the most wonderfully welcoming and anti-homophobic church in the whole of Nottingham but the website does not reflect this.
Coupled with this is the Vineyard position on LGBTQ+ people and marriage. Now I have never visited Trent Vineyard and I have no idea what the practice is within the church but the current Vineyard position is that they do not recognise marriage equality and, outside of marriage, they call for abstinence from sexual relating. Whether Trent Vineyard follow this or not, it is the position that Vineyard Churches take. I am sure you would agree that to deny someone who was born gay the opportunity for relationship, or intimacy simply because of an interpretation of the Bible that suggests that marriage is only for men and women is barbaric. It is a similar idea to the slave owners using passages of the Bible to justify the keeping of slaves! Monstrous!
So, that is my position. I looked to find the welcome, I could not find it. I wrote about it on here. One voice, raising a pertinent issue.

I feel there is a massive issue with singing this song over the UK as a whole. Because it is not true. God does not bless everyone with His peace and favour, if He did then everyone would have it, but as we all witness not everyone has. This peace comes when God's Holy Spirit comes in, giving us full assurance that we are forgiven and reconciled with God. God loves sinners, which we ALL are, so He died for us so that we can find forgiveness in Jesus Christ and the blessing of peace with God follow when we place our trust in Jesus.
Trusting in Him means we have to put absolutely everything under His rule, including our identity. The Bible says our old self dies when we trust in Christ and he makes us a new person. T
