Churches around the UK have come together at this time to sing a blessing over the nation.

The Blessing UK -
At this unique and challenging time in the United Kingdom over 65 churches and movements, representing hundreds of others, have come together online to sing a blessing over our land. Standing together as one, our desire is that this song will fill you with hope and encourage you.
But the church is not simply singing a blessing, each day we're looking to practically be a blessing. Many of the churches included in this song have assisted with supplying over 400,000 meals to the most vulnerable and isolated in our nation since COVID-19 lockdown began. This alongside phone calls to the isolated, pharmacy delivery drops and hot meals to the NHS frontline hospital staff.
Our buildings may be closed but the church is very much alive!

I still come back to this version of The Blessing from time to time. I still think it is my favorite :). It takes me back to such a dark and uncertain time... but this gave me such PEACE. I remember listening to this on repeat for hours on end with tears streaming. Praise the Lord! You cannot keep Jesus' message from getting through, NOW and FOREVER

1 John 5:19 is one of the hardest sentences in the whole New Testament: We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. It must be true because John wrote it, and he knew all that Jesus was capable of. But of course it refers to the world system, as we see a world of the 2020s in which even potential and noble ways to God's truth and love like science, the arts, investigative media, democratic institutions and international organisations are found wanting, biased, corrupted, selective, lying and captured. But the above can be set against all of that - individuals in the world working together and longing and striving for something better, that matters, that means something, that is not compromised and tainted and rises above, and takes us higher, and helps us cast of the all-encompassing evil, chaos, meanness, shallow gloss and emptiness. Yes indeed.
