I feel like that hands-up double grab is one of the most under-taught yet common attacks that rarely pops up in regular self-defense videos.

Always great stuff but Hapkido here. Cross hand grab simple small circle around weak thumb side to break grip is much easier than going out towards fingers grip.

This works, btw, lowering your center of gravity while turning is even more effective.

With that first one - taking a step toward the attacker on his outside as you rotate your elbow up & forward then down, will get you out of the strongest grip with little effort.
Stepping closer while to his side makes it harder for him to punch you with his other hand.

These dynamics are also key to a powerful golf swing. 😊…

and.... RIGHT THERE WE SEE that you don't teach your beginner students CIRCULAR MOTION
that release right there, done like that.. in my school would be a fail
You can see she needed to use force
that wouldn't be the case if they were BIG CIRCLES
the idea is to use leverage, Not to use force

      and for good reason
      He's doing the technique incorrectly.
the technique itself does work, I've used it many times
      but
      1. His foot work is wrong
      2. His use of body Mechanics is wrong
      3. He's not putting his hand up to protect his face
      4. That measuring distance this is just a waste of time
the only part that is real is that the space between the finger and thumb is weak and is an escape point.
but he's just not doing it right and as such it looks like crap, and it won't work, it'll get you punched in the head

No disrespect, but these wont work in the street. Why?, because it comes at you fast, and violent in the street.

You're basically right, but from my POV, these are more for women, where the attacker does not want to hurt them (at that moment), just to make them to follow him. For the "grab + punch" attack scenario, one must indeed choose a more evasive (and aggressive) tactics. In Goju-ryu, we have such tactics e.g. in the Saifa kata.

    "ladies this is for you"
    "it's not just for ladies"
"it's for anyone weaker than their attacker"
OK.... SO.... ANYONE THAT GETS ATTACKED,
You could have just said that.
    or Just said
"OK ladies this one's for you"
but we live in a world where... We're not afraid of getting attackhed.. pFFT, that's for amateurs
WE'RE AFRAID OF GETTING SUED OR INSULTED BY FEMINISTS
DO YOU HAVE AN ESCAPE TECHNIQUE FOR THAT ONE ?

2:37 "grab lightly and see how your skin bruises"
    ARE YOU KIDDING ME !!
OK, so , i've now watched a few of your videos and you teach Hapkido incorrectly
    1. We don't give two rats about bruises, I came home bruised all the time...............AND WHAT ?
    2. You are not teaching the release correctly,
    You're supposed to step in
You're supposed to put the other hand up and protect the face, WHY ARE YOU HANDS NOT UP ?
Instead, Your measuring the distance that she can strike at..........................AND IF SHE WAS TO TAKE 1 STEP TOWARD YOU,
    that distance would now change
but.. if you had your hands up, you wouldn't get hit regardless.
