- Popular podcaster Joe Rogan has castigated Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for his handling of the recent 'Freedom Convoy' trucker protest.
It really pisses me off to be called racist and to have "unacceptable views" by a costume changing, black face wearing, serial groping, ethically challenged, scandal riven, photo-op chasing, hypocritical, apologist, bobblehead in fancy socks. I am embarrassed to have this person referred to as the "prime minister".
Especially in parliament when the Speaker calls to him to respond to a question ~ "The HONOURABLE Prime Minister". Makes me crazy. Absolutely NOTHING honourable about him. He's literally a criminal.

I am a Canadian and I am deeply ashamed of our government. I am glad that my parents who fought in WWII did not live to see this. Something needs to be done to put Canada back.

I am from the area of Ottawa where all this action happened and the city of Ottawa was not under siege. Some business that had been suffering financially had customers and were able to pay bills . This all could have been prevented if Trudeau would not have imposed the vaccine mandates. And the name calling from Trudeau of people that were not for the vaccine mandates, well that was it for me. The worst, I believed in what he said, voted for him. I was proud but not anymore. And their is more, never mind freezing the bank accounts, the truckers had to send their children away from Ottawa because the government was threatening to take their children away. Many left and some that were locked in the city and their truck could not leave ; well these truckers sent their children to safety. This was a peaceful protest and not a war zone.
And he is still doing all sorts of illegal behaviour.
I'm actually surprised Rogan ever considered him alright in disposition . . . Trudeau has _always_ been a cocky little upstart Marxist creep.

Ottawa Canada here. One of the funniest things from the convoy was when the government made it illegal to bring gas / diesel to the truckers, even though the temperatures were -20 celsius or colder. So they'd freeze. Many Canadians, perhaps hundreds showed up with empty gas can to confuse the police. It was brilliant and funny as hell.
Somebody needs to make a documentary about the protest...

There were also multiple border crossings that were shut down by protestors during this time including the ambassador bridge over which 400 million dollars worth of goods are said to cross each day. Auto plants laid off shifts because of it.

No-one went to Ottawa for any reason than to get a reasonable response from JT. JT was not using current information, he was creating more problems and division and was taking the country down the wrong path. The issues have been real and he could and should have acknowledged the protest message and spoke about it, yet he chose to exaggerate the purpose of the protest, he slandered protestors, created fake accounts of events and false allegations, lied to the people about what was going on and wanted to make a fight out of it. He thought he was too good to listen and speak to the people of the country, he chose to ignore everyone, broke the laws, and threw in a grenade to make a fight. And it's coming out now he lied about RCMP recommending or requesting invoking the emergencies act as well. The borders were already cleared without incident before the emergency act. I was there, aside from 6-7 blocks the city was functioning like usual. It was the police who removed or covered all the street signs the last few days and blocked highway ramps. Its legal to use the streets around parliament hill for protests. In the end, his big emergency was invalid parking of trucks relating to the emergencies act. JT authorized brutal police actions to end the protest. He blew his chance to show leadership, unite the country and instead behaved like an emotionally immature imbecile and shown how out of touch he is with reality.
I'm Canadian and it sucks to be associated with all this. Our country has sunk so fast, in the past few years. 😭

A journalist in Australia did some digging after the disruption spread from Canada to the supposed ''freedom convoy to Canberra'' and was interviewed on one of the news channels at the time. He apparently had proof that the instigators and also the monetary supporters all came from south of the Canadian border and were largely anti vaxxers who basically disagreed with wearing masks, taking precautions and anything else that might ''infringe on their freedom'' to be plague carrying idiots.
They even tried here - no idea if the was the same lot behind the protests though - with protests but were rapidly dispersed (after warning the public that only public transport would be allowed to operate and the motorways etc would all be blockaded) after they were told that any still there that night would receive tickets for illegal parking/disrupting traffic and also 6 points on their licences (and truckers can't afford to lose their licences) for every day they were blockading the city. Oddly they had all disappeared by the time the evening rush hour came around.

I have experienced this trucker first hand. They are like a mob without regard for others rights and will achieve nothing. As a tax payer in Canada who is impacted due to the traffic jam they are causing in downtown Ottawa I am being directly impacted. These protesters are using hooligan tactics that directly impact the rights of other Canadians who need to use the roads to get to work on time causing unnecessary traffic. I pay my taxes just as they do so they have no right to impinge on my right to the roads and streets to get to work. They are also causing a public nuisance making a lot of noise for days on end. Yes I agree these people should be arrested and charged and pay a hefty fine.

No it isn't. I had an umbilical hernia removed, shattered ankle repaired, two broken ribs looked at, and numerous other minor health problems over the years. All affordable and taken care of with out too much trouble. If I had been an American...I would have probably already killed myself from the crippling debt. The only people complaining about Canada's health system are foreigners who don't live here and wealthy elites who are simply pissed off their wealth doesn't give them the right to crap all over the working and middle class.

lets put it this way about Canadian medicine....when i had cancer, my GP phoned me at 11:30 in the morning and said if i could get to the specialist's office by 1PM i could see her. I knew i was in a LOT of trouble when she said that...if it had been a benign tumour, i wouldn't have had a appointment for months. If a slow growing malignancy, days or weeks. That's how Canadian medicine works.
