Yeah he's amazing, but the song it's missing some iconic beats, specially the "cymbal thing" at 6:59. They praised Mike Portnoy for doing that during the "behind the scenes" of this song in 2019. Brooks is not bad, but sometimes he's too far out of the pocket. Arin did a better job with this song and that's a fact.
Love this song, it was the first hint and direction the band would go after Nightmare with its progressive metal style that would be prevalent on The Stage and Life is But A Dream.
TIMING ISSUES? What kind of timing issues? Syn always plays the solo very imperfect to the original which makes it really perfect. But Brooks is playing clean. I dont wanna be offensive but maybe get your ears checked.
@@igorpodemski9596 ok sir since you were being sassy im gonna provide you with the timestamp starts at 5:38 so youll clearly notice syn being behind on the solo in one section and off tune possibly and brooks offbeat for really short time right after it. same thing happened in bat country btw i like how you said you dont want to be offensive and tried sending an insult right after 🤣🤣
@@boendahbandofficial8628 did u already listen the save me 2011 live? listen to it first. then u can make a comparison between brooks n arin. by the way brooks doesnt make improvement in this song, i think not as good as the original version.
@@muhammadbagaskumara7382 I have listened to it, I said that Arin plays this song better, I don't like Brook because he changes a lot of the cymbal strokes and rides which are very typical in the middle of the song, I don't think Brook does it because Portnoy is far from his playing character
You know brooks have a better musicianship he knows when to improvise or not it's like you compare brooks playing unholy confessions improvised with arin playing unimprovised basically the same thing in reverse
I heard this song in front of 75 000 fans at Festival d'été in Quebec 13 years ago
.. and I still remember the shivers on my arms
This song joins "Orion", "Call of Ktulu", and "No Leaf Clover" on the list of great songs I never thought I would get to hear performed live again.
Metallica routinely plays those three songs though, just not at most concerts.
@finallife6 on this tour yes. And Clover is still fairly common. But prior to the M72 Orion and Ktulu weren't super common plays
Top 5 avenged song all time
I dont care how people compare this with Save Me 2011 played by Arin, that man Brooks Wackerman is still amazing for me!

They must have just added this song to their set list. It’s a little rough but it will get better! My favorite Avenged song ever.
He sounded better a few weeks ago when they played it Matt's voice could be worn out.
m.shadows voice 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Brook shillouette like The Rev
kok gong cymbal nya ga kedengeran, cuman kalo di kamera belakang drum kedengeran
still miss save me live 2011-2012 played by arin
What was the big deal on that lol
I think Arin plays more than Brock in this song, he plays like in the original song, there is no improvement

He's losing his amazing voice 😢

@@SchoolOfComedy he does sound very strained on the rasp
Yeah he can't sing high notes anymore. Really sad...
He's compensating with more rasp and grit but this way the song loses parts of its melody
