The market in Aups (10 minutes by car) is our favorite market. We bought soaps, jewelry, olives, garlic, tappenades & paella. We could take Loulou & Coco but it's so hot it's better for them to stay in the cool house.

I love that little village of Aups that you go to - it's just perfect. The nicest markets. And the booth that sells soaps - it must smell heavenly there. This is the third or fourth year that I've seen your holiday videos & I think I liked your other villa better. The one in the countryside next to the vineyard,vegetable garden & olive trees. It didn't seem like there were many bugs there. Just bats [haha]. I wonder if there are more insects where you stay now because it's close to water? Hope you continue to have a nice restful holiday & feel much much better. PS - your homemade holiday food looks wonderful - I like that you still prepare your own meals rather than eating out all the time like so many of we Americans do when on holiday.

I can't believe LL actually ate Fred's food off the table! Fred seemed to take it pretty well, and was more worried LL might get sick. So many magical moments in the video, but the greeting you get from the doggies when you return is so sweet.

Being greeted by your mini is something that never, ever gets old. If a Dachshund chooses you to be one of his/her people, you are golden. They can make even the worst day and stress just melt away, even if just for a moment. 🥰

Thank you so much Eveline, I have a smile on my face from the beginning to the end of all your videos, in fact, I can almost speak Dutch now, 🤣 I love listening to your voice, and the subtitles help me to learn. It looks and sounds, the cicadas are very loud, very hot, we are having a mini heatwave here in England at the moment, but not as hot as France Spain and Portugal. LL and CC are so intelligent and very obedient (mostly) and always stop when you say No. it keeps them safe. This message is becoming too long now so, thanks again, I look forward to tomorrows video, love from England. ❤

So glad i found this channel. I find these holidays videos very calming, especially the sound of the river, and the nature - the slower pace is really relaxing and peaceful...until the dogs show up! 😄 big love to the family

Hi Eveline! Did you see any Bastille Day fireworks? Loulou is truly a Land Shark! She and Coco were very “naughty” today with the food stealing and drinking the pool water, but they can’t help it. They’re too cute! I could imagine what those soaps smelled like at the market! This is the charm of Europe! I would want to drive around and explore, too. The sound of the cicadas is hypnotizing. I wonder what the sound is like for the dogs? They don’t seem to mind! 💐🌷🌞🦗

Agreed. I so look forward to watching these when I get home from work. And I had my own Loulou who was a master at getting up on the kitchen table. We learned not to leave anything on it. Smart little buggers. Enjoy the rest of your vacation.

The village looks so much like a place I would like to be. Rustic, charming, handmade food and things like soaps ( I love handmade soaps). Romy's bracelet is lovely.I especially like her initial on it. You are so kind to share your vacation with us, Eveline. I just love it!

It seems like everywhere you go they like being everywhere you go to enjoy the view of what's going on in the scenery so they can have courage to make you feel better about yourselves.

12:30 Those look like biscuits I remember from my youth. My paternal grandmother, who was English, loved them with her tea, and I came to love them also. They were called Social Tees in Canada, but they may have had a different name in Europe.

Haha, LouLou is just like a human on vacation, trying local foods but eating too much of the unhealthy treats. :) (I'm glad she has strong digestion and the bones didn't cause problems.)

Aups reminds me of some similar sweet little towns I've been to. I love the narrow, cobblestone streets. You bought all of my favorite foods! It's great you could hang your laundry outside in the sunshine 💖🐾🐾💖

Is the house cool enough during the heat wave? I know that there is no air conditioning in France. I can't believe Loulou's appetite. She really is a shark. Poor Fred missed out on all the seafood.
Just an idea - seeing the dogs drinking the pool water, you might get one of those pet water bottles that has a bowl shaped lid that allows the dogs to have a drink on the go? I'm just thinking if the dogs were full of safe drinking water, maybe they wouldn't want the pool water? Your family is so lovely! Your videos brighten my day. Hope you all are doing well.

I had the same problem with my late sweet chihuahua Minnie. She reminds me so much of Loulou. She would drink the water in the pool but she loved swimming. She wasn’t a teacup chi she was about 11 pounds. She would cry when she saw you putting on your swim suit and cry until you went to the pool with her. She would lay on a blow up mattress in the pool and looked like she was sunbathing. So cute. I miss her dearly.
The Villa looks heavenly. Where y’all went swimming in the river look very nice also. What a lovely place to visit.
Glad everyone is feeling better and you are recovering from your metal poisoning Eveline. I just got over Covid also. No fun that is for sure. But really just a bad cold is the variant I had. Not the original where people went in the hospital.

Oh oh, Loulou, the table food moucher on the prowl! Well at least she likes what you eat. I love you guys walking in the town's square in the market. And I liked that you n the girls, took a short walk in the inner street where houses are just meters away. Reminded me of my grandparents house, where your neighbor was just across the path. My hope is to go back to the homeland of my forefathers. My family came from Europe, and it is a different life style there then where I live now. I felt for Fred looking to see what is forsale on the market. Europe is having a heatwave. I hope that while you are all there, no horrible storm comes to where you are vacationing. Thank you so much for sharing what life should be for all of us - joy n happiness, and a few laughs.

Perhaps putting out several bowls of water for them might stop them drinking from the pool? Next to the pool (and changed regularly so still cool) and in shaded areas so they can take a break from the sun and get refreshed. What a beautiful place and it looks like they are having a great time.
