The End Time are certainly something, but this seems a bit too harsh. Most of the events described are indeed being orchestrated by a few players for very specific motivations, mainly by Lileath, who has put two major plans into motion: the creation of the Incarnates (hoping to create beings powerful enough to defeat the Chaos Gods), and the creation of a safe heaven for the elves (by reenacting the elven creation myth and thus raising them to godhood). If you look at the End Times through this lens, it all becomes clearer, even the points where these two plans starts to unravel, later in the narrative.
@@Pizzifrizzo Except it *doesn't* make sense. All these players with their own motivations are watching the world around them burn and not stopping to see the bigger picture. In Warhammer lore, there is more than just good and evil. The "good guys" can often look like fucking psychopaths in most other universes. The Tomb Kings, in particular, were not evil by their nature. They're undead, sure, but in actuality they're really just arrogant, war-mongering ancient egyptians that happen to have a skin condition and magic. They are no more interested in the designs of chaos, crazy vampires, or over grown rats, as anyone else.
Imagine becoming the new god of death after defeating and absorbing the old one, then defeating your arch-enemy in battle, stealing his black pyramid whilst he's half buried in the sands broken and helpless...only to get literally undermined by a bunch of rats. That isn't karma; that's just unfair.

I know y’all said that this would be the last warhammer fantasy lore for a while, but i think there is a lot more to cover. The vampire wars, Great War against chaos, and the sundering would all make excellent videos

Wow, I hadn't read how Nagash had been defeated; by the rats!! Great video! Now that you have done the End Times, what about earlier times, like N'Kari attacking Ulthuan or something like that? The rise of twins? Thanks for the fun content!!
Wait let me get this straight. Nagash's entire plan revolves around having the chief Embalmer betray Settra without him learning about it, then have Settra just decide to leave halfway through Arkhan's banishment ritual?
The End times is not good writing unfortunately. "So Nagash has a giant flying pyramid? How did they destroy it". "A subterranean race burrowed into it". "What?"
@@ShadowdaleA As far as I remember the Black Pyramid flew only once, from Khemri to Sylvania, were it landed and stayed on the ground for the remaining End Times. The Black Pyramid hovers only in TWW 2,in the Nagash Trilogy and all other mentions it is located firmly on the ground.
A lot of 'Fall of...' titles for Warhammer fantasy, showing this is the End Times. Settra really got an ignominious defeat, even to see his pyramid taken away before his eyes with his body broken and helpless. Yet even in his terrible state, even wishing for mortal death, he remained true to his convictions in refusing the help of the Chaos Gods. I recommend Mobile Suit Gundam (Universal Century), as an anime source for future lore videos.
I have a qwuestion Whenever a necromancer is brought back to life by another do they retain their free will? or do they come under the sway of whichever necromancer resurrected them ?
I get that they needed to start the 40k series for business interests, but I wonder why they just crapped out the end times to conclude the story instead of putting the fantasy series on hiatus and annoying those who still followed it.
Nice video. Such a pitiful end for the Tomb King faction. However, as others have pointed out, Settra's story did not end there. After staring out across the desert for a time Settra's thoughts turned to revenge, after which he proved why he is the King of Kings! Spoiler: He left Nehekhara behind him and knowing about the Old One relic there, travelled to Middenheim. What happened next varies between the sources. According to one account, which I accept as canon because it is so badass, Settra turned up shortly after Archaon's conquest of the city. He then gained an audience with the Everchosen and essentially said he would aid him against Nagash. Aid, but not serve. Archaon said fine but demanded that he kill Kholek Suneater to prove himself. Settra did so and then went to ground in Middenheim waiting for his enemy. When that time came, Settra made his presence known. According to the other source, he simply turned up at the battle at the aforementioned key moment. I won't say any more beyond that.

yes, a new video on settra ! If only Settra was resurrected after he heard the four voice, he could have destroy Nagash again with the help of the Chaos gods. But only if he accept their help then that is.
But then he wouldn't be Settra, to accept the help of Chaos Gods is to be their servant. And Settra does not serve, he rules. Even though I would like to see Settra rise again.
@@richardthomas9497 I'm sure he will find a way around it. But then again u r right. Settra does not serve, he rule. And he would rise again to see Nagash destroyed.
Another excellent video in this series, gentlemen. One more example of the painfully bad writing of the End Times. Hats off for being able to stomach through it to create these kickass videos.
"and then the skaven blew up the pyramid." Anticlimactic and it makes all that fighting between Settra and Nagash a waste of time for them, chaos, and the readers. God forbid Nagash be a threat to chaos, that would make the story complex and they'd have make interesting plotlines rather than chaos just steamrolling everyone. I dislike the Skaven too, they've become WF's version of "a wizard did it." They worked when fighting the lizards but they've become too much of a crutch; too convenient, it's lazy writing.
i'm not a huge fan of the end times. mainly the story is not written to see where it leads it's written with a goal in mind. same as all the other end times content. they wanted to start again so they figure why not have the world crumble.

"What?"
@@ShadowdaleAthat's such shit I can't even believe it it gets me angry how little it makes sense thankfully we have the other original end times
@@ShadowdaleA Why waste power hovering, when you are trying to charge the batteries?
Jeez, no surprise people hate these books.
Once again Nagash's true bane the skaven ruin all of his plans.
Thank yall again for continuing this series :3
Nagash just ate a god did he. The End Times is just insulting.
May finally play tomb kings. Awesome video
No wonder End Time is trash when a bunch of rats can just nuke the ultimate Black Pyramid like it is nothing.
Settra really came out of the end times looking like a champ. Faced down an actual god. Almost makes you forget his murdered his own children
His children were probably fine with sacrificing themselves
Nagash looks so cool!
Skaven plot points and their sometimes impossible ruining of plans got old really quickly for me
Yeah, same here. It's just boring how overpowered they (and Chaos) are and how weak the order factions are in the End Times.
But for real, a the end time but good series would be really cool
LETS GOOOOO
-this is the first time I have left Baldur’s Gate for anything in a few days
I have a qwuestion
Whenever a necromancer is brought back to life by another do they retain their free will? or do they come under the sway of whichever necromancer resurrected them ?
Settra will always be the coolest character of Warhammer Fantasy.
These are always very well done, thoroughly enjoyed
hello good morning nagash is such a great Necromancer
This distophia is super epic!!!😮
Quite possibly the most ridiculous, outlandish, and absurd part of the already ridiculous End Times.
Yeh.
Silly and immature at times.
Ah well, there's alway sWH III where one can have fun 'writing' one's own stories.
;-)
I get that they needed to start the 40k series for business interests, but I wonder why they just crapped out the end times to conclude the story instead of putting the fantasy series on hiatus and annoying those who still followed it.
defeating a legend, only to be defeated by overgrown rats
For the Karaz Ankor!
Khazuk-zharr Kazakit-zharr ha!
do a battletech series please.
Your warhammer content might be your best
Will you create D&D lore videos? I have been playing Baldur’s Gate 3 and there is so much lore to learn about.
Ushabti windshield wipers 5:00
Nice video. Such a pitiful end for the Tomb King faction.
However, as others have pointed out, Settra's story did not end there. After staring out across the desert for a time Settra's thoughts turned to revenge, after which he proved why he is the King of Kings!
Spoiler:
He left Nehekhara behind him and knowing about the Old One relic there, travelled to Middenheim.
Settra doesn’t serve. Settra rules!
Wizarda and warriors . Warhammer series is one of the best . I also learned lot of things and i searched and know aome details from fandom website. Anyway i loved your work and we always appreciate your hard work time and dedication towards these videos . A fan of three of your channels cold war wizards and warriors and kings and generals. I also wish you all the best and created more docs . Wish you all the success. A huge fan from Sri Lanka ❤️🔥.
Skaven clutch.
you guys are awesome and the artwork in these vids is excellent
My respect to Settra, really greatest of Kings ❤
Tragedy is all to say of the fate of Nehekhara. I weep for thee.
the whole plot twists of this end times lore is just "but they forgot about the rats" lmao
I still find it ridiculous that nagash could kill a god
World anvil is so great guys, someday I will pay the subscription and make a note pad word is write :)
Is like, wow combined with warhammer fantesy.
Thank you.
Exquisite as always
14:36 How dare you? You are sneaking in a personal opinion there :D
The End Times is such garbage dear lord.
"I am Seatrra, the Imperishable"
yes, a new video on settra !
And he would rise again to see Nagash destroyed.
can you add other sounds to the next video, for example epc soundtrack
We need a return of Settra because we need someone who slaped the skaven
AND BECAUSE SETTRA RULES 🦴🦴
Settra does not serve.
Great video!
These Nepoleon documentaries are getting wierd.
Another excellent video in this series, gentlemen. One more example of the painfully bad writing of the End Times. Hats off for being able to stomach through it to create these kickass videos.
Settra does not serve. SETTRA RULES
Settra does not serve
"and then the skaven blew up the pyramid." Anticlimactic and it makes all that fighting between Settra and Nagash a waste of time for them, chaos, and the readers. God forbid Nagash be a threat to chaos, that would make the story complex and they'd have make interesting plotlines rather than chaos just steamrolling everyone. I dislike the Skaven too, they've become WF's version of "a wizard did it." They worked when fighting the lizards but they've become too much of a crutch; too convenient, it's lazy writing.
Firm agree
Why was the black pyramid so significant?
Live Warhammer through DnD campaign? Thats heresy!
Settra rules!
SETTRA DOES NOT SERVE SETTRA RULES
i'm not a huge fan of the end times. mainly the story is not written to see where it leads it's written with a goal in mind. same as all the other end times content. they wanted to start again so they figure why not have the world crumble.
Awesome
Is there gona be video about doom more specifit unholy wars of argenta, just Ask and proposing
How were the end times so badly written. Great job making the documentary KG
Love this channel! Henry V lives please 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Again, it is NOT Warhammer Fantasy but JUST Warhammer!
Oh cool.
More plz❤❤
Settra does not serve!!!!!
We serve the true Corpse Emperor
Lmao warhammer lore being a gigantic 'BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE' moment.
yea
Fall of Nehekara😂 that happened long before this
You could ask a toddler to think a plot for the End Times and he woud come up with something better than the canon
Great video!!!
I'd definitely like to see some Legend of the Galactic Heroes or maybe even Mobile Suit Gundam on the channel.
Maaaannnn, the "End Times" plot is such an ass whooping on the Empire
LMAO
Is this the same narrator as Kings and generals? Sounds very similar but not quite so I'm not sure
