Yep I had the 9700 got the samsung s2- Lovely phone but when it comes to battery and typing I had to go back to BB and got the 9900. Take me double time to write a message on touchscreen as I forever keep hitting the wrong keys where BB is more precise and the touchscreen makes browsing so much easier :) Samsung s2 wasted a lot of my time as I was forever picking up the phone to download something to play with just because it was there lol

Hey come on! Don't compare this two smartphones because: 1. The 9700 is from 2009 or 2010, and is old (I say old because is hard to get 1 in some countries) 2. The 9900 is from 2012, is new and better than the 9700 (comfortable qwerty keyboard and very sensible touch screen :) ) I have the Bold 9700! i love it :)
did you know that: If you take a picture of a 9900 with a 9700, and 9900 taking a picture of the 9700, at the SAME TIME send it to an iphone 4s with bluetooth. a message comes up saying: blackberry is best
this is not a fair review.... 9700 was not built for os6... and the version you can put on the 9700 is patchy... hence the problems... 9900 rules tho... way ahead of the game...... as was the 9700 when it first hit the shops
how can you compare these two phones, 9900 has a 1.2 ghz snapdragon and 512 mb ram blows the 9700 out of the water! though 9700 battery life is incredible compared to the 9900 which is atrocious! and is honestly a more solid phone my friend has had her 9900 replaced 2 months ago and the keys are already falling off, its freezing and the battery lasts like 9 hours lol, some phone, looks great but doesnt last for more than a couple of months! thats why im buying the 9700! lol
