      I have a question if that's okay... I've been reading about how for coffee trucks you have to have a separate kitchen space for extra supplies and cleaning, is that true? How do you guys do it for your truck?

      @@Jas.plants That depends on your state. In Michigan only some trucks need a commissary, but because we are beverage only (and low risk) we do no need one.

    You all are amazing. All the hard work will definitely pay off! By the way, I love the cute hot cups. Where did you get them customized? They're adorable!

    Hey Hailey! I always look forward to your videos since you keep it real lol not the flashy videos with super expensive builds etc. I have a question though for my own build- what is the voltage on your machine? 110v or 220v? Any advice you can give when choosing? The whole electrical bit is quite confusing to me. Like how to know what pumps to get, generator, etc. Thank you!!

      Thank you so much! We have a 220 which required a lot more power - not ideal - but it has worked great so far! I suggest adding up all of your equipment wattage to get a final # and using that to make your decision on what generator to get. If you want a lot more equipment you might decide a 110 is the way to go, but it's definitely personal preference. As for plumbing see if you can find a local technician for la marzocco to come help with your machine install - it helped me a ton!

    What are the best ways to find places to park a truck? My husband and I are considering starting a truck in our area, and this is one of our main questions.

      I suggest connecting with local businesses. Some might benefit from having you in their lot to bring in business. The more you network and the more community events you attend the more spaces will come your way (at least what has worked for me so far)!

    Hi, love your content, you come across as very genuine. Can I ask do you find working with a smaller single group works ok in the van or do you really miss the 2 group machine?

    • @haileypolidori5824
      @haileypolidori5824  Рік тому

      I definitely prefer having my two group on board. The single group isn't so bad when it's mostly iced drinks, but it takes much longer if you will be using the steam wand consistently.

    Can you bring the coffee truck anywhere at any time, park it, and start selling things? Or do you have to speak to somewhere on the property to set up a time you can do a pop up show? I'm just curious how to start doing this!

    • @haileypolidori5824
      @haileypolidori5824  Рік тому

      You will most likely need permission from the county as well as whoever owns the property. Some places require a % of sales for you to set up in their lot, and some city owned property might not allow you to serve there. In Michigan we also need to send in a notice of intent to serve 4 days before each event to the county we will be in. Lots of red tape, but once you get the hang of it it's not so bad. I suggest contacting your local health department though because each state is a little different.
