Good video Dave. FYI on blind side backing. Since you have a window on the passenger side of the sleeper, you can look out that sleeper window and for the most part see the back of the trailer. Stay safe out there driver.
You just reminded me how in school they say "never blindside" or "never back if possible" it's like "dude, I have to do all of these things!! More often than not 🤨🤣
When I know I’m blindsiding, I was taught a trick of looking through the passenger sleeper window. Try it in a parking lot but it’s another view besides the mirrors. 🤙🏻🤙🏻

I live in Wisconsin! It’s kind of boring here Wish I new you were coming to Wisconsin Dave. We Welcome you with open arms. Drive safe brother. God Bless
The last mega carrier I worked for Roehl based out of Wisconsin most of the time I was communicating with my dispatcher. If I'm close to delivery I'm asking if I have a preplan on deck so I'm not waiting. Always kept me moving but occasionally I had to wait but it wasn't often. Driving to a truck stop that far away after a delivery isn't good either because it might be in the total opposite direction of your upcoming preplan. Fuel is a huge cost out there.
"That's truck'n Dave, that's truck'n" lol I love the way you practice "G.O.A.L." (get out and look). Remember girls & boys, the secret is baby wipes ! In the truck always have : a bucket w/ garbage bags (& cat litter), toilet paper ... and baby wipes (emergency shower)... AND A DASH CAM... God bless folks... Oh yeah ! ... We saw it ! Boom ! lol
11:55 the armpit fertilizer had me rolling man, And there are many amish around here in Kentucky, I Understand what you mean when you say they are deo free, they are 100% natural for sure.
I don't think blindsiding into that dock was even necessary, but I'm not going to question your own decision to do it that way. Sometimes blindside backings really are necessary, and you can't get good at blindsiding if you don't practice them - including occasional situations that don't require them. This place looks like a good place to practice blindsiding at. Alternatively (for any of your viewers who might go there and not want to blindside back), you can also nose into the dock area, then sightside back into that same lane that you nosed into, then pull back out facing the street, then you'll have a straight or offset backing into the dock. When I looked at the satellite view of this place before getting to the part of the video where you arrived there, the 3-point turn-around was exactly what I had in mind as soon as I figured out where the dock was and when I saw that lane there. I'm pretty sure that lane was put there specifically for that purpose too

You’re almost there man. 7 more days. My clocks counting down to. I’m going into a trucking school in Cabool towards the end of September. Super excited but really nervous. I have tons of solo experience driving cross country, but in personal vehicles. Closest thing I have to trucking experience is hauling my car on the back of a uhaul trailer 2100 miles. Driving is all I know.
That 15'6 scared me again because I'm currently in training and yesterday I drove my trainers truck for the first time and with all the intake of numbers I've been doing I saw a 16' sign and freaked out and tried to get off the highway but remembered right after and laughed and said at least I'm paying attention to the signs!
