you should make a mini golf putting area on your garden and a river cutting through it and put a bridge on it and some good looking plants on the edges and open spaces. You could put a fountain in the corner and the river will flow from it

You should get a built in trampoline, not just buy one but actually dig out the ground and a fit a professional trampoline in, that'd be pretty nifty!

Toms grandad has got to melt your heart.
You could do tons of stuff with the garden. To start off, maybe a pond that say had some fish in it with like a rock fountain that poured into the pond. You could also make the space into a mountain bike track, motorbike track(small jumps etc), build a small area for a fire pit or something for get togethers. or make a giant rave building lol. Maybe a small go kart track or trampolines.

tom in your garden i would do a stone path leading down to the bottom of ur garden with white gravel in between the stone slabs and on the other side u could do a koi fish pond or just a normal fish pond and on the other end u could just plant lots of different flowers or something to make your garden pop out a little it would look lovely when done

A suggestion for your backyard: okey sure you have a swimming pool inside. but how about a pool outside with waterfountains that pours water into the swimming pool and above the pool. a little "roof where you can hang lights and such?.

Tom, my garden choice would be maybe a Zen style Garden with a seating area for them summer days on the left side and a pond feature on the right filled with koi carps with slated flags separating both sides so you can still use your garden without getting your feet soaked. My idea might not be to your ideal choice but that's how I'd have mine.
Maybe have a big patio in the middle of your garden for a table and chairs and just have flowerbeds along the side of your fence and stuff
