I appreciate the honest review. I was going to purchase this strictly to use for Star Tracking (and eventually time lapse). I think I will wait a little longer to see if an update comes out. I hope it does soon, as it seems like a really good product.

Also, I hear the directions are not very clear, so I'm worried about set up. I'm more of a "watch someone set up" person and learn that way rather than a "read the instructions" kind of person anyway 🙃

Tienen mucho que mejorar aún, por ejemplo el tema ramping deberían de tener un modo gráfico, porque ahora tienes que calcular a ojo cuando se va a hacer de noche y esperar que el aumento de exposición coincida bien con el ramping, pero bueno, es usable y funciona bien Otra función que deberían poner es un botón de pausa, si le das a stop y vuelves a darle al play empieza la secuencia otra vez desde 0 en el punto en el que se quedo parado rotando, con lo que puede acabar donde le dé la gana y de igual forma deberían de poner también un modo gráfico para poder acelerar o pausar el giro en un determinado punto y continuar o parar al final y seguir haciendo timelapse sin moverse más, por ejemplo parar al ocultarse el sol y entrar en la noche sin moverse
Si, estoy de acuerdo.. por los timelapse base está muy bueno, pero una ves que hace el ramping un gráfico donde podría ver a qué intervalo es sería genial.. lo de la pausa también sería un buen implemento..

i am not sure how would the shutter speed play a role with setting the exposure value. Did you manually change the shutter every hour or depending on the scene in the camera?
Sorry I realized you meant INTERVAL RAMPING, not bulb ramping. I am just confused about the calculation about how the program will set and how to make sure that I will have 20-sec long exposure shot of the milkway during the hour that I want? so my setup will be: 1. External Slider 2. Miops capsule360 Slider will be set to: 25-30 sec interval Miops interval ramping will be = ? My desired timelapse will be from sunset to night approx 5-8 hours of runtime.
Hello, Im searching for a motor to power my slider so i need the motor to do multiple turns. is this possible or is it juste possible to do one turn so 360 dégrées

Is there a panorama mode, like the genie mini app, which can allow you to take multiple pictures and stitch them together in post production? could be great, because this one looks way better than the genie mini, even though the genie was tested by a friend of mine for astro photography, which is perfect for tracked shots at the milky way to reduce ISO noise. please let me know your experience about the astro mode. thank you!
Hi! Yes, it can do Panoramas as well, but unfortunately the Astro mode didn't work for me, they told me they will update the software and make it better, so I hope they will.. :)
Puedes controlar solo el tiempo de exposición en modo ‘larga exposición’ .. lo otros parámetros no.. En vez de uno slider no, porque el movimiento final es diferente.. pero si quieres hacer timelapse solo con movimientos circular si..

Hi, this one only does 360 degrees, it can't power a slider, unfortunately. Check out Black Forest Motion, they are selling motors for sliders.
What's the exact weight of the capsule 360? Some websites says 500 g some other 250 g. Please give me more information! Thanks for sharing!
