Also Scotland! Dude! We went in 2019 and were amazed. Edinburgh has got to be the greatest city in the world and the beauty of the highlands rivals any of our national parks. You're going to have a blast!
I strongly suggest you install an Arca Swiss type bracket to the 70-200 foot. Better center of gravity for balance and less prone to camera shake on your ball head and tripod.
@af2w131f agree too, but when it extend the centre of gravity changes. What's worried me most is, it is a great compact lens for it specs, and it is the cost. Not cheap. It is always on my wishlist, but my 🎅 santa, think I am not good enough, hahahaha.
@@iamleek have you held or seen the RF f/4 version in person? It's basically the same weight and size as the 24-105mm RF f4. It definitely doesn't need a foot even when it's extended if it's attached to a sturdy well built tripod.
That's a pretty cool device. I like that it's travel sized. I was looking at sliders but I think this might be a better option. I'm heading back to the Teton's in May and plan to shoot some more time lapses.
Oh nice! I can't wait to get back to the Tetons, hopefully sometime this summer or fall I'll get back there, and I'll definitely have one of these in the bag for the timelapses.
Noticed you said "shoot move shoot" , not to name drop MSM. I do have an MSM, and It does ok for TL, star tracker is main use though. Maybe one of these and bracket for 2 axis. Had my eye on these for a while. I'm surprised you don't have a tripod with leveling ball built in. I LOVE my PROMASTER tripod/leveling head. Also have leveling base, all of $60. Also love how clouds pretty much stay still.
I don't know if have seen of David Attenbough new series called "wild isles"? Only 2 of 6 shows have been released but maybe if you can get them, they might be of help to see what is happening in Scotland.
It's possible, but with some caveats. I personally wouldn't use the hyperlapse mode to try a holy grail timelapse with it though. I'd use the Intervalometer app and pro mode and set the shutter speed to auto and the iso to 100. Then I'd take the raw files into LRTimelapse and edit and render it out. I've made a video on that workflow before (not with using a phone, but it's the same process).
@Brent Hall I'd rather ask than assume especially as "light painting" is illeagal now in many national parks but something definitely worth grabbing I think and trying out!
Realy love your videos, and your humor 😉 Keep going 👍
H thanks man, I appreciate that!
Cool, I love that you are close to matching the speed of the clouds.
Nice stuff Brent. Blows my mind how beautiful your shots are. I'm jealous.
Thanks Rick!
Love the timelapse. Good luck with the surgery.
Many thanks!

Agree!
On the RF 70-200mm f4? That lens is tiny and lightweight. I'd agree with the 2.8 version though.
@@af2w131f I was talking about the 2.8. He owns one or two.

Really nice tool!

Hello Brent, you saw the Hyperlapse option on the S23 right? Do you think its possible to do the holy grail timelapse just using the S23 Ultra?
It's possible, but with some caveats. I personally wouldn't use the hyperlapse mode to try a holy grail timelapse with it though. @Brent Hall Thank you Brent. I'll try to find it on your page. Keep up the good work!!!
Does your old capsule still work ? Would you still recommend the older version today?
Yeah, my original one still works just fine. Never had any issues with it.
You mentioned this would be good for astrophotography, could this work with a star adventurer? Or more one or the other type situation?
I meant mostly just to do motion-controlled astro timelapses.

Scotland definitely don't skip on visit to Isle of Skye mate you won't regret it .
Yeah, definitely hitting up Skye for a bit!
