Iv messed it up on my first job After 4.5hrs i stopped and forgot to put it on break and to me i was on break but taco wasn't Had a 2.5 hour rest instead but it was recorded as other work. Now i am scared and frustrated incase i get pulled 😢
FFS. Where is smart screen like android. Clear & colourful screen show the live of remain time and break without press the button. I wonder why so many new drivers like me are confused to understand how to operation old LCD screen.
Agreed it's high time this system was bought up to date,an app based system would be able to provide prompts and safeguards, also it would be impossible to forget or lose
So we’ve got self-driving cars, AI that can roast you better than your friends, but somehow we’re still stuck with these clunky, ancient-feeling tachographs. It’s like they’re stuck in the early 2000s while the rest of us are living in the future. Looks like bureaucracy loves to move at the speed of a snail in molasses. I have a feeling that until regulations catch up, drivers are still stuck plugging in those cards and dealing with physical devices like it’s Y2K all over again. I mean, we’ve got smart toasters now, but nope, no app-only tachographs just yet, even if you think of turning that into a business idea.
It's not that hard once you're using it you've just got to watch out you don't go over 4 and a 1/2 hours drive time, Basically take a 45 minute break every Four and half hours
It was helpful , thanks 👍🏼
Any way to get in touch personally please? On my way to being a trucker in Ireland and need some guidance on the tacho system please please?
