Nothing like that. People are attracted to good people especially humble people naturally. There is an attraction beyond sex and bed. You need to explore that form of attractvity.
Chris Hemsworth is a very handsome and photogenic person. He's also got a lot of charisma and excellent comedic timing, which I feel really goes unnoticed. You can tell from the comment section. Everybody's talking about the women in the video supposedly objectifying him, when they were talking about him being really, really funny and nice to work with.
I'm not going to pretend that I didn't expect a response of about this caliber. I've been on the internet long enough. That being said, I don't think acknowledging that one finds someone subjectively attractive is inherently objectifying. I think its objectifying when one treats another person as though their perceived attractiveness is their only merit. Though I'm going to avoid making sweeping generalizations about "you people", seeing as I don't know you from Adam.
But that's only because "good personality" is deemed negative in our society. In this case, they specifically talked about his sense of humor and his singing talent. Not the same thing.
Too bad the movie was awful. Poor script, uninteresting villain, one dimensional stereotypical characters and it wasn't funny at all. No wonder it flopped.
I love how they literally talked about all of his good qualities aside from just his looks and people are still saying, "so why can they objectify him, but we can't objectify women?!" The difference in what is happening here is that they are saying that literally all of his qualities are attractive, not just what he looks like. If someone finds every aspect of a person appealing, i.e. their sense of humor, their talents, their intellect, their kindness, their looks, etc, then it's not objectifying to talk about that. Objectifying him would have been to say, "oh he's such a hot piece of meat, look at that body!", because when someone says something like that, then they aren't looking at this person as a person...but that's not at all what's happening here.
Since when has Chris Hemsworth been cast for his talent? "If I were you, I’d go for 'Fables' #1. The artwork is sophisticated, it’s intelligently written, and it doesn’t objectify or stereotype women.""Ooh, Thor! He’s hot!" --Stuart and Penny, THE BIG BANG THEORY "The Bakersfield Expedition" "I don't think Thor's technically a god." "Well, you haven't been near his arms." --Grant Ward and Maria Hill, AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot

+Bluetycon9 nooo i would love for a guy to talk like that to me. A couple a weeks ago jennifer lawerence(?) was at graham norton, literally every comment was about her boobs, thats whats degrading for us

I get the negative feedback about the movie looking bad, cause it does look pretty damn bad, I just dont get why many people are like offended and upset about it. It's just a bad looking movie, plenty of those happen every year, I dont get my panties in a twist over them.

I would say the only objectifying part was when the hosts put up the picture of him shirtless as Thor. Even Scarlett Johansson said he was the most attractive Avenger.
I have seen so many comments saying "they should have done another Ghostbusters with the original cast!" When did they last read the obituaries? Or do they believe actual ghosts can do movies nowadays?
+Brian Fantana There is not one clever joke in this movie. It's like it was made for little children. Seriously, there is a queef joke in te first 10 minutes of the film....ugh
Personally I don't care about Ghostbusters, even the original. Came out before I was born so I don't have nostalgia goggles but I did see the movie and liked it. As for the remake, I also don't care because Hollywood only seems to do remakes and sequels that you just get jaded at some point.
Yeah, the first one I watched when I was growing up in the 90's...it's super weird. It's trying to pass off monsters as ghosts...but no. Those are monsters....possibly aliens. But definitely not ghosts. I won't be watching the new one when it comes out.
I am probably going to get smack for this, but why is it so wrong for women to say that a man is perfect and gush over it. I get pretty flattered when it happens to me. 😊
+JayKaySpliff For what? They were saying he was all around extremely talented, and it made them jealous. Why would you think a woman would be offended by that? Or do you just assume that just because someone is a woman that they're uptight?
violetsnotviolence Indeed they said he was talented, however more emphasis was on how "hot" he is, which there is nothing wrong with that, however had this been the other way round, and a group of men, began commentating on how "hot" another actress was, all hell breaks loose and they are labelled dirty old men.
JayKaySpliff Apparently we didn't watch the same clip. The emphasis was on how perfect he is. And honestly women don't usually get angry when a man says this woman is objectively attractive. It's the language that's used that gets women upset. For example watch a clip, any clip about a woman who is well endowed and read the comments. They're disgusting.
Historically, sex objectification of Man is different than woman's. Man doesn't live for, die for, or get abuse because of sex objectification. EVERY SINGLE DAY. There's different meanings in those concepts. Stop with the false symmetry.
To be honest, the whole thing feels like a self-generating controversy. If the movie had simply been advertised as 'Ghostbusters' and it had four women in the lead role, no-one would have given a damn, but they had to connect themselves with Feminism and 'defeating Misandry'. That's effectively throwing down a gauntlet to those who oppose the Feminism movement in its current form. The most ridiculous thing is that neither side is innocent, this was supposed to be a light-hearted summer movie that you could take the kids to, but instead it became a political punchbag for both sides of an extremely complex and delicate matter, and that kind of ruined it for me.
Hmm, amazing that, the part where you read words I didn't type :) As I said, I'd been bouncing from video to video, initially looking for reviews, and somehow ended up here, where I made a comment. If you feel that is worthy of having this conversation, you need to find a better hobby.
lala lova No, the fact of the matter is that had they brought in somebody who knew what they were doing like Joss Whedon or JJ Abrams the end result would've pleased all sides of the debate. Instead they brought in Paul "Still Coasting On The Memory Of 'Freaks & Geeks' And Drunk On 'Bridesmaids'" Feig who decided to give us an all-female version of the average Adam Sandler movie. And I say this as someone who actually applied to work on the damned thing with an Amy Schumer-esque niece whose declaration at the age of 3 that she was going to be a firefighter has received nothing but encouragement from all comers.. So what say you take your passive-aggressive misandry on a suitless spacewalk, m'kay?
It is not sexist to not want to see a movie, but not for what ever reason you are proposing here. However for some reason i suspect based on this comment of yours that you are a sexist bigot non the less.
ensteffo The bogeyman always lives in the mirror: embezzlers constantly check their account balances, burglars are obsessed with protecting their stuff, data trespassers are adamant that their information doesn't want to be free, and casual bigots such as yourself assume everybody is narrow-minded. $20 says you can't even articulate a valid artistic and/or logistical reason for the casting choices.
I like how Kate just goes with it, she's just like "yeah I like women but ya know"
I like Music trust me, as a straight man - there ain't enough gayness OR straightness in this world to stop one from crushing on Thor

Yeah, the first one I watched when I was growing up in the 90's...it's super weird. It's trying to pass off monsters as ghosts...but no. Those are monsters....possibly aliens. But definitely not ghosts. I won't be watching the new one when it comes out.
More like demons and other supernatural beings.
Kate McKinnon is working it! love ya Kate.
Kate be like: *rolls her eyes* oh here we go again...
i love the ladies of this cast, i love them so, so much. they could talk about kitchen cleaners and I'd love it.
I am probably going to get smack for this, but why is it so wrong for women to say that a man is perfect and gush over it. I get pretty flattered when it happens to me. 😊
Because if a man were to say the same thing and behave the way they did, the man would be labelled a vile perverted sex fiend.
+JayKaySpliff and because they are trying to spin this terrible film as older men being sexist so it's sort of hypocritical on top of that
+JayKaySpliff For what? They were saying he was all around extremely talented, and it
made them jealous. Why would you think a woman would be offended by
that? Or do you just assume that just because someone is a woman that they're uptight?
violetsnotviolence
Indeed they said he was talented, however more emphasis was on how "hot" he is, which there is nothing wrong with that, however had this been the other way round, and a group of men, began commentating on how "hot" another actress was, all hell breaks loose and they are labelled dirty old men.
JayKaySpliff
Apparently we didn't watch the same clip. The emphasis was on how perfect he is. And honestly women don't usually get angry when a man says this woman is objectively attractive. It's the language that's used that gets women upset. For example watch a clip, any clip about a woman who is well endowed and read the comments. They're disgusting.
1:56. Melissa couldn't help but agree too
Even if I hadn't enjoyed this movie it would have been worth it being made for just these interviews oh my god! SO funny :)
omg, these ladies together make me laugh till I cry... they could take their act on the road
Graham: Chris Hemswort-
The Girls: aaaahhh...
Ghostbuster was iconic so I hope this version give it some justice.
Do you feel better now? Good. Anyway, I enjoyed this, and I enjoyed the movie.
Only Chris Hemsworth has the ability to turn a bunch of 40+ year old women (besides the woman on the right) into cougars.
Henry The Unicorn the “ woman on the right “ is extremely gay , 😂😂
Thanks for posting.
He is just too Thor-some!
You don't have hammer down with that joke
that joke was very Loki
We Odin nothing, but he is just so perfect!....to perfect, really.
Kate just sitting there like 'yup, nope. Still gay.'
Historically, sex objectification of Man is different than woman's. Man doesn't live for, die for, or get abuse because of sex objectification. EVERY SINGLE DAY. There's different meanings in those concepts. Stop with the false symmetry.
Wow, now that was a conversation....haha.
I absolutely loved Melissa and Kristen in bridesmaids....hilarious!
This movie was awful however.
This is like Jensen Ackles
Acts
Sings
Funny
Kind
Beautiful
Plays guitar

Kate’s just sitting there like, “yeah I’m gay”.
kate looks so confused when everyone is swooning over the photo, she's like 'personally i dont get it but go off i guess'
I died during this whole interview. LIKE THE BOOGER THING OMFG IM DYING
You know "misandry" is seeing men as unequal, right?
Yeah, meant misogyny, had been dragged from one video to another about this and it became a kind of blur :)
You've been going around Ghostbuster videos adding that comment? Wow, you need to find a hobby.
Hmm, amazing that, the part where you read words I didn't type :)
As I said, I'd been bouncing from video to video, initially looking for reviews, and somehow ended up here, where I made a comment.
If you feel that is worthy of having this conversation, you need to find a better hobby.
I misinterpreted then. Unsure how this is the video to comment that on though. Maybe try one where your comment would be relevant.
So basically, by their own admission, Chris was cast simply to be eye candy. Tell me again how the people who don't want to see this movie are sexist.
lala lova And yet he's playing a brainless bimbo whose first instinct is to give the logo a bustline.
lala lova No, the fact of the matter is that had they brought in somebody who knew what they were doing like Joss Whedon or JJ Abrams the end result would've pleased all sides of the debate.
0:05 Kate's reaction 😏
Makes me proud as an Aussie to hear about other Aussies out there spreading good vibes.
Honestly, Chris was the best part of that movie! He was the funniest one there!
in the first 5 seconds all of them went numb.... even McKinnon 😂😂😂😂
Oh my land, Leslie Jones you're so funny. :D You ladies all make me laugh so much and I loved this version of Ghostbusters! :D
1:46 thst smile though😊🙈
“Or if he does have boogers they taste like cornflakes”
" He's HOT Mann.! " 😂😂😂😂😂😂
The way Leslie smiled and looked to the audience for approval of her attempt of being funny at 1:46 was cringe-worthy.
They laughed before she looked out at them as if surprised she got a reaction. Jeez....
She looked like a dog in dire need of attention.
how funny... just like you being annoying for attention...
This is actually funnier and better than the actual movie.
I think everyone is attracted to him. He is gorgeous
How can a movie with a cast like this not do well?
@Kartik Gupta Because the script was horrible and the director just told the actors to just improvise all their lines. There's the problem.
omg, who is the woman in red??? she should have played Nina Simone! what a resemblance
That smile after, "...if he does have boogers, I bet
they taste like cornflakes"....SO 100.
lol this is the best
Your standards are SHOCKINGLY low.
+Fortworths No one asked you! Leave!
Emily Ericson Make me a sandwich first.
+Emily Ericson haha dont think you can tell someone to leave because you disagree with their comment
Hahahahaha their collective reaction was so good.
Melissa McCarthy is hilarious
I loved her Colors of the Wind lip sync on Jimmy Fallon :D
Their reaction to the name "Chris Hemsworth" is every woman's reaction😆
I love Chris Hemsworth he seems like a fantastic human being so talented, funny, and sweet 😆
0:03 me everytime I hear his name 💖
