The interactive cues are a brilliant idea. Makes the rides more fun.
Earl D (BusyWriting2) Agreed. Plus it gives you something to do instead of sitting around.
I love that the Imagineers are clearly still kids at heart.
Please stop giving this que hate. Disney is just trying to make the ride more enjoyable, and if you ask me, they did a pretty good job
I agree. This que makes long lines worth the wait.
Not only was it an inspired idea, but how well...professionally it was executed is amazing! Great stuff. After all these years to actually give a small but exciting face-lift to a classic Disney ride is a win-win.
These posts that are negative say nothing about this project...
I like the idea of it being interactive like that. It adds something, it doesn't detract. And when you're waiting 45 minutes or MORE in the hot Florida sun for a 15 minute ride, it's nice to have something to almost distract you from the wait time.
The host CM's voice is PERFECT for this video! Well done, Eric!
Fantastic, The Hunted Manson is hands down my all time favoirte attraction!!!!!
One time I got the pipe organ to actually play once
Shinny? What're ya doing here?! How's Cadence?
Pinkie CupcakePie
@@2doot ahhh you're one one my favorite youtubers what are you doing here three years ago?
@@Direpig 5* or 4 when you were still alive
I think the gags have always been there. There have always been tomb stones with jokes on them in the queue. The gags are just bigger now.
I have to say, I like this idea, regardelss of it being "not apart of the eerie Haunted Mansion" atmpsphere. Can't wait to see it. Oh, and for those saying you don't like it at all:
At least it's better than standing in a 2 hour line with nothing to do while you wait to get in the mansion.
Im going here in winter, Im so happy they have interactive queue's here! Waiting in line at disney land is so boring xD I'll have fun standing!
I love how there was no line on this ride, but I had to wait for an hour on the boring queues
I cannot wait to see this!! Haunted Mansion is one of my FAVORITES in the parks!
@Fiyeroni Haunted mansion has nothing really eerie about it, its always been about fun. Yea, if you are scared of ghosts, but the haunted mansion always had plenty of gags in it.
That is SO cool! I wish they had that in the HM queue at DL.
@markbundles2 I completely agree. There are some things that could be toned down and/or look a bit tacky regarding the atmosphere, and I think the atmosphere was good, but I think it's an exciting bunch of new features anyway. Disneyland is supposed to be a fun place for children, ultimately, and this ensures maintained entertainment (at least more than there was before). And if people want the queue where nothing happens, there's still one there :P
This is exactly why Disney is number 1!
love that they reference old things
The Haunted Mansion Queue is my favorite in all of Disney World! It's so much fun!
@Quintinlicious fine balance between dark and funny....
I love watching they're things
lol at his cheesy acting. Loved it xD
The Haunted Mansion is one of my fave's at disneyland. this looks awesome. and personally, arnt we all kids there, no matter what your age is?
they're so busy, they can't even wait for a sunny day to record!
I remember in the 90s when I was a kid this ride used to have jump scares in the attic and later were removed.
love it looking forward to visiting and definatly soping at this attraction :)
I'm totally going to spend HOURS trying to keep the books on the shelves as well as playing on that piano.
Shimey013 Walt said it best: We take care of the outside, the ghosts take care of the inside. The Mansion itself is supposed to have a mysterious mystique about it and the first half of it leading all the way to the climatic attic is supposed to be scary, because it is Claude Coat's influence. The latter half from the graveyard on is supposed to be all Marc Davis, with comedy galore. Even the theme song, "Grim Grinning Ghosts" by X. Atencio as lyricist and Buddy Baker as composer, is meant to merge the scary and funny. The thing is, the new loading queue forces the somber exterior into a corny campground nowadays and within the Mansion, Constance as a Black Widow with cheesy death puns doesn't seem to mesh as well as the other 998 occupants, because the whole idea of an insane murderess who kills for money isn't Disney at all, but the tragic love story of the former bride was Disney-like, because even in death, love triumphs over all, as the original bride and groom resided together forever in the Mansion as local ghosts...until Connie moved in.
TherealRNO but Walt Disney was only talking about the one in Disneyland lol
TherealRNO he didn't work on the one in wdw
@@sarahlynn2575 Both Mansions were constructed simultaneously, two of everything was built because by the time work had commenced on the ride, The Florida Project was already realized, so when the show in Florida was finished around the time Disneyland's opened they locked it up for three years until the resort opened. The Imagineers of then still held to the idea of a clean and well-maintained exterior even in the Magic Kingdom version of the ride, if you look at early photos of their Mansion you'll notice the flowers and trimmed lawn.
Connie?
@@raidenriot Connie can be used as shorthand for Constance.
Remember too, despite what merchandise/marketing might try to sell you, Constance Hatchaway-Hightower aka The Black Widow Bride is NOT the previously tragic Beating Heart Bride, who went under various iterations in her own right (Priscilla Gore from Ken Anderson's Captain Gore storyline, Emily Cavanaugh Gracey nee De Claire from _The Haunted Mansion Comic Book_ by SLG Comics as well as the "Ghost Gallery" list of character bio obituaries for all 999 Grim Grinning Ghosts originally found at doombuggies.com [before Constance's unwarranted replacement of Beating Heart in 2006-2007 for the 40th anniversary rendered most of those character bios mere fan canon rather than officially recognized by Disney, despite actual theme park Cast Members & die-hard Mansion super fans creating them, with the exceptions of naming the Stretching Room's tightrope walker to the rhymical Sally Slater because "Slater" & "gator" both rhyme & her ill fate has her becoming alligator bait, meanwhile Ezra, Phineas Pock and Gus have essentially become the quintessential canon names for the trio of Hitchhiking Ghosts], Sally Little in the loose _Tales from the Haunted Mansion_ comic book series, Elizabeth Henshaw in the 2003 farce of a film starring stale B-grade comedian Eddie Murphy & Bernadette [renamed such for alliterative reasons, the melancholy Bride with the glowing heart can be found, brandishing illuminated candle in-hand, floating near her tombstone inside the Lonesome Manor graveyard] as per the retro Mansion-themed level located within the Bog Easy section of the 2 Epic Mickey videogames), with the distinct separation between talkative sociopath Constance & her quietly somber predecessor being universally proven through the continued existence of the unchanging forlorn Attic Bride of Tokyo Disneyland (which operates the pre-2006 version of the attraction).
Of course, then there's Disneyland Paris going the extra mile in terms of thematic storytelling by setting all of Frontierland within the fictional Gold Rush era thriving community of Thunder Mesa & focusing its standalone prevailing cohesive narrative on the town's imminent downfall, obviously centered around the fallen corrupted land baron Henry Ravenswood's lovely daughter Melanie Ravenswood being terrorized until beyond her own death by the malevolent undead specter of her vengefully spiteful father resurrected back from the grave into the wickedly cackling form of the titular Phantom, henceforth cursing the once opulent Ravenswood Manor into becoming the permanently derelict Phantom Manor forevermore.
@Fiyeroni I think Disney knows what they're doing; they specialize in what they do and make everything exceptionally well done. I personally like it as does probably most others as well.
Looks amazing!!
This is reminding me of the history of the walkthrough Sleeping Beauty's Castle. So many people would stop for too long and look at everything, making the line back up. It does seem like there's a lot of open space in there... I'm sure the CMs will work out a system to keep people moving, or at least the ones who actually want to see 999 ghosts. This does seem really cool and I'll hope for the best.
I cant wait looks great
really cool stuff!
that's so great!!!
It was so much fun today!!
Yeah, it does look really cool. So glad they brought back the one-eyed cat and the old sea captain.
Disney this is awsome!! I think it would be cool if you had a walt disney gravestone as well!!!
This is awesome. Looking forward to checking it out in May!
@disneylover101: You're not supposed to really know the ghosts are jolly until after Madame Leota's seance allows them to cross over. Despite some dark humor in the stretching room, you really aren't sure what their attitude is until after that. To be honest, they seem kind of ticked off until then. After the seance, only the bride is a negative personality. That's the concept of the ride - finding out that the ghosts are jolly after initially worrying that they're hostile. The new queue underc
@Shimey013 imagineers who designd the ride a long time ago plannd the first half of the ride to b more spooky and eerie, and the other half to b a lil more lighthearted with few gags. so i think this interactive queue, while fun, does kinda take away from the spookiness thats left.
I like it. It'll be fun to see when I go next time.
Actually, the gags don't really get going until after Madame Leota's incantation. The "plot" of the ride is in finding out that the ghosts are mostly friendly. The first part is supposed to be mostly spooky, and the new queue undercuts that.
Thus is my favorite ride!
I read as 'interactive queen' lol
wow i bet that was surprising 4 guests when they went on the ride that morning
history freaks will love the references :)
I will be there in June can't wait.
Okay, I totally agree with the crapy quene, however it IS optional!! you can skip it and keep the creepy atmosphere,
@Fiyeroni fine balance between dark and funny....
One Day wow!
and that is completely true too, cause i was there last week, and being the snoop that i am i peered through the cracks in the construction walls, to find a jumbled mess of tools and various props. wow, why couldnt i have gone there a month later than i did, this is my favorite ride in the entire park, and this video just blew my mind!!!!!!!!!!
I know a lot of people who don't go to Disney World specifically for the long lines so Disney is just trying to make the experience more enjoyable. You also don't have to go through the graveyard. There's a shortcut that takes you straight to the line.
i loved this part! its so fun and reminds you of the playful aspect of the haunted mansion
You have somebody that agrees w/ u bro. Thats wat imagineering is all about... entertaining guests of all ages. If they made it too spooky, it wouldn't be a family ride anymore
Yeah I hate being scared
I can't wait to see the new Interactive Queue for Haunted Mansion! (I hope...)
@Fiyeroni I some what agree but he did say the haunted mansion is and always has been a mix of dark and funny. Remember its disney.
awsome vedio
When I was a kid, I hated standing in those long lines. I was stuck there with nothing to do and it felt like I was missing out on the magical experience. Now, kids won't feel that way. As for you adults with the negative comments, maybe you're too old and crabby to be visiting the Magic Kingdom. Maybe you should be going to an amusement park that caters to more adults. That would make the lines shorter and everyone would have a better experience.
personally I think this is a perfect example of one of the best thing Disney does. They make the actual wait for their rides fun! Its not like an ordinary amusement park where your just standing in a roped off area for 45+ minutes, they actually make it interesting and fun to be in or just even look at!
SCARY
@Fiyeroni from what i know on this, it might be an optional choice to go through or just enter the mansion, but I think its okay depending on what is used
The musical crypt looks cool---reminds me of something they had in the old Image Works in the old Journey Into Imagination.
I've seen the poetry crypt in others' videos;I'm assuming it responds[via voice-recognition technology}to your speaking the correct rhyming word.
they actualy have two lines, one if you wish to go through the "Grave Yard" and one to skip the graveyard and go straight to the ride.
@Fiyeroni Yeah I agree with you on the sounds.
Oh and Happy Halloween everyone, evil, lol.
What was it that Walt said, Disney would take care of the outside, and the ghosts could take care of the inside. basically, the outside wouldn't be haunted, only the inside. Of course, who cares what Walt said....
I'm really looking foward to this when I return to the Magic Kingdom - just not when it first comes out, because that would be a crazy time, everyone trying to go to see at once. It seems so cool and really seems to fit the Haunted Mansion's cooky, silly environment. Its not meant to be full out creepy or scary. To quote @CutesyBubblez from earlier "Hello, it's 999 "Happy Haunts", not spooky haunts." Thanks CutesyBubblez!
Except Constance disrupts this, being a heartless Black Widow/resident ax murderess, after all.
I am going to disneyland California in March break!!!❤
Master Gracey now has no room to rest in peace. :(
2:19 that face!!!
¡Ustedes son brillantes!
@Fiyeroni= The Captains tomb leaks water, probably to indicate his watery demise. I give it a year, before they shut the water off, just like how the cabin at Frontierland Disneyland doesn't burn anymore.
So glad they did this...it makes for a much more entertaining wait to get in, and it makes for a much more interesting ride. As someone who went twice a year after I was born, I can tell you, this was definitely a change for the better.
Can you guys please put miss April December portrait in the portrait Hall please Disney please please please
0:55 Oh you
@Fiyeroni the entire point of the haunted mansion is the illusion of scary but throughout its still all just gags and noises
interactive queues for all rides i say!
@Shimey013 Agreed, but that was usually reserved for the interior of the Mansion. This new queue breaks up the mystique and atmosphere of the Mansion -- made you anticipate what was coming up next. Leave the silly gags where they belong, after the ghosts materialize.
Idea: tater tots (spoilers from the 2023 movie) should've had one eye.
well this is going to be annoying waiting in line now hearing all of those instruments and noises......just like waiting in line for expedition Everest with everyone ringing the bells.......lol
I'm slowly warming up to the changes, but I don't know if I would want them outside of WDW.
@Wonderxandra No plans for DL's Haunted Mansion queue. Thank goodness!
Is :Leota's tombstone back though? When I went for the first time back in 2006/07 (it was right at new years) that was the only thing that got me through the line, just staring at Leota. XD
@Fiyeroni The mansion isn't meant to be scary. I mean, it is a little... but it's supposed to be kind of funny and playful as well- so in my opinion the new interactive queue is a good fit!
Looks like it's going to be really neat. :D
The fact that they had the name of a character from the movie (Master Gracey) is honestly a detail that very few people might actually recognize (I think, since I didn’t even know about the movie til recently but that might just be me). Little details and in the lines like these are actually really cool
Does anyone know if the stone heads in the queue blink and move? I've been on the ride once and I tried to figure it out after thinking I saw one blink
I didn’t even know it was interactive
At 1:45 minutes, Hidden Mickeys!
my dad he loves disneyland
Your going to bring that to Disneyland right?
@Fiyeroni But the Haunted Mansion also has a goofy side to it.
IS DISNEYLAND GOING TO GET SOMETHING LIKE THIS>???!!?!!
hmmm, it just seems a little too forced - I think having interactive elements are a great idea, but these new ones just feel like they're not tombstones at all - it kinda just looks like you plonked the stones in a random place :/
When does this open?!
@Fiyeroni but The Haunted Mansion isn't scary AT ALL. I would agree with your opinion if the Haunted Mansion was in fact, scary, but it's jolly!
if it works, do you think that they will do it to the other parks that have a haunted ride...
I don't think it's a good fit for the Haunted Mansion. Interactive gags and noises don't go along with the eerie atmosphere that a spooky old mansion should have. This type of queue worked for the Pooh ride, but here it detracts from the experience.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
@MrDisneyfanman Fat chance. The Imagineers consider the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland to be sacred, so they wouldn't even DREAM of touching it, save for Halloween and Christmas.
Yes but the lines and waiting ......hmmmmm
soo you can touch stuff wierd mix.
