I lived on Kauai for about 10yrs, my husband and I unfortunately had to move off island last year, watching this stings a bit, seeing all the places that used to be my home..
While it is a beautiful place to vacation, it is home to so many people who aren't on vacation and are still working and going about their lives, please be mindful of that ❤
The mindful part could be said for any location in the world, as there are always people working while others are on vacation but I’m sure they are respectful always ❤
Oh I don't believe she would ever be disrespectful, tourism kind of over takes the island and people can tend to look at it like they're on a cruise or at Disneyland, which isn't something done on purpose, it just happens when you're in a place so catered to tourism
You should get the snorkel face mask! I got one for hawaii and it makes snorkeling more relaxing!

Did you mean tiger sharks? There really aren't many shark sightings/attacks in kauai the whole time I lived there I heard of maybe 2 or 3 at most

This is really an out-of-left-field comment/thank you.
I'm suffering from complex ptsd from childhood trauma with a heroin addict father and mentally ill mother. Caring for my mother at the end of her life brought it all back up. And thankfully I'm at a place where I can finally focus on healing. Watching your videos has given me the courage in life at times to do what is healthy for me and I thank you for that. And you have provided me a roadmap of how to cultivate friendship which I don't know how to do.
After looking at my life honestly and realizing I didn't have the normal childhood bond with either of my parents that is necessary for a child to grow into a well-adjusted adult, I've been looking for ways to re-parent myself. The loving support from your parents has never escaped me. I find it especially beautiful since I've never had that. But today, as I'm watching, I'm realizing you guys are displaying the best parts of what I missed growing up, just by the love and respect you have for each other. I just want to thank all of you for being awesome enough to share your life with the world. You should know that the example of love and care that you display is palpable and for someone like me who doesn't know how to have close relationships a learning experience as to how healthy, supportive relationships look. May you all be blessed perpetually. Thank you
