Thank you
can you help me with what third party you bought this bike from cause i cant find the insurence plan you got for 137.89 i tried calling amozon but they tell me they dont offer this plan .
When your climbing the hills drop a gear before it dies out and so it pushes more
Hi
hey
My daughter bought one of these in 2018 and still has it. I assembled it for her and I'm a veteran professional bike mechanic from back in the '60s and '70s. Here's some things to note on setting up to ride: 1) The drive chain comes too tight and if you ride it without giving it the proper slack, it could ruin the output shaft bearing and robs power. 2) It comes jetted lean and is also lean on the jet needle position which doesn't come with alternate positions for the needle. A thin flat washer under the needle retainer brings the mid-range position for a much happier running unit. 3) The chrome plated wire fixtures are cable guides that fit the front forks to keep the cables from snagging against the tire, do use them. Also, there is a slight tendency for the speedo cable to be damaged up near the steering head against some body parts. Take care, the replacement parts for these are way overpriced.
Her machine came with a locking gas cap, lots different than the one shown here. The engine is a knock-off of an engine designed for use in third world circumstances and is different from other Honda engines in being a push-rod design - it also uses one cam lobe for both intake and exhaust. With stock gearing and some break-in miles, 50mph is about as happy as it gets and it does vibrate noticeably in the higher rpm range but will maintain cruise well enough. Change the oil delivered in the machine after a bit of warm up; adjust the valves after it cools from about a 15 minute operating period.
The way it comes in the shipping crate is much like the way a dealer would have gotten them delivered, at least as it was back in the day. Being an experienced mechanic really helps to figure out all the washers and other hardware to make sure it's put together the way they intended.
👍
You sir, MVP
Such a wise possum.
That is to advance for me
That looks like an Opossum. Cool. Just that. I'm very fond of those things.
Budget bikes like that get people into motorcycle riding and teach safety basic motorcycle maintenance and eventually they’ll buy a better bike.
TRUTH
Yup! Bought my 1st bike and my kids 3 bikes for $2200 total! Now we have 2 Honda's 1 Kawasaki and my KTM Enduro!
You get what you pay for...
Buy a good older, used rice grinder with more horses, for cheap. Thats no street machine. It's a toy.
They'll buy a better bike because the cheap ass one completely fell apart. This guy needs to do a long term review. I'm predicting the electronics will disappear the first time it rains, along with the chain. Very interested to learn how his warranty works out, he'll need it.
Exsactly! My first bike was meant for kids. Over the few years I had it I eventually wanted something better witch I never thought I'd want later in life. Now I own four different motorbikes and a quad.
“Offroad use only”
Removes sticker
Not anymore.
If it's actually street legal, why would it say that?
the bike should have came with street tires and off road tires mine did
@@SmallSpoonBrigade because it's "Street Legal". That is, IF and ONLY IF you can find a state willing to get the title sorted out for it. Vermont will happily give you papers regardless of where you are.
that was the fastest conversion i've ever seen
My buddy got one of these a few months back, still rides it to this day. Things been wrecked, dropped, ran into shit, etc and somehow still runs. Needs to have the choke on at all times otherwise it won't run, speedo quit working 32 miles in, and tops out at 62 MPH, but he still rides it every single day to work and around the state. Wouldn't buy one myself, but I gotta give props to them.
Perfect first bike for folks to learn on though
I'd read a prayer before riding that too.
You are not kidding man. I definitely wouldn't trust riding that cheap looking thing on the street at 50 mph.

I've actually used this insurance company before. Bought a tv w 3yr warranty from amazon. 2yrs 7mths old it went out. I called them, they sent out a box & packaging w return pickup label. I got an email stating they sent the box etc, another saying they received it, another stating what the problem was & should ship next day. Next day I had a confirm email w tracking. Great service from my experience. The only negative is it seemed only usable 1 time within that time period. Showed up in my order history as returned items for tv & warranty.
Yo you could do this for real

These bikes are really popular in the Dominican Republic and I expect a lot of other less-than-wealthy countries too. It's basically the same bike being sold under lots of different brands. It really is not a bad bike, performance wise for what it is and for the price. The problem is overall quality and reliability. A lot of the parts are just cheap. The flip side is that in areas where these bikes are popular, spare parts are REALLY cheap, You can get what you need in any town in the DR. And given the roads here, which are less than ideal but rarely see see speeds over 60 kph (except the major highways), and the fact that many of them are dirt, it's just about the perfect bike for down here.
You sure that's even the same bike? These are known for reliability. They're nicknamed "The ak-47" in certain parts of the world (Africa/SA)
So what was the fate of this bike? Did it last longer than it took to make the video?

Used to own one of these a few years ago in high school. Absolutely loved it. Only went 45mph full throttle out of the box. By changing the carb jets, opening the air box and swapping sprockets I obtained 65mph with the wind to my back. It still wasn’t fast by any means but they were super cheap modifications. I found that the bike itself is based off an old 1978 Honda engine and sprocket set up. I really only had a few complaints on the bike with the first being that the original chain was absolute crap but I got a better one for like $20. The second was the stock speedometer was very generic looking, replaced that with a $95 digital one. And the third complaint was the original rear sprocket studs. After a few weeks of hard riding and wheelies, the studs sheered right off. Remembering the bike it’s based off of, I purchased OEM Honda studs that fit perfect and lasted for the remainder of ownership. Honestly miss the thing lol
What was the honda it was based off of?
65 is fast enough!. My current 125cc only goes a bit faster.
My brother is a mechanic and he has bought like 7 of these things for his family because they are super cheap to work on and he does this little mods to the carbs that make them run really well. He got a bulk order from china for like $8000 for 7 bikes lol loved teaching his kids how to put them together took him a few weeks but they all run great. He has had them for like 4 years now.
mike brink yeah they ride them pretty much only off road.

Dillon Harper play with the sprockets and get more torture or speed out of them for little money

What’s like 7 or like 4? Like 4 + like 3 and 2+ like 2? Did he get LIKE a bulk order?
Legend has it that he is still up there. On quiet nights, you can hear him scream...

The "wire toys" hold the clutch and brake cables in place.
A guy like him with his pant legs rolled up should have known that!
and the spring is probably for the rear brake peddle
Lol I was watching this on my tv and got on my phone to say that and yours was the first comment I saw.
That spring is for the sidestand, believe me, I have a chinese bike...AND a beard
I believe the spring is for the exhaust
The extra bits left over are to make a little storage rack. So when you go out for a ride you have somewhere to store your dignity.

Chinese bike: Dip the whole thing in blue Loctite.
I wouldn’t do anything from China rn ( it’s just a joke you kids that get triggered )
Just spray it with Lysol
I have a Chinese bike AJS TN12 125. It does what it says on the tin... gets me from A-B. Ok, the servicing is more frequent than a Japanese bike for example BUT, as long as you keep them serviced and looked after they should go for many years. I bought it for peanuts brand new. It is just the bike I need to get me ready for the bigger bikes. It's not where the bike is made, its how the bike makes you feel. Put speed aside..... its the feeling of being on a bike and free that makes people love bikes, when they are small cc bikes they are for fun and to learn. My bike goal is a Ducati Diavel, but this bike is exactly what I need just now to practice on.
@Jonathon Coffey i don't do squat on the bike, i give it to a bike mechanic and they do everything. The bike is cheap and fun but i dont want it to become dangerous. I will get the bike serviced every 1000 miles
😂😂😂
I'm thinking those 'toys' are front cable retainers - you don't want those nobbies grabbing your sloppy cables while your going down the road or trail...
Yep, that is what they appear to be. I was going to comment and found yours.
That's exactly what they are.
I was thinking about this but i could not unsee the toy, i guess this time the smaller child in me won, like when i buy a new bike... 😂
Keep your sloppy nobbies to yourself ya durty get
@jameshisself
Maybe salesmen don't know much about the assembly process??
your 'extra' turn signals are for the front. the 3 springs included are for the kick stand, brake pedal, and brake light switch. Teh screw with the bonded washer is a panel screw. the metal toys as you called them are the wire and cable guides for the front fork.
If he can be a motorcycle dealer without knowledge around those parts, then i could work at NASA, i just did not try. OK im off to update my CV. :D
i thought the same thing. imagine being so ignorant of things that are your actual job to know.
I was thinking the same from the start, the rolled up jeans sealed it.
I surprised he didn't know that. Those are basic parts.
@Reflexez He must have experience with one as do I and he's correct. There was an assembly guide shipped with my daughter's and took the time to learn what it said.
This was my first ever motorcycle. Absolutely terrifying to ride on street, because you had zero speed or acceleration advantage to get out of squirrely situations. However it made me a better rider by challenging my situational awareness and predictability. Now riding a Harley with unmatched confidence because of my experience on this bike. Great first bike for learners, if you make it through the first season.
Having ridden both cheap bikes with humble specs and more expensive ones with good specs, which would you say is the most fun?
I'm thinking about getting my first bike.
Lots of Chinese bikes come with a **delivery** oil . Not suitable for everyday use
I was just thinking the same thing... I sincerely hope he drained the shipping oil before cranking it!
@@arnierc4 didn't look like it. That's why he had the starting issues. Engine won't work long now.
Yeah he didn't show doing a oil change hope he did if not that head is already dead and if there was no sticker saying to do a oil change as there should have been a sticker than that warranty covers it. But ALL chaina bikes come with "shipping oil" to prevent rust and or locking up i forget the specs but its just flammable wd-40 you do not want to run it lol
@@soflossy6447 Who cares! He bought the 3 year free replacement parts package 🤣 hahahaha.
skyhook photography that delivery oil is good for the brake in process. You have to run your bike for one hour with that oil, no I’m not joking. With that oil the imperfections from the factory will wear off and than you should drain the oil and replace it.
“Haha were gonna take this sticker off now it’s a on road bike” I would take that made in China sticker off too.
Just don’t buy from made in China
it sounds like the carburetor is not tuned properly....
I was thinking the same, and with some work I think it would have made it up that last hill.
They are set lean from China but if you pull the slide needle out and move the set washer one spot it’s will add fuel since there is no air fuel ratio screw
Also the engine don’t come pre broke in there clear up some when broken in

$1400 is worth just having a street legal title and vin. Find a YZ250, transplant the motor and rip it!

That shipping frame would make an ok shelving unit.
Exactly what crossed my mind too...
When I was in the motorcycle industry, I used the shipping frames for all kinds of stuff, including a welding table!
Kenny Phillips yeah, bikes in the landfill but still have this Nice metal frame...
Outboards come in similar crates.... we make work benches out of them at work...
Looks somewhat similar to the motorcycle I started on. Mine was a chinese brand 200cc dual sport with 14 horsepower (claimed) called a wildfire. Tires it came with weren't slightly as knobby and whatnot, but think it was overall pretty similar to this. Was a good learner bike, a bit slow and underpowered for higher speed roads though.
A brand new Harley doesn’t even come with a tool kit.
all japanese bikes do
They don't need one
@@rugershooter5268 Yeah because the problem will be so bad the tool kit will be useless.
John Wattie lmfao
@@cheezyridr My Honda just came with an allen wrench to take the seat off. No tool kit.
Consider his weight when he climbs the hills and romps the throttle. A teenager about 70 pounds lighter should be fine on it. Rejetting may yield more power and maybe sprocket changes will help.
Don't forget a proper exhaust.
Consider spending the $1400 on a used Japanese bike that will last longer, has tons of aftermarket parts available and will hold resale value. There’s tons of 1998-2000 model YZ CR KX RM 125’s that a teenager will have a blast on and is light enough it won’t crush them like this street/trail bike will do. This is just a glorified scooter with dirt tires. This bike would be a blast to ride in metropolitan areas where a scooter just isn’t fast enough and a XR or DR650 is to heavy to yank around. But that is just my opinion, the more a kid rides the faster they get and this Chinese bike would be destroyed in a month.
Throw a mikuni carb on it. And new exhaust. And different sprockets. Thats what i did.
@@basshawk100 you need at least a 250cc in most states to be street legal.
Better off putting a whole new mikunu carb on it.
The metal toy things are to keep the speedo and brake cables from flopping around into your tire,. A little bigger jet will wake it up, and a slightly taller gearing can help. And change the spark plug to a NGK. That can help it run a bit better also.
Break in the engine and change the oil a lot at first.
I've got a 200cc China Bike from 2007. It still runs... Sometimes the electrical stuff can be cheap.. thin wires.
Some seem OK. Just locktite lots of the bolts also to keep them from vibrating loose.
These are good little knock around bikes, for beginners. And cheap enough you don't cry if you break something.
Parts are actually readily available also..
Enjoyed the video..
I own one of these and after you replace all the cheep crap on it it’s a great bike my mod list includes........ new rear break pedal and shifter petal( stock ones bend or break) ,new performance carburetor , modifying exhaust by removing spark arrestor and cat, new clutch springs so the clutch does not slip. Also modifying the air box to have a larger inlet. With these mods I made the bike feel better and have 2x more torque and power I can pop wheelies in 1,2,3 gears and the bike is no longer cold natured if you get one just remember the lock tight 😂
"You know Hawk, they make the umm...birds"
😂😂😂
All the Chinese bikes have to be re-jetted to run right, for the money they aren't bad, lots of dudes on you tube have thousands of miles on em and they're still running well.
Chinese stuff last till the shop or till the moon
I have personally put over 2500 miles on a cheap moped, I modified the intake box, exhaust etc and when I sold it I had over 4500 miles on the original engine, lots of 60-70mph 45+ min rides too, nearly twice a day 5 times a week.. it’s crazy. Mfer even shot flames
I had a stomp 140 which is a Chinese pit bike and I got about 2000 miles out of the engine before it blew up and I took really good care of it there balls of shite but only 250 euro an engine

Spring goes on the kickstand and those “roller ball thingies” are for keeping the cables in place on the fork somewhere.
Honestly, it’s not very reassuring, that you nonchalantly refer to a “ton of extra parts” that most likely belong on the bike before riding, and you sell used, refurbished bikes to people.
Sorry, but you own a bike shop, you should know this stuff.
Same as above. He just sells them. Most vehicle sales men know next to nothing about the products. I've bought many new cars/bikes and I know more than they do 🤭
Yeah, you can tell the difference between a salesman and the mechanic.
Glad someone notice the same things as me , I honestly wouldn’t trust a thing he puts together or repairs 😂
I own a 2019 Hawk DLX, basically the same as the regular but it has EFI instead of the normal carb. the box-o-parts actually does come with a handful more of screws, rubber/metal washers, and some extra rubber wire buffers. and I can say from just 6 months of work on it to replace ALL the bolts and screws with any other origin of manufacture. it'll save you time later on.
but for how cheap it is, it's pretty cheap to maintain. a half decent choice if you like light trail riding or something that, even with all the upgrades you can do to push the little 229 cc motor to the limit, can only hit about 70 mph on a very good day. mine is now basically just a commuter since no roads where I live have roads that go over 45.

i am calling it now before even watching it. It is going to be a base model Hawk 250. They are actually fun bikes. I didn't know they were for sale on amazon. I know the Orion models have been for several years. The motor is based on the Honda CG125 motor that has been upsized to 230cc. so not a true 250cc. There are many models and they are great bikes for around town or to work on. Don't forget to check the valves and change the motor and fork oil. once they are properly broken in they are slightly faster. Which is a characteristic of the Honda CG motor. You might also want to look into changing the rear sprocket.
Edit: just finished the video, several things. I hope you changed the oil, as what came in it is just shipping oil. Your valve lashings are out of spec. .05 on the intake and .08 on the exhaust. They take alot of Honda 230 parts, like the exhaust. That is the base level hawk 250. There are models with USD forks and even EFI. There should have been a manual. Dont know why there wasn't. A tip for installing the front wheel. You should have left it on the crate. Then unbolted the front and lifted it up. Those "toys" where to hold the cables ion the front fork.

Bought the 2022 hawk 250 3 months ago. I love it lol. It was a great starter bike. But now that I've gotten the basics down I want something that can at least be safe to ride on the highway. Selling my hawk in the spring to upgrade to a ktm duke 390 I think. I would recommend this for begginer. I hit 65 with out of the box specs. Bought the new barb and jetting and sprockets but havnt installed yet. Good luck on your future riding if you buy one!
Make sure you lock tight everything and tighten all the spokes.
Also put some extra grease and lube
Yeah especially the spokes.
A mate and me took off years ago on a long ride, old mate had a brand new Silver Honda XLS 250 this was in the early to mid 80's we got about two hundred miles and the mate got about twenty punchers all at the same time.
We slept on the side of the road at where it happened Uladulla NSW south coast, and next morning went looking for a new tube but could get one so bought every patch in town put 20 patches on it and we both got a crash self taught course in wheel truing with a 6 inch shifting spanner.
Yes I always check my spokes.
hodaka1000 😂😂👌🏼
This Bike engine actually was designed by Honda in 90s. They are real work horse engine, that same tech engine used in various vehicles from Tuk Tuks , Tricycle and Tri loader which can carry about 600 kg of stuff. As they are carborator base, it needed to be tuned properly.
Thanks man
Yeah it’s the same motor Honda used in the eighties in trikes and xl xr bikes . Even has the same sound . Honda has sued these companies but I guess that hasn’t stopped them .
@@michaelnesbitt4260 Honda came through in the end and licensed theses companies, they were too many companies, also some companies improve the performance and features.
. Now one of the Chinese company part Honda contractor manufacturers Under 600cc engine and even bike For honda example CBR 500 and CBR 150, CB150F.
The only thing I’m curious about is if there is actually a brass rod bearing or does it just go rod straight to crank
Yes anything coming from china will need a proper tune out of the box !
Why does it bother me when people call an electric impact a power drill...
HA bothered me too. Also bothered me when he was using it to put the bars on... ouch
I've always called em impact guns
I call mine susan
Or a drill motor
Technically it is lol
13:01 what if someone full sent off that 😧
They’d be full sent to the graveyard
They would have a good time, for a short time.
I'd like to see that thing in the hands of a dirt biker.
Why do I feel like one Superman off of a 40 ramp will make it shatter on the way down? 😂
Let's see what Megs Braaap can do with it
Would snap it in half
They actually last longer and handle better than you think.
@@danmanthe9335 that would be one broken bike Megs Braaap for President 2020,,2 strokes for all
"little toys with magnet ball" are for keeping "safe" clearance between front brake hose and odometer line from front tire. Just bolt it to the front suspension tubes.
🙈
No kidding. They've been the same since the 60s. He should have known that if he really owns a dealership!
I came here to see how stupid I'd feel when someone stated what part it was...
Ex Kawasaki service manager here.. yeah.. I feel pretty dumb.
The spring looks like the kick stand recoil spring.
6:14 Hasn’t even finished building and the stickers are peeling off cause he put it on the fricken seat.
He was sort of demeaning of the product and in the way he assembled it so mistakes were made. There are some detail refinements to be done best before it gets serious use. I assembled one of these and have ridden it for about a hundred miles just to learn about it. Most issues I found with it relate to the hardware quality - it''s fairly decent in most important things. We have a black one (belongs to my daughter) and we left off the stickers entirely.
a Mc Haha yeah ikr
had one for 3 yaars, holds up great off road, the "toy things" are to hold your brake line and speedo cable
Yeah great bike compared to what?
Anything else that you’re getting for 1400$
@@sonnycalzone7784 Oh compared to other Chinese made shit gotchya. You're better off saving your money for a quality bike, rather than buying a disappointment. This is like buying a windows 98 computer and expecting it to be good.
Steve Jones this bike is also 1/5 the cost I’m going to assume the ppl who buy this understand what they’re getting everyone wants the new namebrand stuff u til you realize you can spend a 10k pack and still jot he at the top of the mountain and if u buy the low end honda dual sports they’re no less clunky
@@sonnycalzone7784 That's why you buy a solid used bike, its so much more worth saving twice the amount of money or more if you need too. China has bad suspension, brake components, powerless motors, it takes away from the experience someone should be having.
Carbs are almost never adjusted on those bikes go through it and it'll fix your idle and give better throttle response.
The two extra turn signal lights are for the front..
Some kinda bike dealers................................
God I love this channel! I have no idea why I havnt been watching you for years! Every vid you've made in the last year has been right up my alley. Thank you!
Probably wouldn't be a half bad machine to putts around town on.
slow trail riding too, you don't always have to be extreme, to have a good time.
But you could also buy a used klr650 for the same price and it actually will run
@@neobow1 I mean this bike seems to run. Like I said not exactly performance but it would be a nice little scooter
Looks like some re gearing and tuning would really help this bike out.Not bad for 1400 bucks.
Sean never fails to give you a smile! Especially when he fell over at the end of the video.... 🤣
I'm completely hooked on these Amazon motorcycle unbox ,assembly, ride vids. Just so much fun watching i might have to order one. thanks for the great vid.
0:14 "within a week, a big giant truck showed up at my door and dropped this thing off..." fast forward 0:33 "Honestly it's been a.... month since we ordered, I forget what we ordered"
at 4:38 also said he got the bike a couple days after ordering it.
He meant that he got it within a week after ordering it but he received it over a month ago before he got around to making the video.
Or they just haven't had the opportunity to make the video until then
“Hawk motors. You guys know them, they make those uhhhhh birds” 😆
My brain cells died at this point, had to take a break before continuing.
"let's do a hill climb "
He's Comical...
Has this guy ever seen a motorcycle before? The "toys" keep your brake and throttle lines from hitting the wheel/tire.
He's a more into selling motorcycles than working on them it seems.
Ouch

Honestly this bike is better than the Honda XR150L that costs almost 5k$ here in Nepal
Seriously? It only cost $2k here in the Philippines
@@alistairmende181 every country have diferent taxes ... usa is very cheap

what ????
Whats 5k in nepalese money lol around £3.50?
That chrome thing is to hold the speedometer and the brake cable.
welp... i want one.. but you’re def not building it
Sticker: OFF ROAD MOTORCYCLE
Him: *takes off the sticker* now it’s a on road motorcycle
This looks exactly like “Honda Bros” in South America
Provavelmente é melhor
Eu acho q n bicho
And it's cheaper than the Pop 110i :P
da vontade até de chorar ;-; porra de Brasil. Eu ralando ganhando salário mínimo custei a juntar pra tirar carteira de moto e agora tenho que juntar pra comprar uma moto usada de 2001...
The toy looking things hold the brake lines. LOL And the spring looks like the ones from or z125 pro rear brake.
It's a disk brake - not a drum brake - so I assume hydraulic, and those don't need springs.
6:50 front fork cable guards. Keeps the speedo and front brake cable from flopping around
Going uphill and never down shifts . Well he said he really didn't ride dirt . I believe him.
TX Rick hack, I have to downshift my maxim on steep road hills , but it is only a 400cc...
Lol
I play GTA and even I know that
I’d probably bought a old quality bike for that money
the point is that it’s street legal
I bought my '91 FJ1200,
Great condition
On the road, with MOT certificate.
New tyres chain/sprockets etc
For a Lot less than 1400
easier for beginners to work on a brand new bikes than a decades old one with unknown issues and no troubleshooting knowledge
I had a Chinese 200cc bike I bought on line for 8 years, was a motocross Rider and wanted a cheap dual sport bike, was able to register in NJ, never had any problems with bike, did not handle as well as a ktm but was a lot of fun
JMTZ same here. Everyone bashing it but never even ridden one.
I don't bash Chinese bikes, but a lot of workshops I know wont touch them, or even service them as they in their words a " pile of shit that rusts and break ".
@Lassi Kinnunen I've never owned one, so personally I have no comment from experience, but I know the parts are very cheap and rot and go wrong quite quickly which is why the shops get annoyed and refused to work on them.
Hahaha I got one of these hawks too! It was my first 250 street and trial to ride with my son. Ordered it form some website, came 80 percent built and have been beating the hell out of it since. We went through a plethora of these chinese bikes to see if the kids would be interested in dirtbiking. Tao Tao, x moto, coolster and now my boy has a Honda 110. Im still riding this 3 years later on our property, tires are shit and alot of the parts are that cheap pot metal, but hey its a fun toy for under 1500 and runs pretty damn good for what it is!
"cheap pot metal", ah, Chinesium.
You would have gotten that last Hill if you had downshifted without losing speed. Dirt is quite different from the street.
Yeah I don't get it, you down shift on the road, on dirt, in a car, truck, bike, atv, seems weird not to know to downshift!🤔

Chinese clones are shipped everywhere .-.
I think that is exactly what it is. the motor is a clone of the honda 125cc bored over to 229cc
Are women really hot in brazil
Sean, Amazon also has Honda grom clones for a bit less than 1400! Would love to see you do a review on it (X-Pro 125cc)
That's high honestly, they are usually CG125 clone engines which are good reliable bikes, if their carbed you can get a replacement engine for like £150 on ebay. Their awesome for that.
I bought one of the Grom clone called a Tao Tao hellcat from some random website for 1100 shipped. It was a decent little bike. They have cheap hardware and not put together well when you first get it. I beat the crap out of it and it held up really well. I didn't change out a few bolts that broke and went around tightening the rest of the bolts. But If you put good oil in it will stay running for a while. I beat on it from the second I first started it up until I traded it for a gsxr750.
Welcome to the club ...been an owner of a hawk for months ...
A bit of tid bit .
The stock tune sucks ...re jet ASAP , No bolt has locktight ... Go over every nut and bolt .
And the wheel spokes need a look through as well

@@obomasinladen Yes not trying to come off as condescending, more like hoping people dont start thinking quality bikes ride like a china bike. Dont want ideas of riding a china bike going the wrong direction, thinking its just as good as a quality bike.
Could you imagine rolling up to the spot on one of these? They would be laughing at you before you even get out of the truck.
That toys from china probably is the holder for the brake lines ..
Installation required? No that's called assembly..
The two clips are strain relief for the brake lines and cables on the front forks. Out of the box the carburettor on these bikes are set far from optimal mixture, I reckon you'd climb the hill if you gave it a good tune up first. Plus the engine has had no run in, so I'd check the oil after hammering it from new. You may be surprised at the amount of metal filings you'll no doubt find in the oil.
honestly almost died when he said ''you know hawk the ones who make the...….. bird!

You sure that thing even has oil in it? Did you check? They sometimes come with NO fluids at all...
Chinese engines run surprisingly well without oil i found😂😂.
