I don’t understand why we are turning around to West Ham and saying give us £70 million and you can have Harry Maguire, Scott, McTominay and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, because that would be a good deal for both clubs in my humble opinion.
I genuinely think going as a trio together would make the decision easier for all three of them; firstly they get to stay in the prem and they would be starting with friends already in the squad.
I think people underestimate that loyalty here. Lille had his back for over ten years. He was raised at their academy. How would he feel if he left them on a free? Pretty shitty. Now, his club gets proper compensation...and he gets properly compensated (great salary). I think Madrid are getting a bit arrogant. "Oh everyone will wait and play for us." No. There are other motivations at work in the human psyche people.
Barca used the same tactic and took so many players on free transfers then sold them within months for 💯 profit by telling them they couldn’t register them and it was to help pay some of the money they owe banks

Give AWB a new contract
£15m is not enough for Wan Bissaka he is 1 of the best tacklers, he will suit other teams needs. The only reason he isn't wanted at United is because we want a RB that does more attacking.
I'm old fashioned, I think a fullbacks primary job is to defend. AWB is probably the best defensive fullback in the Premiership. To say he can't cross a ball or attack down the wing is silly, of course he can. It's easier to improve those aspects than to teach Dalot how to tackle.
you might be old fashioned, but top level teams are not, they all play with attacking and technical full backs, using old fashioned players will only allow a team to use old fashioned, figured out and obsolete tactics... AWB did train a lot of attacking drills last season, and while he improved a bit at first, he got stagnated in terms of progress.
@@Aeway100 I don't see it the same way you do.I feel that "modern" training of coaches and players has produced a game where all teams play the same style, leading to the boring game we now have to watch. You might say that the central concept of the modern game is "if we have the ball, they can't score".Training regimes are designed for athletes, not football players and I feel that is the cause of the massive injury problems United and pretty well every other Premiership team have battled with in the last 5 years or so. I was reading a review on one of the fan posts this morning, concerning one of the top level potential transferrees that United have been considering. The player , in the view of the poster, was well equipped but lacking in ball skills i.e. ball control---. but he could run!!

Can’t get rid of AWB unless we replace him. McTominay and Casimiro “should” go but if we sold all 3 and only bring in Urgarte that would leave us really short in depth. Always look to improve on your worst players

CB is a position where experience counts. At 18 I would expect Yoro will not be a first choice player for some time.
