In an ideal world, Oyedele is still here an is 2nd team DM, Collyer plays as 2nd team CM and is on par with Casemiro so gets game time dependent on the level of opponent, an I don't see Dan Gore as an option for DM or the senior squad at all but Fletcher could be a great shout at CAM. - We need Dalot solely focused on right back as the peak of his development stage is now. Mazraoui is a baller but won't last whole season so interchanging them 2 will make the difference. - The way that we're intending to play, I see Zirkzee as a CAM/SS more akin to Bruno's position than Hojlund. January we need to pick up a striker on loan or get in the fight for Osimhen at £60+ million. - Mount and Eriksen are basically spare parts at this point so fill the role of utility midfielders, and should really be 3rd/Injury cover for any of the midfield positions as I don't think their profile fits anywhere in the current setup. Hopefully we're going in the right direction now though, and I agree the defence is looking better an there is smarter business all around.
Definitely short of a left back, would like genuine goalscorer back up and another midfield no 6/ no 8 type player. Gore hopefully recovers from his shoulder operation and develops and becomes a first team squad player . Lindelof still 5/6 choice centre half.
Could Eriksen be consindered the back-up for Mount (so thrid choice at CAM)? He does not have the legs to be a pivot anymore but when he plays 10 for Denmark he still has it.
You forget a couple of players imo. Lindelof for the 3rd RCB. Malacia for the 3rd RB. (He can and has play there under ETH) Collyer is the backup for mainoo imo as we seen him higher up the pitch in Liverpool match. Casemiro is the backup for ugarte. (Imo Casemiro is ideal backup option behind Ugarter bcs they play similar role and being a mentor to ugarte. Imo if we wanna see the best of casemiro is when we play a weaker side or low block side. His passing is underrated and can help the team in goals in set plays situation) also mount can play the mainoo if mainoo gets injured and collyer isn't ready (hopefully not). Collyer need to improve his physical bcs his attributes will not shine if he do not have the physical the premier league required as we seen with amad. Not to mention Seko kone could come in too. Up front, my money on chino obi Martin rather than Wheatley and biancherri.
Goalkeepers - Onana, Bayindir, Heaton Defenders - Martinez, Yoro, De Ligt, Maguire, Lindelof, Evans, Shaw, Malacia, Amass, Dalot, Mazraoui Midfielders - Mainoo, Bruno, Mount, Casemiro, Ugarte, Collyer, Eriksen, Gore, Kone Forwards - Hojlund, Zirkzee, Rashford, Amad, Antony, Garnacho, Wheatley There's good strength in depth across the squad but I do think we need to add a new LB in January while next summer I can us going back in for Branthwaite as by then the likes of Evans, Lindelof & Maguire will all leave while we'll need to add to our midfield with Eriksen & Casemiro most likely leaving aswell. All in all providing everyone can stay fit we've got good quality & depth but we still need to add more depth in certain positions. Was never gonna happen all in one window but it's been a very good promising start from Ineos
We have alot of good going on. From top to bottom! But we need time to implement the structure, strategies, way to play. You cannot except all the new players to come in and play perfect together. We also have a few players that are not in shape or fit enough yet. I see a bright future, i really do. And i havent seen that in a long while. The new structure and owners will do EVERYTHING to make us successful and they will not give up untill we succeed. GGMU
Jack Fletcher, Sekou Kone and Ruben Curly are good shouts for the midfield. Ogunneye isn't talked about that much because of the reliability of Dalot, Mazraoui also is now a great signing for quality on the bench. I'm most excited about Jack Fletcher Ruben Curly, Toby Collyer and Sekou Kone.
@@Jomiloju-xw6wg It's obvious you can see it too. He had setbacks with injury. But I'm afraid if he gets to break out, there's a lot of competition in the central area. Anyway, Eriksen and Casemiro will be leaving soon.
tbh i would sell rashford or start garnacho over him cos as a united fan i don’t really like rashford he plays with no passion and amad and garnacho clear him
Eth got squad depth for the first time and people are chanting they want them to win premier league but those same people forget to remind themselves that they need to play together before they can work hand in hand together
It doesn’t matter what players you have if the manager hasn’t got a clue how to utilise their abilities and get results because that’s what it’s all about
if we get rabiot on athree year contract and had sterling this squad would have been the perfect mesh of experienced veterans onana , rabiot , rashford , casemiro , bruno , eriksen , evans , maguire ,lindelof , shaw , mazraoui and youngstars such as hojlund , zirkzee , yoro , ganarcho ,amad , anthony , obi chido , wheatley , de ligt , martinez , malacia , dalot ,fletcher , amas , coyller , mainoo ,mason ,and ugarte , this right here with the right manager and tactics is a squad talented enough to win anything , got veterans , "generational talents" , players with something to prove ,redemption arcs etc etc , if the right manager was handed this squad , they'd do wonders
Sterling is another Rashford. All pace and inconsistent end product. We need a proper winger to play on the other side of Garnacho. This will be something we address in future.
I must say this is a big improvement but in the same breath I'm also concerned about how we will compete with Villa, Spurs, Newcastle and Liverpool for those 3rd and 4th league positions.
Unpopular opinion: Altay Bayindir really needs to be given an opportunity to prove his worth... Also, EtH needs to learn in-game management-change a formation if the plan isn't working. He should've at least tried a 3-5-2 against Liverpool so we could've had numbers in the midfield.
In my opinion, ETH should consider playing 5 at the back, especially when Yoro comes back. That doesn't mean I want to see a defending MUN, absolutely not. But we all know the problem ( we have the same old problems), and as Slot said, we run more than last session at least. In addition, at the beginning of the session, the rumors of playing 3 at back or 5 were starting to appear, and I think we could be more balanced team as 3 at back. The problem of playing 3 or 5 at the back is that you either you kill the player behind the striker or the wingers, unfortunately for us, I don't see us having the best wingers at the moment ( especially when it comes to defending side) they might trak more but that's not enough. We all know the space between the defender and midfielder. And I think 3 at the back we will run less, not when it comes to defending no ( I mean when we build or attack) . Now, when we build there's to many transitions, in my opinion, and that makes the players more tired. I want to see us playing 3 at the back, not in every game some games that requires more organized team and maintaining the team shape ( when we face big teams and some other mid table teams away from home). So, the Starting 11 ( ONANA , LISA,YORO,DE Light, MINOO,UGARTE,BROUNO,HOJIUND, ( RASHY OR ZIRKZEE) Keep up with amazing content 🎉
Mostly agree. But I think Rashford should be backup to Garnacho, considering he hasn't really done anything good for more than a year. Also, I think Shaw should be the first choice LB and Malacia the second choice. If we have one of them fit, they should play ahead of Dalot, but obviously it looks like Dalot will have to play there quite a lot. Lastly, don't forget Lindelöf. I think he should be ahead of Evans and compete with Maguire to be the fourth choice CB. He is a little bit faster than both of them and speed is very important to be able to play with a higher line.
🤔 Sam just dropped some knowledge on the Casemiro - Ugarte conundrum, totally agree , makes sense. Rashford is not performing as bad as we being led to believe by the media.. no player in the premier league has created more big chances than Marcus so far . Garnacho is a good problem to have , he could push Amad or Marcus out of the starting 11.
I would say Garnacho instead of Rashford by miles. I believe most defenders know how to stop Rashford now. He had that great season where he was absolutely lethal in the box, full of confidence and trusting his abilities. This made other clubs pay more attention to him, and they worked out how to stop him. Unfortunately, Rashford doesn't seem to have a response in his locker. I guarantee, every premiership club are looking for ways to stop Haaland. I'm certain this is what has happened to Rashford. Also, for some reason he plays like he's scared to lose the ball so he won't take any risks or try to be creative. This is why I would choose Garnacho over Rashford. Also, I don't think we have a first team anymore. We just have a team of players with different strengths and different abilities. The line-up depends on who we are playing. I would put Mainoo next to Bruno. Go to a back three and move Dalot alongside Ugarte. Dalot is evolving as a player. He is creative, brave, consistent and usually the best player on the pitch. I think he will become a 6 and if Ugarte delivers, they could become a great partnership. like a modric and Casimero at Real Madrid.
With all due respect, we can sign 50 new players, we can completely overhaul this squad, sign Mbappe, sign Vinicius jnr... it does not matter, when your on field tactics are wrong. We have a thin squad, one or two key injuries and we're screwed. We cannot score goals because we dont know how to unlock defenses We cannot defend, because we leave miles of space open to opposing teams Our ability to play from the back is still far, FAR from being where it should be. We sign players, but we're lacking in tactics
How can you Pick a united team with rashford in the starting team?? It's Gernacho or Bruno.... I think Bruno should play cm with ugarte and play maino in the 10
He’s only not including him due to his injuries. I love him as a player, but his injury record now just makes it impossible to be going forward with him as the main left back.
Nothing against Mazraoui, looks decent player, but really wish we had signed Kadioglu (who has gone to Brighton for £25m). He can play LB, RB and even fill in at DM and AM, it seems more attacking and just as good defensively. Would have allowed Dalot to play at RB instead of being forced to play at LB until Shaw comes back (only to get injured again no doubt). So it's a window where we still haven't sorted out the back 4.
The midfield needs to be more compact and lower depth, they need to help out the defence while progressing the ball with forward passing. I think Mount is a more disciplined midfielder as compared to Bruno, I would want United to sign a player that’s like a younger Christian Eriksen next summer and another CDM that is tall and strong. I want to stay optimistic about the future.

I can't believe how much of an improvement from last season this is, hope tenhag keeps up expectations this season
Definitely short of a left back, would like genuine goalscorer back up and another midfield no 6/ no 8 type player. Gore hopefully recovers from his shoulder operation and develops and becomes a first team squad player . Lindelof still 5/6 choice centre half.
Spot on!
Could Eriksen be consindered the back-up for Mount (so thrid choice at CAM)? He does not have the legs to be a pivot anymore but when he plays 10 for Denmark he still has it.
Looks good. Great video Sam
Keep up the good work!
We need to sign a lb in January and a backup for mainoo won't mind if we can also get brandwithe 😅
Well happy with starting 11 and squad at last 🎉
I love how Sam's just forgotten Lindelöf!
Here we go Manchester united 🥰🥰🥰
😂😂😂😂
Great video, Sam💯
Up front, my money on chino obi Martin rather than Wheatley and biancherri.
great video!
I’m worried if and when maguire plays due to an injury. He’s not good enough for the system we want to play. Hopefully he’s gone next season
Sekou Kone has to be there mate!
Squad looks pretty decent. Come on!!!! We need a winning streak soon and build confidence!
Which manager should man utd sign if ten hag leaves Sam
While we can’t rely on Shaw, he plays when he’s fit
Your videos are slick pal!
The squad is good enough to win the Europa and be in the top 4. Smart signings in the jan transfer window might be crucial.
Deluded
Goalkeepers - Onana, Bayindir, Heaton
Defenders - Martinez, Yoro, De Ligt, Maguire, Lindelof, Evans, Shaw, Malacia, Amass, Dalot, Mazraoui
Midfielders - Mainoo, Bruno, Mount, Casemiro, Ugarte, Collyer, Eriksen, Gore, Kone
Forwards - Hojlund, Zirkzee, Rashford, Amad, Antony, Garnacho, Wheatley
There's good strength in depth across the squad but I do think we need to add a new LB in January while next summer I can us going back in for Branthwaite as by then the likes of Evans, Lindelof & Maguire will all leave while we'll need to add to our midfield with Eriksen & Casemiro most likely leaving aswell.
All in all providing everyone can stay fit we've got good quality & depth but we still need to add more depth in certain positions. Was never gonna happen all in one window but it's been a very good promising start from Ineos
No casemiro in the team ✅💯
Curly is so underrated, that kid is special, he's already developed physically, passes really well and chips in with goals too
@@Jomiloju-xw6wg It's obvious you can see it too. He had setbacks with injury. But I'm afraid if he gets to break out, there's a lot of competition in the central area. Anyway, Eriksen and Casemiro will be leaving soon.
Kone should be on that Gore position
tbh i would sell rashford or start garnacho over him cos as a united fan i don’t really like rashford he plays with no passion and amad and garnacho clear him
GGMU❤
I agree with you 💯 except I would start Garna over Rashford.
Mainoo is a teenager he should have bags of energy
Lindelof ia still an option I guess, I'd rather see him in DM than Casimero at least he's good with long balls
Can Casemiro do Box to Box 😮
Lindelof is an option at LeftBack.
Sekou Kone is an option in the midfield.
This is a fine squad but we still lose this is to show you that Manchester isn't just about the players or manager is about their mentality
This squad if remains fit is beyond capable to finish inside Top 4 & lift the Europa League title
😂😂😂😂
I’m disappointed we weren’t able to let go of lindelof, ik he’s injured but still
I must say this is a big improvement but in the same breath I'm also concerned about how we will compete with Villa, Spurs, Newcastle and Liverpool for those 3rd and 4th league positions.
So, the Starting 11 ( ONANA , LISA,YORO,DE Light, MINOO,UGARTE,BROUNO,HOJIUND, ( RASHY OR ZIRKZEE)
Keep up with amazing content 🎉
we been concerning for Rashford for 5 season now
Mostly agree.
Praying Kone is much further advanced than we have been told...
We cannot score goals because we dont know how to unlock defenses
We cannot defend, because we leave miles of space open to opposing teams
Our ability to play from the back is still far, FAR from being where it should be.
We sign players, but we're lacking in tactics
So true Ten hag has been tactically horrible and vert stubborn with his in game flexibility and adaptibility
How can you Pick a united team with rashford in the starting team?? It's Gernacho or Bruno.... I think Bruno should play cm with ugarte and play maino in the 10
Sam the same energy you have with Shaw u need to show towards Rashford....he doesn't get in our best 11 🤦🏾♂️
He’s only not including him due to his injuries.
I love him as a player, but his injury record now just makes it impossible to be going forward with him as the main left back.
How u prfere rash over grana plus on defense there is lindlof and i thought gore is leaving utd.pls do u research on detail
My friend Victor is a Man UTD player and a very important player... Stop undermining the first team players
The problem the broad and Eric might not have full control over players. I hope they make top 4 by the end of season.
You're forgot Sekhu Kone as option at position 6
Manu should play with a back 3 when Yoro is back
Nothing against Mazraoui, looks decent player, but really wish we had signed Kadioglu (who has gone to Brighton for £25m).
I want to stay optimistic about the future.
gutierrez for Shaw & malacia
branthwaite for Maguire & lindelof
Wharton for eriksen & casemiro
Simons for rashford
Bakayoko for antony
Kone colleyer amas as young players
Love people saying Arne is better than ten hag in 3 weeks nevermind 3 years. Arne has taken over a very strong Liverpool team built by Jurgen. Ten hag has taken over a very broken united team where the club was also at a very low point regarding ownership. The way ten hag has maintained confident in his own ability and not once used the players or owners as an excuse, hats off! People call him naive for comments to reporters, I call him confident. Trust the process and we will achieve, I believe so anyway.
Must the formation just stay as a 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 variant? Surely we have enough personnel for another formation
Scary thing is that not one of those except maybe Martinez will get into City or Liverpools starting 11. We are still 3 transfers windows away from them
Sam you forgot Lindelof 😂😂
Yoro and de ligt martinez in front. Let's just see how it works he is a warrior that can pass and play... love rash but time is up garnacho has to start
Bruno is the problem for me
Dalot ligt martinez shaw
Ugarte mainoo
Amad zirkzee garnacho
Hojlund
I think that team as better attack
It's all down to Rashford or Garnacho for the first eleven. Also Bayindr for first choice keeper.
Drop Rashy for Garny & put Amad on the right. Our team is very youthful & can grow together under Uno Bruno’s wings (double entendre).
I do still believe, man united will be better this season...
Rashford should join the Bundesliga, thats his level now.
Come on there is mantato who soon will come into the first team am telling you that will be our next Greenwood performance wise
You completely forgot about Lindelof using Kingdon in his place 😂
Great video though!👍🏼
ON paper that is not bad squad depth
Play a flat 3 in midfield, Bruno as an 8 and our midfield dont get overrun every time we lose the ball
We have the same front line as last year and we are complaining we aren’t scoring goals. Why aren’t we taking shot that
At the goalkeeper position,i really pity Bayindir because Ten hag hasn't given Him a chance
