- Today, we will show you how to create the most beautiful braid combo ever, two gorgeous hairstyle tutorials in one video! First, the Feather Waterfall Braid and, second, the Ladder Braid Combo.
For the Feather Waterfall Braid, I combined stitches using both a Lace Braid and a Feather Braid technique... the result is breathtaking!
For the Ladder Braid combo, I used the finished Feather Waterfall Braid and then created another Lace Braid below the original, pulling in the feather strands to create the rungs of the Ladder Braid.

I already knew the waterfall braid, so when I stumbled on this video (10 years???) I was amazed to see that there was another "level" to it: the ladder braid. Not only amazing to see that you can keep building on/evolving a braid (like a Pokémon), but that even an amazingly beautiful braid like this is still so delightfully simple once you break it down

I didn't get it either. She kinda just glossed over that.
It is called a feather braid, you drop a small piece from the right strand every time. It is actually much easier than it looks, I do it on my daughters all the time.

It is really similar to a waterfall braid. If you search on her site you can see how to do a waterfall braid. With the waterfall braid you drop the whole strand and pick up hair from underneath for the new strand. With the feather bread you just drop a piece of the strand and continue braid. I find the feather braid stays in my girl's hair better but they are very similar

Hi, my name is Lisa & I am a big fan of yours & have been for a long while now! I'm writing to ask if you have any suggestions for me. I'm in collage & taking a Speech Class, we have to give an Informative Speech in a week & I am going to bring my 14yr old daughter in (she's got very long thick hair..just like your daughter's) into class with me & do a demonstration on the waterfall/ladder braid. I am pretty nervous & just wanted to see if you had any tips for me. :)
I have to make sure when giving the speech/demo not to have any big pauses of silence while showing the making of the hair-doo.
