One tip everyone should know is to not use hair products or anything with oil. Oil breaks down plastic (including saran) so avoid anything with it. Idk if that serum is actually oil based but i’m surprised they haven’t mentioned😅 something i do with poly is boil wash, then use a flat iron on the worst parts, and boil wash again. I’ve had to do it many times for it to look pretty, but they get rerooted either way lmao

Good to know.... I am using sunflower oil to get rid of glue seepage, then I wash it off and it works a charm but maybe I should use the oxyclean method then.
I used hair oil with my clawdeen and it made it sm better

So, here was my method of fixing Gen3 Clawdeen's hair. First, I brushed out her knits with a similar pet brush as well as a wide tooth comb. Then, I shampooed and conditioned her hair using Function of Beauty products and rinsed them out. After that, I used a full pot of boiling water to boil wash her hair. Once it cooled a bit, I did another condition, brush out, and rinse. Then, I finished her off by putting some leaves in conditioner in her hair. After all this, her hair came out silky soft and you couldn't even tell her ends were fried. If you would like to see the results, I have a picture of how it looked from the back
I thought about leave in conditioner tbh!!!! Poly definitely just needs a lot of tlc but can look great! 🥰
@@ZombieXCorn I've tried both leave in conditioner as well as the anti-frizz oil you used. Personally, I prefer the conditioner because it feels less, for lack of a better word, oily. Also, the leave in conditioner I used had a strong scent which left the hair smelling like cotton candy. So, there's a plus lol

I know there's a lot of people who doesn't like the Clawdeen G3 style, but, I love it. It'snt fierce and wild like the G1 but, there's things that make her so cool , like her clothes and accesories, also the hair. Few months ago, my hair has those colors like Clawdeen.
This is important. I did wash my clawdeen and it felt much better, even trimmed the tips a bit to make the hair feel less dead 😵💫 but we are all learning and it's best to take care of dolls if we truly love them 🤩
I washed my Bratz rock angelz reproduction jade before I washed your hair it felt rly soft and I was thinking if I washed it if it would feel softer and I did and let me tell u somthing IT FEELS AMAZING LIKE AMAZING SILKY SMOOTH SILKY SOFT AMAZING

@@BratzFan730 oh yeah, she is at my desk right now fully completed and I watch her every day. I've been busy at work but also trying to work on my glued up little dead riding wolf doll since that doll was very glue. But yes I think boiling washing poly hair is what we have to do when we first get them
So what I did for all 3 of my clawdeens is I gave them the normal Doll hair wash that I usually do (dish detergent/hand soap, detangle with cheap conditioner) after I do that then why did a boil wash on her hair with conditioner still in it (I actually added a lil extra conditioner) and her hair feels so much softer afterwards like it’s kind of weird on how good it feels now at least that’s what worked on all of my clawdeens
This method also works amazingly on suran, I haven’t tried it on nylon yet

Poly definitely is a interesting hair type. It holds curls well, styles not really. Like most dolls with straight poly can do basic ponytails 🤣
Her hair came out so pretty! I can't wait to Gen3 Dolls..but in this inflation, momma gotta save her money..

Hey! I wanna say thank you for the tips!! I had a 1980’s Barbie with very dirty, crusty hair. I tried the freezing method and omg wow, it worked so well!! Ty! It’s works way better than the old method I used to use
I did use boiling water on my Clawdeen as well as the same curling merhod as you but without paper since I didn't have it ! Separating the curls change everything. I tried and it looks sooo much better on her.
I might separate my curls later especially since she’s getting a reroot x)

I have the sony a6400. It works great for vlogging and it does video and photo all really well! I’ve had it for about a year and i love it so much! The vlogging side of it lets you flip the display over to where you can see it even if the camera is facing you:) Apologies it’s not super cheap but the quality is well done! The new phones actually do a really good job on quality when comparing it to actual cameras. I feel the only reason you’d need an actual camera is if you were wanting to do more production stuff with the girlies:)

Tbh I thought you always recorded on a camera cuz the video quality was good, tbh the editing and camera quality is actually good. I wouldn't really use a camera if it's already good with a phonw

I was able to boil mine doing 10 seconds at a time. It didn’t actually do much, but it made it easier to braid.
I love this channel, and now I know what to do when I get the g3 Clawdeen doll. Excited for next week!!!!!!!!!

I would suggest buying some from a supermarket, if you're in the UK Tesco sells some. If not, you're screwed :)

A laptop would be better for storage. Even the most top of the line phone have limits. It will also make it easier to access older videos if needed.
Yeah because atm I have to delete any older footage to make room for new footage. I can’t even film in advance

I will say that i started customizing a toralei doll and the hair is so hard to take out. I had to cut her whole scalp off and really dig in the glue that held her hair to the doll. It almost looks waxy but its TOUGH i even cut her head into an x shape before i had to scalp her it was so tough. But i had modeling glue and reglued the x shut and now ima wait to glue her scalp to her head again so i can experiment and get a grasp on working with the newer dolls :,)

I have a G3 Clawdeen and I boiled washed her a few times, plus I also decided to curl her hair with straws and boiling water so during the process I tried not to put hair in boiling water too much but when I did her hair didn't completely DIE so that's a win✨💅
Mattel needs to stop using Poly for real. It's just not great even from a hairplay point of view like it's so bad and messy
I really need to attempt a boil wash on my creepover clawdeen... The only downside is that she'll lose the wavy look she has, which I actually don't mind all that much. Also lol @ 1:37 I'm probably one of the rare few.
I put shampoo and conditioner in mine along with boiling it a couple times and it still had wave!! You could always recurl it or crimp it on a low setting as well.
One dunk of a boil wash should leave the waves!

my experience with clawdeen’s poly and poly in general is you wanna get the water to boiling point then IMMEDIATELY dunk the hair trust me it works and helps a lot
I immediately gave my clawdeen a wash and boil wash her hair was insanely ratty even when i tried brushing her i was like yeahcno youre going for a wash i feel slightly better i might give her another wash and possibly a trim bc god her ends are more fried than mine have ever been in my years of dying my hair
Are the faces actually different? Because I saw a bunch of them side by side at Walmart and I could not find any difference other than their shirts. 🤷♀️
For someone with a more than half a million subscribers, you should definitely invest for a professional camera and laptop to edit with. I think it would improve your channel even more.

Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla Leave-In Conditioner worked on my clawdeen and lagoona… I absolutely hate poly and how it pulls out and breaks so easily …but luckily that spray made it like it was a better grade of hair fibers

Hii! So viperine has saran hair (which is on 90% of g1 of mh) it may be sticky due to the glue mattel used in the dolls head which is a battle of its own. But just use the same materials and steps in this vid and she should be good as new!

I have always filmed and edited on my phone it's cheaper and still good quality. I used the app video shop for years but I recently found a new app called rush and it is so much better and doesn't leave a watermark like video shop does. I have always been into making videos and every camera I have owned just dosn't compare to a cell phone quality-wise.
I've used foam rollers for recurling ly American Girl dolls. I haven't used the hair rollers you used in the video yet.
I have a problem with like any monster high i get because i carry all of them everywhere and draculauras headband bat is CHIPPING 😭 and clawdeens hair is a MESS because im scared to brush out her curls 😭😭😭😭😭😭 hellpppp (edit: the draculaura and clawdeen are new and i also have cleo shes ok and a old frankie fear leader and old howleen)
This is why I only carry Deuce around. Not only because he’s my favorite character, but because I don’t want to ruin Draculaura’s hair. I can just toss Deuce in my bag and not worry about him lol
My doll came, it’s hair was an inch longer than her whole body what rlly bothered me, was the entire bottom was a REAL rats nest, it didn’t absorb any product or water, not even boil washed, it so frilly and frayed, I honestly think it was like burned or it’s ends were put next to fire 😭, I ended up cutting off the damages and now I’m absolutely in love and I thank god abt the hair job I did cause I never cut hair 😭

Please help. I have a g3 Twyla, and her hair is so dry and frizzy. I did the washing with warm water, comb out the knots, did the shampoo and conditioner, rinsed it and combed it again, but the hair still looks dry and frizzy. Any tips?

it doesn’t have anything to do with the washing process, we just remove the hands to make the clothes easier to take off :)

My clawdeens hair was so bad 😭😭 it was dry, frizzy and extremely tangled. The ends were TERRIBLE as well.
