So, I saw a video where ren was showing a air pressure pod that he has to sleep in as part of his treatment. Him being suffocated against a grate is definetly how he feels every night when he goes to sleep. Gaia, Tartorus, and Elyseium are parts of Greek mythology that is essentially a version of earth, hell, and heaven. The different settings are him exploring those places, as he cannot decide which he is in. His lyme desiease, the music industry, and senseless hatred (the kkk) are manifestations of Tartorus. Him creating music for a living, experiencing the joys of life, and his community are manifestations of Elyseium. Him talking about morally ambigous things (Head debt collector, sword of demeclease) is all a manifestation of earth (Gaia). The sword of demaclease is a sword that gives its user incredible power, but it damages its user heavily. The 6 rens standing in a circle around one white ren is both a reference to the 7 sins, as well as a pentagram, which is completed when he kills himself at the end. A popular interpretation is that when he talks about deleting himself, he is not talking about actual suicide, but a reinvention of himself, letting go of the sick boi persona associated with his previous album. He is moving onto new things, and the slaughter house is a swan song of sorts for his sick boi persona. I see this video as a story of one ren being chased, and another ren chasing him. As an audience, we are lead to believe that the ren being chased is "good," and that he is being tortured within the slaughter house. The twist comes at the end, where we see that ren is the one who has killed himself. This recontextualizes the story so that the one chasing the ren is being tortured, chasing after an impossible goal which he has created in his own mind. I can't really say everything that I am thinking, but this is a glimpse into what I think the symbolism means. There is another video, called (SICK BOI ep 01 The flame of Prometheous) that gives us some more context for the setting that he is in.

Ren spend only a couple hours in the hyperbaric chamber each day to help his illness. It floods his body with oxygen.
