I highly appreciate you giving us a heads up about this, and I love that you acknowledge that students are busy with a million things too! I have been stressing out over the essays, and that makes me have less and less time for some of the passion projects I wanted to do this summer. UT Austin changing their short answer prompts does not help. Unfortunately, it is what it is.

Do you have an update on the acceptance letters going out from UT Austin? I know that the automatic admits have gotten answers back to their majors. But what about the rest of the public.
haha yea. i want to apply as a math major focused on pure math. There really arent many applications for it outside of niche research developments (which is what I want to do) so I have no idea how I'm going to "change the world" with it

For SA#4, would it be reasonable if you said that COVID actually impacted you positively in terms of academic performance because you adapted to the teaching format, and you're grateful that you didn't experience any serious negative effects? I don't want to minimize any serious issues other people have had, but I don't want to dramatize a "special circumstance" that doesn't exist.

You said during this video that UT Dallas already opened application on ApplyTexas but when I try to start a freshman application, ApplyTexas says that "This university does not currently have any semesters open for this type of application." Is anyone else having this problem?

I made a UTD app the other day and worked through until the end to see the essay topics. You should be able to select Fall 2022 as an option
@@UTAdmissionsGuy Hi. I'm trying to apply through this website for International Graduate, GoApplyTexas says that "This application type is not currently available for this college for this semester".
Honestly very disgraceful they decided to change the short answers this late. I tried to get ahead and wrote all of last years. Even then the new prompts are terrible
Email or call the office of admissions and share your experience. I have no doubt many thousands of students have already drafted some or all of their short answers. I just really hope they don't change Essay A.
