Ohhh sweet, I suggested Samus Aran because I don’t think her story was every done justice, mostly because the Chozo are so mysterious. So I consider this a spiritual answer to my suggestion. :)
More elderly means the young have to devote a larger and larger share of the product of their labor to sustain pensions and welfare. If the cost of life increase too much, the young won't have enough time and money to raise childrens. Take a quick look at Japan, Europe and Canada. Advanced industrial economies have reproduction rates well under replacement levels (2.1 per women). There is also a cultural phenomenon associated with lower birth rate, in the West, the ''normal'' if I can put it in such a crude way is to have one or two childrens. Work and career seems to have a higher cultural priority than having large families. Immigration is the only thing keeping population growing otherwise it would shrink like in Japan. So it seems the curse of advancement in technology and industry is lower birth rates. Chozo dying out by population decline makes perfect sense in economic terms.
1:18 Holy smoke! And the tech on that cannon was already a century old! I don’t even want to think what an updated contemporary cannon could do. If this were the Star Wars galaxy, the Galactic Empire would automatically turn around and run if they saw that happen to one of their Star Destroyers.
Best explanation so far. Other videos I saw wasn’t as detailed explaining samus blood, the connection of the chozo, mother brain, metroids the x parasites and the phason
on the subject of extending their longevity, they probably figured out how to harden their chromosomes, which may have softened them in other places like the longevity of would-be vestigial parts to an advanced species, like wings. maybe even some organs or neurons
I'm no sure if heir "disappearance" is canon. We know what happened to the home planet civilization that raised Samus - they were destroyed by the Space Pirates and the rebellious Mother Brain (with maybe the exception of Samus' parent figure, Old Bird). At that point we can assume they are they are he only known remaining Chozo colony, with splinter groups already died out.
No we didn't, we just did a bad job of differentiating. Totally our bad. We meant to be clear in saying that they were on different planets. Obviously we weren't clear enough in our differentiation. We meant that the Chozo from Zebes made both the Mother Brain, and the Metroids, but you are correct, the Metroids were deployed on SR388.
This was super informative! Thanks for making this. Working on a big Metroid fan film so this was super helpful.

Alert! Alert! The chozo species is still alive!

You guys really explained this well for a person who's new to the lore! I'd love to see you do a video on Drakengard or the Tauren from WOW.

You should make an update to this video with the new information we got from metroid dread
Sadly not gonna happen, 2 years ago they quit UA-cam, so no more TM&M videos period

so this chick is a Jedi with laser arm canon
Imagine if Tony Stark or Princess Shuri met the Chozo.
TMaM: "Where might the Chozo be? Hmmm..."
Metroid Dread: "haha lore go brrrrrrrrr"
Do one about Ridley from Metroid
This video was VERY well done! Great job guys!
Cool presentation.😎👍🏾
Awesome video

What does Halo, Jak and Daxter, Warhammer 40k, Metroid, etc all have in common?
Why wouldn't they just clone more chozo?
Credit where it's due the Metroids did a great job.( Also RE3 remake Jill or Augus from Asuras Wrath lore would be cool)
15:10 this looks a lot like Raven Beak from Dread. He plays a big part in all of this lore.
This video was made before Dread was announced and Raven Beak made a appearance in samus return has a chozo memory telling events before the game.
I used to think those statues were ridley statue's
I think you guys merged 2 different planets. Mother Brain is on Zebes. The Metroids are on SR388

If i may request something, i would like to see the Story of Sly Cooper told by you.
Where are the pictures from?
All over the place? You'd have to point out one specifically for us to even try to remember, sorry.
Metroid is the most underrated game in history
3:46 Except the birth rates are still falling here in the west.
Do a samus aran video please or a mass effect video.
C'mooooon show me some of that sweet sweet crysis lorrrrre gimmie that ceph lore!!
Mayhaps the forerunners in halo?
Deus ex might make for a good video. But don't do it for a bit, I have to beat the sequel first!
