@MilkANDMagic I would take uncharted 5 over a reboot of the franchise or over a remake of any of the previous. It's a game. There are so many shenanigans Nathan Drake could still get in. Just because it wrapped up nicely doesn't mean there isn't potential. I would be more than happy to jump into a new adventure with Nathan Drake, Sully, and the likes.
Nathan was in his 50s in Epilogue of Uncharted 4. Unfortunately he isn't coming back but being sad won't fix it. Our only hope is that we get a game where Cassie is the main character with her friends.

Pretty sure if you played Uncharted 4 you’d see that the story is perfectly wrapped up. Yea they left an ‘opening’ with the daughter angle, but that wouldn’t truly be ‘Uncharted.’ It would be what ‘Madame Web’ or ‘She-Hulk’ is to the Marvel universe… a property that holds the brand name and attempts quick PR cash grabs. There will never be another perfection like the Nathan Drake Uncharted series. No need to reinvent perfection.
Still it would be great to have Cassie take it forward with all the references to the other characters we did get some great characters that didn't get the spotlight

They ended drakes story but there is no reason a new Generation of Uncharted wouldn't be amazing. especially if it was rooted in the same world. It would be a smashing success

Uncharted as a series has done so good utilising the best of the resources available & this makes me wish to see further development of the Uncharted series tackling new challanges while using the latest developments in technology as it has done before. No game comes close to how The Uncharted is by the way it makes you feel connected & awestruck so it deserves to have continuous development at a steady pace to keep the spirit of this series alive. I've seen RDR, GTA, etc but there is nothing that touches you as deeply as Uncharted series. Please revive this series for the sake of humanity 🙏

And they were nice enough to expand what was originally an dlc into a bigger scale title with uncharted the lost legacy. Beside this series is very old already and it started in the ps3 days. You know I’m not a fan (these days) of playing female “girl boss” characters, since I’d rather they be quick / cunning / smart to ‘overpower’ men. That said, a spin-off series of uncharted featuring the “explorer” lady from U4 (boss lady of Nate & Sam’s mom) would be DOPE. If y’all remember walking through her museum house in U4, the potential for stories & tales with her are seemingly endless ~
Hopefully not happening or far away if it is. U4 wrapped up the story nicely. Even if a whole new cast was introduced what will we see with gameplay? More getting chased by Armored vehicles, getting on a truck and using the turret to blow up the other trucks chasing you, running across a bridge that collapses from the enemies shooting at you, climbing a buncha walls and cliffs, etc etc. Some series should end. There's no need for them all to keep running on and on. Let's see more new series be born

Now if you can take the Uncharted style gameplay and make something different like a cyberpunk or whatever hi tech futuristic setting I'd be down for that. Maybe a fantasy medieval setting. I prefer seeing developers branch out and try to come up with different ideas than doing the same shit over and over
I wanted an Uncharted origins, it would be long before the events of the previous games, with Sully being younger and Nathan being a teenager, just like the beginning of Uncharted 3, but with much better graphics and gameplay but the story would have a deeper focus on the past of Sully, he would be the main protagonist while the teenage Nathan would be the partner and we could control him at times too. If they don't do that, they could do the story with Sam and Sully too, until the end of Uncharted 4 hinted that they would be partners now. Nathan's daughter doesn't have enough charisma to be the new protagonist now, they should focus on the franchise's secondary characters first.

Do we really need a fifth Uncharted game? A Thief's End had such a beautiful ending, and The Lost Legacy redeemed Nadine Ross' character, so why not leave it there? Perhaps instead, Naughty Dog could put their time and money into developing Crash Bandicoot 4 and/ or Jak and Daxter 4

If they create a new character, it will always be compared with Nate.. and if it tries to hard to be like him it will be annoying and uninspired… And if it’s completely different from him, what the essence of Uncharted is will be lost, since he is very iconic, and people would just prefer to have it under a different name. How can they top the setpieces so that they don’t feel like straight copies or trying to compete with the other Uncharted games? How can they top a character like Nate who was developed for 4 games and try to develop a new character in only one game and make him/her likeable. There are many issues that occur when you try to make new things in an existing IP, you have to make an exceptionally good game with a really good character than can be as likeable as the one that came before and make their adventures unique enough to not seem like a wannabe of the previous games. So at this point, it would just be easier to create a new IP.

You know what I greatly dislike? All the people who say that they should just leave the series on a high note and not make any more Uncharted. You are just mirroring the opinion of Neil Druckman. Hopefully not happening or far away if it is. U4 wrapped up the story nicely. Even if a whole new cast was introduced what will we see with gameplay? More getting chased by Armored vehicles, getting on a truck and using the turret to blow up the other trucks chasing you, running across a bridge that collapses from the enemies shooting at you, climbing a buncha walls and cliffs, etc etc.
Some series should end. There's no need for them all to keep running on and on. Let's see more new series be born

Now if you can take the Uncharted style gameplay and make something different like a cyberpunk or whatever hi tech futuristic setting I'd be down for that. Maybe a fantasy medieval setting. But if it's gonna be the same as the other games with the same kinds of weapons, time period, set pieces, etc then nah. I prefer seeing developers branch out and try to come up with different ideas than doing the same shit over and over

I can't believe I have only just started playing these games. I just got the remastered versions, and I am loving it
I wanted an Uncharted origins, it would be long before the events of the previous games, with Sully being younger and Nathan being a teenager, just like the beginning of Uncharted 3, but with much better graphics and gameplay but the story would have a deeper focus on the past of Sully, he would be the main protagonist while the teenage Nathan would be the partner and we could control him at times too.
If they don't do that, they could do the story with Sam and Sully too, until the end of Uncharted 4 hinted that they would be partners now. Nathan's daughter doesn't have enough charisma to be the new protagonist now, they should focus on the franchise's secondary characters first.
The Last of Us 1 is Uncharted 5. Drake got older and changed his Name to Joel Miller

Do we really need a fifth Uncharted game? A Thief's End had such a beautiful ending, and The Lost Legacy redeemed Nadine Ross' character, so why not leave it there? Perhaps instead, Naughty Dog could put their time and money into developing Crash Bandicoot 4 and/ or Jak and Daxter 4

They’ve never confirmed an uncharted 5, which is a shame cause they’re all excellent, just because Nathan’s story has come to en end doesn’t mean the franchise can’t continue, they can follow Chloe from here on out, lost legacy did a great job of transitioning to Chloe from Nathan.

And if it’s completely different from him, what the essence of Uncharted is will be lost, since he is very iconic, and people would just prefer to have it under a different name.
How can they top the setpieces so that they don’t feel like straight copies or trying to compete with the other Uncharted games? How can they top a character like Nate who was developed for 4 games and try to develop a new character in only one game and make him/her likeable.
There are many issues that occur when you try to make new things in an existing IP, you have to make an exceptionally good game with a really good character than can be as likeable as the one that came before and make their adventures unique enough to not seem like a wannabe of the previous games.
So at this point, it would just be easier to create a new IP.

Spoiler: Nate gets his head smashed in by a "strong female" character, spit on by a Mexican... Then you play the second half of the game as one of the dogs you murdered in the first half of the game.
I think naughtdog are just scared to make another. All games are perfect and they don’t want to ruin anything.
You know what I greatly dislike? All the people who say that they should just leave the series on a high note and not make any more Uncharted. You are just mirroring the opinion of Neil Druckman. You have Call of Duty #37. You have Assassins' Creed 19. We have FarCry 12 haha! Nathan Drakes story may be over and they wrapped that beautifully however continuing uncharted with other characters in the same universe is completely OK. Uncharted doesn't need to end just because Nathan's story is over. Its a treasure hunting / historical adventure game. I want to see Cassie come into her own as a treasure hunter and move Uncharted into a new generation. Naughty Dog's involvement is critical to the success of the game. It cannot be handed off to Bend studios or it would be a cheap copy. I dont want to be 50 years old by the time they decide to make anther one. I've been waiting for a decade.
