I have a really old (20 yrs) sony cassette deck with the old red and white plugs as connectors. Can I connect it to my cmt-sbt100 as an amplifier as you did? How would I do it? Thanks.
Fergus Smith yes! You just need an rca audio cable ( female RCA to male 3.5 headphone plug) connect the rca to the “out” jacks of the deck and the plug to the aux in of the system, and that’s it, you’re gonna hear the sound coming out of the aux function
I have one of this I paid on ebay $83 like new condition to me looks brand new I have it now for one year sounds good I seen at target store the same stereo for $199.99 no way I wouldn't pay that $83 is good for me I'm happy with it
DjKn1ght I know! All this mini stereos were pretty expensive when they came out! I still have my jvc home stereo from the 90’s and that thing sounds like a dream, I will make a video soon!
yes you can via aux in, if it's a vintage turntable you need a pre-amp, if it a current turntable you also need a pre-amp but some newer turntables have built in pre-amp so check your turntable for that
this mini system has a good sound, but nothing to write home about, If you want music on the background while you work or something like that is ok, but if you really wanna enjoy music and shake the room with it this is not the system for you. for a mini system I would go for a black 90's made in Japan or even better if you can find a complete silver face 80's. most of them need light fixing up but is worth it.
I didn't get to test that when I had it, but to be on the safe side I would use 2 or 4 gb USB drives or you can actually use a 20 or even 40 gb but I wouldn't put more than 4 gb of music, otherwise you will overload the stereo with music and it won't play anything
H! that's a good question! I don't think you can thou, because the built in bluetooth was built for smart phones only, to receive a bluetooth signal, but not to release a bluetooth signal, that's why it has a headphone jack, the only way you can actually do it, (if your goal is to get rid of the headphones cable) you can get one of those wireless headphones that come with a stand/receiver and hook up the receiver part to the front headphone jack, that could work, hope this helps! THANKS!
@@grumpyandroid sorry to bother you again. i have seen on certain sites that the CMT-SBT100 is not compatible with 3rd party BT transmitters. Do you or any of your readers know of anyone that has tried successfully? thank you.
@@pinotgrigio8987 it's probably not compatible because it already has the built in bluetooth, and it was just meant to receive the bluetooth signal from a phone, or tablet so you can play the music through the system
I use one of these as an amplifier for a cassette deck and it works beautifully that way
that's awesome! and that way you got everything, radio, cd player, cassette player, line in and bluetooth!

@@fergussmith9530 all I did was buy an RCA to Aux cable and plugged it into the aux jack. My preferred brand is Hosa.

My phone can't scan bluetooth of the same audio system. How can I do that?
You spelled Home wrong.
Can you connect a turn table to this by cable or just Bluetooth?

I’ve been looking all over the place and I cannot find how much bass it can handle. Do you by chance know?
I don't know the specs, but the bass was just normal, average, I don't recommend this system, if you like hip hop, rap or any heavy bass music
Hello DAB + ?
