Always loop the straps around the forks between the top & bottom triple clamp.
Congrats on the new WRs the new ones are pretty awesome.

I also recommend tying the straps around the bottom of the triple clamps, (what holds the forks in place)

The bark busters they come with are cheap, mine broke first ride after I jammed the breaks when a roo jumped out infront of me and binned it!
I still like them better though, be careful with wrap arounds I’ve heard of many many cases where your hand slips off the grip when you crash and goes in the middle of the grip and bark buster and snaps your wrist.
From my time working at Peter stevens in the workshop all the mechanics highly recommended to definitely not get wrap arounds for that exact reason. I think they look better and give a more comfortable feeling but I’d rather a slightly different look than a broken wrist 🤘

I wear the Alpinestar shorty gloves with the carbon fiber knuckle.
I do this because I have hit many trees and have had the open end bars jammed into my ribs and break a few... twice...
*I wear a chest protector these days. The closed end definitely distributes the impact..and as my knuckles slammed the front of the guards. at least I have some protection there as well.
      Cheers
      Happy trails

How did you find the seats, are they comfortable enough?

They are pretty good, I think a comfort seat would be a better option for loooong rides but still I did 103km hard bush with rocks etc (very bumpy with no sore ass
