From the Honky Tonk Man to his exit from the company, we cover all of the "rumor and innuendo" in the danger zone! This episode is too hot to handle and too cold to hold! Snap into it!

You the real MVP
The story at 1:08:49 had me in tears. "What's wrong with spandex and Cowboy boots bitch!!??". 😂😂😂
I came back just for this story. 🤣
I'm stealing that line.
"Buy her a beer, that one's from the Macho Man!"
Conrad and Bruce have great chemistry, love these interviews gents
Having listened to literally EVERY episode with you and Bruce, Conrad this is my favourite great retrospective on Macho Man's WWF career.
I'm struggling keeping up with what episodes I've listened to and what ones I havent. Gonna have to make a spread sheet!
Just click like or dislike brother.
Rick Rude’s, Vader and Sids podcast are great. Macho Mans is the best.
Man I CAN NOT BELIEVE I been missing out on this show. This shit takes me back to a kid. Ty TY TY TY
Holy shit! 4 hours about the Macho Man. I'm gonna have to listen to this one in sessions lol.
That story does make sense on a surface level. Warrior held up Vince for money right before a major PPV, he was let back in. Hogan and Vince had a major falling out, he was let back in. Hall and Nash left the company and went to WCW and almost put the WWE out of business, they were let back in. Bret Hart literally spit in Vinces face and knocked him out, he was let back in. Austin walked out of the company, he was let back in. Hell, Vince even hired Eric Bischof . So for Vince to be that mad at Savage for going somewhere because he wanted to wrestle? Doesn't make any sense . So this does add up
Always liked Savage far more than Hogan.
sure
Hands down
1000%
Savage was a way better worker
Randy was and always will forever be better than Hogan
First Name MACHO Last Name MAN, MACHO MAN
Beat me to it lol
DIG IT!?!
It needs to be a shirt for sure, dig it uh huh
I've been listening since Day 1 of the show and gotta say this Macho Man episode still stands out as their best!
Ooooh yeah! Dig it!
Randy's brother is gay as f***
"Make sure it's on her hip!!!"
"I gotcha brother!!!"
when bruce does his dusty - omg LOL
Yes
Bruce does the best impressions.
Randy Savage was the GOAT!
i want an Iron Mike Sharpe biopic fuck the big budget hulkster one.
Why Vince McMahon held a grudge against Macho Man is that $750,000 Slim Jim sponsor would be a reason why McMahon was pissed! (Eric Bischoff said) Does anyone remember Diesel or Bam Bam in 1995 doing the Slim Jim commercials? Not so good... Macho Man had the WCW brand endorsements covered with Slim Jim and nailed out of the park. So it was big money that WWF could of used, also their deal first with Warrior (next) then Macho and for the win! And Macho leaves and literally gone south! Who wouldn't be angry???
Randys hair is what made him, it would fly all over the place when he would get hit and it looked crazy after a match.
Holy shit! 1:09:50 to 1:11 absolute gold from Bruce.
I WAS PUMPING OFF FURIOUSLY TO TEXAS TORNADOS HARD ASS IN TIGHTS TO THE RAMPAGE 1992 VHS , AND I WASN'T STOPPING UNTIL I HIT THE MOTHER LOAD, THE EL GRANDE PAYLOAD, THE LAUNCH CODE, A HOT ROPE SHOT DIRECTLY INTO A TUBE SOCK, THAT I STUFF TO THE BOTTOM OF THE HAMPER OR TO THE BACK OF MY CLOSET IN THE HOPES OF IT SIMPLY DISAPPEARING, BUT WE ALL KNOW IT DOESN'T DISAPPEAR, IT SITS THERE LIKE GLOWING BIOHAZARD JUST WAITING TO BE DISCOVERED AND TO EXPOSE MY WICKED WAYS AND GUILT OF SNAPPING OFF MY SEEDS, A ONCE COTTON SOCK TURNED PRACTICALLY INTO PLASTIC FROM ALL OF MY CARNAL ENDEAVORS, IT'S LITERALLY LIKE PLASTIC BOOMERANG TOY, I AM SO FUCKING PATHETIC I NEED A CHANGE IN MY LIFE I NEED TO MOVE OUT OF MY MOMS I'M 36 AND UNEMPLOYED
No your trying to get someone to trade insults with you & get some attention in a very strange, devoid of humor type of way. Good luck with that. It's good you still live with your family though.
That made me spit out my water at work listening to this part!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Macho Man is one of my all time favorite wrestlers. However, it’s hard to not believe the rumors about he and Stephanie. What else could have possibly happened between he and Vince for him to have never been welcomed back to the WWF? The fact that Vince would just go quiet when asked about it by Bruce is pretty damning.
My favorite pro wrestler of all time, the macho Man Randy Savage. This was so incredibly interesting to listen to, all the insight, and stories. Very good.
"Elizabeth.... Down That Aisle"
The universal disrespect virgil gets from pretty much everyone is both sad and hilarious
I love Bruces MM impression what most dont know is it wasnt a gimmick he lived that character 24/7
The tree he crashed into was on Park boulevard in Seminole Florida. across the street from Publix. I lived in the neighborhood less than a quarter mile away. It would take me 30 seconds to hop in my car drive down the street make a right and I was on the street in view of where he crashed. I was also in fire academy at the time and had finished EMT school and one of my buddies was a firefighter at the station that responded. I immediately called him and bitched him out for not saving the macho Man haha he wasn't working that day but he said that if I remember correctly, macho Man didn't have a rhythm that was shockable. There are certain heart attacks that do not allow for shocks to bring them back. I used to drive by the tree every single day. I moved away when I got out of school but when I'm down in that area visiting friends and family a couple times a year I still see the tree. My Street was one Street in from Park. I could go in my backyard and look over the fence and see Park boulevard. It was so close where he died. There was a nice monument with a bunch of flowers and everything and as time went on there would be less and less but occasionally you would see people bring new stuff. There was a lot of sadness that day. I started wrestling in 2006 and I wrestled while I was in EMT and fire academy. I was only eighteen when I started wrestling and now I'm 31 and I helped teach at a school but my neck is a mess so I only do about 6 or 7 matches a year but I always love loved watching macho Man. And one of my good friends in wrestling had a shirt that had the macho Man sunglasses on with his wrestling name and he used to wear stuff that was very similar to macho man but not the same. He made it his own. But he would do the move that Randy did where he grabs the guy by the head and runs and jumps over the rope to the floor while holding the guy's head doing a hangman. My buddy's name was Wayne and he died of a heart attack in 2017 in the ring. his wrestling name was Wayne Van Dyke and or Richard delicious. You could actually probably look up online and see. He was a great person and loved the macho Man and we did a tribute show that I ran and organized in Seminole Florida. only about two miles down the road from the macho Man's death. It's crazy how life works sometimes.
Wrestler's complain about Savage scripting matches but I don't hear fan's complaining?
You wanna know my name ? Look at my boots
That story around 1:26:00 in with Bruce trying to sell Randy on Sherri slapping Liz and Strongbow Sabotages the pitch was gold. His impression of Chief Jay 😂 “Yea uhhh Caeser wants Sherri to slap the shit out of Liz” like the worst thing he could say and exactly what Vince didn’t want to happen.
That thumbnail pic looks like John Cena dressed like the Macho Man.😂
It's such a shame that in WWF and then WCW Savage had always to live in Hogan's shadow, when to me, Macho Man was 10x the wrestler and character Hogan could only dream to be, it was just the timing to be wrong because first Hulkamania and then the NWO took all the attention away from Savage's rise
But think if it wasn't for savage , Hulkamania could have died ... Randy helped build Hulkamania and that's pretty cool
I don't know why they had Savage join NWO without saying he was forced. I think it was mentioned slightly fast. But remember the finger poke of doom. I think if they didn't get hit with all those injures we might have had the proper end to the NWO. Sting and Savage weren't there. I wonder how it would have played out. Savage was one the hottest acts in wrestling in 97-98.
"CUP OF COFFEE IN THE BIG TIME YEAH"
savage is one of my all time favorite wrestlers.
lanny poffo explained why savage was blackballed. it went both ways. savage held grudges. he never forgave vince for the nacho man skits and the innuendo implied in them.
vince was mad because macho left without notice. vince doesnt mind if you leave as long as you let him know well in advance. macho, luger, and rick rude all left without informing vince beforehand.
There's an interview with Macho on here from 2000 he's got a red shirt on and a hat on backward's where he says he wasn't offended at all by the Nacho Man gimmick. He said it caused no friction and when somebody made fun of him it just meant he was important.
Yea thank you! He loved & woulda been offended if he wasn't in them. His father not going into a royal rumble type match for legends was a big problem with him.
@@skincarver1797 You're right, I've seen that shoot interview. I think it might have been a case of Macho not wanting to lose face by admitting publicly he hated those skits, though, but I guess we'll never know for sure.
SkinCarver Savage actually said in that interview that he actually would have been more offended had he NOT been parodied in those segments because it would mean that Vince forgot about him.
I think Bruce Pritchard should record an album with him singing show tunes while doing Macho Man's voice.
No T in Prichard.
3:45:40 The Movie is actually "Mr. Saturday Night" 1992
My favorite of ALL time macho man one of a kind opposition yeah !!! Dig it!!!
Haha Conrad always says Brutus the FUCKING barber... LOL
2 things i can clarify just because i recently watched these two interviews recently,
1) In an interview with Jake Roberts, he said that a day or two before the match with him and Randy Savage after the wedding with the Cobra biting Randy, Roberts and Randy both planned out that spot in the match with the snake biting Savage but before Randy agreed to doing that spot, he wanted to have the snake bite Jake first and prove to him that it was really devenomized before he did it on live tv lol. Jake didn't wanna do it at first but eventually he did but it hurt like son of a gun lol, so the day of the match, Jake decided to rib Randy by kicking the snake in the bag and pissing the it off before it bit Randy so it would be way worse for Randy than it was for Jake since Randy made Jake get bit by the snake first lol.
2) I listened to an interview with Lanny Poffo recently where he actually did say and confirm that Randy Savage didn't wanna be in the Hall of Fame unless his whole family could be inducted with him. Even though he wasn't for sure about what he said, it was a true statement from Bruce when he mentioned that part in the podcast..
Just throwing out these facts for everyone incase they were wondering! Thanks for this great episode Conrad and Bruce! Macho Man was one of my all time favorites growing up. He will always be remembered as one of the GOAT in pro wrestling, RIP Randy "Macho Man" Savage 🤘
1:30:35 Thts comedy lmfao 🤣
Savage got in them guts Bruce...search your feelings , you know it to be true 😭😂✌🏻️
Evil Banjos does fantasizing about the fact that other people have had sexual make you feel like you have as well or is it strictly jerk off material!?
Macho man is my favorite of the old guys and the end of this had me in tears.... the GOAT
Actually, Bruce was correct regarding the Ripley's Believe It or Not story...they used to have these collage type of drawings with various facts underneath each one, and Angelo Poffo was indeed part of one for the amount of sit-ups he had done.
Jake the Snake, Macho Man, Undertaker and the Ultimate Warrior are the 4 pillars
What's wrong with spandex and cowboy boots b*tch? Pure Gold! (Start at 1:06:01 thru 1:11:ish)
NYGiants5680 Bruce’s voice sounds so much like Randy’s it’s insane
Agreed 100%. Funny as can be!
TheDieHardWWEAddict “Thanx Pal”
What’s Jay Lethal doing on Bruce’s podcast?
“That’s my line!!!”
*UH HUH!!!!*
Bruce does an awesome Randy Savage impression lol
Same with Vince and others.
07:31
ashutosh pax thanks buddy!
Thanks
thank you
Thanks bro
👍
My absolute favorite show on UA-cam!
"FREAK OUT ! FREAK OUT!!"
i forgot all about that and the confetti
The shower part of this show is the funniest thing I've ever heard on this podcast.
Gonna wash the macho back. Gonna wash the macho hair. Uh huh!
There has never been or never will be a person who gets into their character more than Randy Savage!
Wow his impressions are amazing, hot dang!
Yeah, they really are! I especially love his Brother Love impression...he sounds EXACTLY like that guy! Lol
Funny how after Bruce tells the story about Terry Taylor, at around 1:40:00, Conrad almost immediately begins to call him the Red 'fucking' Rooster lol!
Steamboat said in an interview "Randy says to me while we 'planned the match' Hogan-Andre maybe me main eventing, but were going to steal the show"
Yeah I've heard it 1000 times myself, and it's 1000% true, they did! Watching 3 as it happened, that was the match my cousin and I couldn't stop talking about. In the years since I've used 3 to compare wrestling generations. The 2 things still talked about outside of attendance, was the savage steamboat and Andre being slammed. Wrestling fans long for the storytelling of savage steamboat, flair was king of those in the day before he became the woooo. We get these once in a blue moon. The Andre slam, the only real big spot of the match, is wrestling today as a whole. All spots no story. But least even then those 2 told a story somewhat. The back story leading to the match built that match. And really I just summed up today's wrestling: all spots, no story.
Oh my god guy I also have heard this story! Are there any three fans smarter than us? We seem to know everything about everything huh, guys!? Right!? High fives.
Bonesaw mcgraw
Saturday nights main event use to be cool
Bruce's Macho and Dusty's impersonations are hilarious. So on point.
Yes, his Stu and Jerry Jarrett are the best to me though. He cracks me up.
Can you guys add the towel and baseball story as a standalone on your page? It's the best!
I love the Vince-isms from Bruce.
"Babyface team's gotta win Pal!"
Greatest match ever
👇
"Macho Man" Randy Savage
vs
Ricky "the Dragon" Steamboat
Oooh yeah!!! Snap into a slim Jim !!! They have came out with new Macho Man slim Jim holders and I want one
I met Bushwacker Luke about 4 years ago and I asked him what Randy Savage sounded like when he wasn't on. He told me he started talking that way in 1983 and never stopped.
Peter wow we haven’t heard that story before....🙄
BONESAW IS RREADDY!
History beckons the Macho Man yeah! Great podcasts and much love from Denmark :-D
“FREAK OUT FREAK OUT, UHH HUH!”
I feel like if I spoke like Mach I’d have a heart attack too.
1:07:40 just makes laugh til I cry
1:10:05 what wrong with spandex and cowboy boots bitch. Dying over here
Some people say Savage sold out and went all commercial to support his Slim Jim habit. Slim Jim abuse was far too common among professional athletes at the time.....
Also 2:45:00 through about 3:30:00 mark
I love the commentary on being a veteran and teaching the young ins lol
Thanks again for this episode
Savage was one of the best, Jake the Snake was the best, Macho Man close second.
Do a show about his rap album.
the guy that made his gear did an interview on the Randy Savage story DVD the WWE did after Macho passed away
LOL! His Vince impression the best.
I wonder who has the macho Man outfits now. How much would they sell for?
Beefcake was over huge???? When I was a kid they were calling him the beefburger guy ha
I think Vince had a grudge with Randy because Randy left out of nowhere, and was much more in the office, Vince probably thought he could count on Randy.
Savage was one of my all time favorite wrestlers. I was born in 89 so I seen him at the tale end of his career in wcw.
I laughed way too hard at this 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣
Shoutout to Dan Soder's Macho Man impression at a little after 57:17. Crackle crackle campers!
At 3:45:40 the movie he references is actually Mr. Saturday Night, not The Kings of Comedy
There was also Maple Leaf Wrestling up in Toronto Ontario
*Hogan tapped Liz*
Savage was in the 91 Rumble?! I missed that!!!
This one of the funniest episodes I’ve ever heard! “What’s wrong with spandex and cowboy boots bitch!? Sensational Sheri assaulted with a ziplock bag of mayonnaise 😂😂😂😂😂 when Bruce was Actually “There” his stories are Funny AF
1:20:00 just bookmarking for myself
Awesome listing to this macho man was one of the greatest of all time thanks for this episode Bruce and Conrad
Macho Madness lives on forever.
Ohhhhhhhh Yeah !
So when you're doing these podcasts, how hard is it for you Conrad in not to break out laughing after the impressions Bruce does?!
WASH THE MACHO BACK OOOHHH YEAH
A germaphobe who makes his living rolling around with sweaty men... hmmmm interesting choice.
LA Knight looks old and He's almost 41 and just now getting over like nobody else I've seen in a while..Macho Man was BETTER than He'll ever be ever..
All man! Probably the best episode of STW. Had me going the whole time brother! Lol
The Macho Man was a better draw than The Warrior years later, uh-huh!
actually the last time wrestling fans would see the macho man was when he returned to the wwe company to promote the macho man legends of wrestling mattell toy. how the hell could you leave that out?? I was excited to see him return to the company after all those years. unfortunately he died shortly after
Randy obviously on Rushmore
Still unsure WHY they didnt have savage-steamboat in the 2nd round. The greg valentine match bored me.
That whole card was terrible
this is Ricky the Dragon Steamboat's cuppa coffee in the big time yeah! cuppa coffee in the big time! brilliant
Randy had nothing to hide???? when he started dressing like that in the 90s....yeah, he definitely lost all is muscle mass and was covering it up.
God I feel Bruce's frustration when Conrad can't seem to accept an answer. It's like don't ask if you won't accept the real answer!
Can we get a Liz episode? Granted I dunno how much outside of this time span Bruce woulda had much interaction with her, but it'd be great to hear
Macho has the best pick up lanes every “yea im wearing spandex and cowboy boots bitch”
That msg story had me rolling lmao
I couldn't stand brother love so if that's the reaction he was looking for he did his role well worst ever I put him in the very Horowitz Sandy Beach category 😆
