If I recall last year you went down to the Neshaminy Creek across the street from the Neshaminy Falls train station and really didn't have much luck but if you had just a little Upstream from where you were at there is killer carp fishing definitely worth a video sometime
Carp are absolutely under appreciated, pure pulling power. Had a few on that I absolutely couldn't do anything with. Serious hombre. Great video keep em coming
Good Morning Leo when i Just to live in Paterson, NJ i just to go to the passage river behind Kennedy high school n i use hero bread n catch the Carps too n loose the drag cause i almost lost a Rod too, Carps give u a very Hard hit n Run too
Great job introducing Dave to carp fishing! Last year I spotted a rare albino carp in the Sabine River, but it wouldn't bite because it was spawning! I was so disappointed. I really wanted that fish!
One of my friends a long time ago that just to live in Paterson, NJ he caught a 9 1/2 pound Carp, i remember I was in my thirtys, n it took a while to get the Carp out, fought about an hour n 45 minutes, it was about a little 25 o 25 1/2 long big the carp was fat
Fishing With Ibarra when you are starting out, use a slip sinker rig with a size 8 hook and sweet corn. Chum a couple handfuls of corn if legal, and cast out right near the chum. If you are sight fishing, use pieces of bread on a small hook weightless.
Fishing With Ibarra best tip I can give to you. Look up “carp fishing with hair rig and pack bait” You will catch a lot of channel cats too but I’ve caught some nice carp doing that. My best is right at 20 lbs
@@FishingWithIbarra i use a homemade pack bait. Usually a mixture of shreaded wheat, oatmeal, jello powder, and whole kernal corn. I put corn on the hook, make a ball of bait with your fist and shove the hook in it. When it sits in the water itll break down and itll just be a nice pile of bait with a hook in it and they will cruise the bottom and just suck it up.

Awesome video Leo!! I’ve been carp fishing for years now and I can say I love it more than anything, I’ve actually had a carp pull one of my rods in the water and I had to swim after it lmao (caught that fish too) keep up the good work!!!
Leo said lit, what!?!took my 4an5yr olds carp fishing with them kiddy poles they got one each 10lbs easy.my experience is them fish cruise very close to shore. i was shocked those crappy poles held awesome as usual
Consider it an invite, lol. There is more then white bass in the Wabash. Large mouth, Small mouth, various sunfish, Crappie, different types of cats. Yes on the creeks there are micros, as well as the summer White bass.
Got medium heavy ugly stick gx2 for christmas for bass off paddle board, been trying from bank because waters 2 cold and not even a nibble on it yet. You've inspired me to try for carp or possibly catfish, hoping it will handle it.
Wanna try some bigger ones ? Try dog food ( frolic loops ), these ladies like protéins during winter...with a carp rig ( hair along the Hook ), and don't chum so mutch, they can be stuffed quickly ! ( French tricks to catch 20-30 lbs mammas and Big barbels as well ! ) ! The Big ladies are quite clever and will snag you quickly...and they're soooooo strong !!!!! Cheers Man !
What is the best carp lures or bait? I have never caught a carp before, but at the lake I go fishing at, i have seen 10+ pound carps near the bank. And I once hooked a carp around 15 pounds but my line snapped(sadly)
kinda funny seeing you use special tactics for carp.. where I live there are so many carp and buffalo that i snag them constantly when i'm jigging for walleyes in the river
Hah. Yeah...Dave ALMOST lost his. Too bad you folks didn't get to see the full angle in the video. Mike was using ropes to tie them down. And I was using rodholder's. .
I just started getting into carp fishing, theres very few carp in my area and the ones that are here are very picky. Can anyone please give me some tips or tricks that have worked for them? Thanks in advance
Are carp considered a line shy fish? I'm going to start targeting carp after 50 years of fishing for everything except carp. Perris Lake in So. California is chock full of this species, the same as you've caught on this video. What would be the heaviest # test to use and still get plenty of bites. They run about 5-15 pounds here locally. Thanks Extreme Philly!
@@rafaelthe_one9088 Yes they do! The state record is 132 pounds. Hit the lake side of dams. Use large domestic shiners with a bait runner reel. Give them time to swallow then set the hook. 🎣
@@rafaelthe_one9088 Gar are gar they all get big. Yes my PB was an alligator gar. I have also caught a 30 pound long nose gar. The Florida gar is the smaller of the species though. I release all my gar and I don't target them. Here in Florida. Different story in Alabama and Texas. I target catfish but hook up with a lot of gar and Bowfin. They like the same things. Do you do any beach fishing? I'm just starting to get into that.
Leo, fish and concrete do not make for a good mix. I am disappointed in you! A simple playpen mat bought at a yard sale will make a big difference. Please respect the fish more. Thanks!

There’s no better feeling than seeing that epf uploaded a carp vid the night before your carp fishing trip.
What do you use to catch carp? I have never caught one before.

Also since method leads are somewhat expensive use dry wall anchors and cut the end off so you can put it on your line and put pack bait on
The carp we have will eat a smaller size shad they are a blast espacilly on a 12ft pole
Carp are super fun to catch. And harder to target than people think. Big fighters. Awesome vid homie

Wow, always a pleasure to see a new carp video, they're so fun!
As a kid would walk to fish that river . Thanks for the memories !
Grats to Dave on his first Carp. Nice size and fight. That Okuma almost went into the river!
I am sure Dave appreciates it. Hehe. And yeah...that rod almost went in. 😁😂😂😂
That’s really cool you let that guy fish 👌🏽 you are an awesome guy
Extreme Philly Fishing finally actually doing some extreme philly phishing lol
Great video!! Looks like y'all had a fun time.
EPF!!!
I caught my first bass of the year yesterday a largie (14 inches) and a smallie (12 incher)
Great carp session! A few years ago I had a 10lb mirror carp hit a surface plug. I only knew what it was from watching Carl and Alex.
Ho did a great job not losing his one rod! However, I adored that exxtra intro 😉💕
Hey man take ur time with the videos. Their worth the wait!

that guys net is awesome what a great idea I want to make one
My net is made from a 24 inch bike rim. I recommend using a bigger rim. I've struggled with larger carp!😀

Fishing With Ibarra sweetcorn or white bread are both great baits.
Just make sure your hooks are very sharp and the points are not masked by the bait.
I already commented on a different thread of yours but definitely try hair rigs and pack bait. You can look up how to tie them too.
At our local lake a lady caught a 42 lbs carp on corn yea nice tight lines buddy
Awsome
Lost a rod last year to a carp. That dinosaurs is probably swimming around with my rod as a jewelry.
Here in texas our common carp, majority of them way 30 lbs plus the biggest one I caught was 34.1lbs in a throw net but I went swimming
kinda funny seeing you use special tactics for carp.. where I live there are so many carp and buffalo that i snag them constantly when i'm jigging for walleyes in the river
Carp are adorable
Very nice fishing
Lost my rod at this river never will forget the way is sunk down with the help less feeling 😢
Can’t believe u never Hurd of okuma, one of the best bangs for the buck
Hey Leo love your vids, do you mind if I ask what bridge that is there to your right so I can check out this spot?

I've caught 3+ feet common carp on 20lb mono. I don't think they are that line shy not where I fish anyway.
Not too line shy, but very disturbance-shy...
I'm going fishing in Florida this summer
Loved the video but it was opening day of “chrowt” season, why weren’t you there?
Do some shad fishing bro would love to see some vids
What size line do you use for carp
11:33 that was weak man lol
Sweet
For such a strong fish, its odd themey are depicted to be so weak in pokemon. Poor little magikarp
