It depends on the type of spur. Some use a curved knife while others use a curved round spur, almost like a miniature ice pick. A professional sharpener will use a small buffer with shaped felt or paper wheels and compound. For stones, I would suggest a rod for the inside curve of the knife and a flat stone for the ice pick spur. The AC-4 that we carry at Bear Claw (bcknife.com) is a good option for touching up the knives. You might also purchase a hard Arkansas stone and round one edge with a diamond flattening stone. Unfortunately, we can no longer sharpen cockfighting knives in our store. I hope this helped Ryan.
