KoolCat ! I remember going to a dance club in the Boston area back in, what, 1993 or so? And this song was playing, first time I’d heard it. Pretty sure my jaw dropped from the awesomeness of it and I’ve loved INXS ever since. Love them so much the party band I’m in (with a horn section) will be doing a 3-4 song medley of INXS and this will be one of them.
Michael Hutchence was a beautiful man on the outside- he is undoubtedly one of the most handsome and charismatic men on the earth in his time and now. I haven't read a bad thing about him other than his personal affairs with women, but the women he was involved with have only kind words for him . To be humble and kind with his outside features and his talent is unprecedented for most people. It is heartbreaking on a grand scale that his life was cut short, whether he died by accident or suicide. My heart hurts for his family, lovers, and band mates. There is no replacing Michael Hutchence- one of a kind.

I didn't live the 80s or 90s but when I listen to music from the 80s I feel a sense a life that makes life interesting, as if I'm remembering the intensity and beauty of life before. Anyways, people can say what they want, the music back then not only had a lot of soul poured into it, but it was also organically made which makes it feel alive no matter the years after.
They got regular play in Canada before they got huge so this was the first song I heard from them in 1984 when I was 11. It was one of the coolest video I had seen to that point and I became a lifelong fan of INXS!

First heard it on Radio here in Melbourne, Australia, when it was released in 1983/84. Just as good in 2023 as it was 40 years ago. Some southern US states banned it because of its relationship undertones. But, pure Australian classic from the 1980s.

First heard it on Radio here in Melbourne, Australia, when it was released in 1983/84. Just as good in 2023 as it was 40 years ago. Some southern US states banned it because of its relationship undertones. But, pure Australian classic from the 1980s.
