  • TECHNOLOGY MUSAC. AKA Capsule Corp Music. AKA Chrono Trigger factory music. AKA Remains of the Factory
This is how I back stuff up to my Hard Did Drive, because I tried an external connector, and that didn't work, and now I don't trust external connectors for Hard Did Drives.
Kids do not try this at home, or anywhere else for that matter. Probably get a good external connector that works, and not a cheap Chinese piece of shit.
P.S. - I made sure everything was compatible with the external connector, and also did not hot plug it. Everything could have not been more stable and professionally connected. It's the connectors fault for being jank.
P.P.S - I smashed the external connector/adapter into twelve googplextrillion pieces. 12 dollars well spent.

The URL says Sv5D (which looks like SSD almost) and also it says XIM, which literally yesterday, I backed up Invader Zim episodes.

Nice! I started collecting DVDs again recently and looking to building a home media server some time in the near future. Only things really holding me back are storage and a router with a USB port or bridging functionality. Contemplating whether I should go with a NAS setup or a cheap workstation build for the extra HDD trays. Workstation would be preferable for it's versatility, but a NAS device would pull much less power... Decisions, decisions.

I have been having many computer problems as of late as well, in 2018 my original 2008~10 gamer rig finally melted its power pins to its motherboard on its 3rd cheapo power supply-
the replacement never worked well and constantly black screened and died in the middle of gaming for years until I replaced some parts- but sadly the SSD and harddrive both died within months of eachother a few months ago- then the motherboard died right after that- then I spent about a month of driving back n forth to L.A trying to get parts to make it run again- what a nightmare it has been.
I should've just bought a steam deck and called it quits until I had a few thousand saved up for a whole new rig.

Sorry to hear that. My previous desktop was also unstable nonsense, ever since I got it (I think it was the motherboard) Like it would freeze right around bootup, if I didn't completely cut power to the PSU every night (turning off the surge protector/power strip). And starting in late 2018, it just got worse, doing simple panning editing in Vegas would have about a 50/50 chance of my computer going NOPE and black screening/rebooting.
Even my current PC has this weird "CPU Bullet Time Asthma" anomaly. Where every once in a while, everything will be in slow mo, as well as the tempo of any audio going on getting slow and choppy (giving me a mini heart attack sometimes). But other than that, current PC is generally fine, thankfully.
