Kanye is my favorite artist of all time and James Blake is my favorite current young artist. When I got into Blake’s music to me his style seemed to fit so well with Kanye’s, I always thought it’d be a no brainer for them to collab on a beat in some way. The fact that this beat is just casually sitting on the internet and will probably never see the light of day is the epitome of tragic for me.
12000 people listened to this song. That's a lot. I made hundreds of songs for 10 years and none of 'm are probably heard by more than 100 people. Anyone that gets touched by a piece of art is a blessing in my opinion
I don't really understand why you would feel sad instead of glad and grateful about getting to actually getting to witness the very collaboration that you were wishing for .. I feel like people have become so entitled and demanding of artists .. wanting and expecting artists to cater to them personally rather than express themselves genuinely
@@silver_44 you’re too precious is more on the unique side of James catalogue in my opinion. He has so much range and has so many different vibes he can channel so there’s not much exactly like it, I feel like I’d do a better job recommending you songs if you tell me what exactly about You’re Too Precious do you like? Because overall the song is closer to the songs he made in the beginning of his career which were more electronic and club focused, more simple and repeated lyrics with emphasis on electronic beat manipulation and loops. But what makes you’re too precious unique is that even tho it has the electronic club vibe of his older songs, the vibe and tempo is more up beat and colorful which is something those older songs of his don’t have. A lot of his club/electronic songs are more darker/slower, not really songs that make you feel good and want to dance. I’d say his closest song to you’re too precious in terms of an electronic chill beat that makes you feel good is I’m So Blessed You’re Mine, which is a new song off his new album he recently released a couple months ago. But let me know what exactly about you’re too precious you like cuz depending on your answer will depend on which other songs of his you’d like. Like I said he has a lot of range which is why I love him so much. If you want to hear his songs that make me say him and Kanye’s style compliment eachother I’d say check out songs like: Waves Know Shores, Assume Form, Mile High, Radio Silence, Funeral (the version with Slowthai), We Might Feel Unsound. - These songs are heavy on being atmospheric/dark, one of his strong points, which is something Kanye does well too, which is why I say I think they’d compliment eachother well on a collaboration. James Blake produces his songs too and always uses samples in innovative ways which is another thing that makes me correlate him with Kanye. If you like Youre too Precious because of the simple club vibe of it (simple lyrics that are repeated and emphasis on creating a dope electronic beat) I’d say check out songs like : Once We All Agree, Not Long Now, Put That Away And Talk To Me, Radio Silence (again), Take a Fall For Me (has dope verses from the RZA), Mulholland. He can also play the piano and when he does it’s always a slow melancholy song that he sings while on the piano, check out Vincent, When We’re Older, When The Party’s Over, The Color In Anything. ALOT of his songs have dark melancholy vibes which is why I love him but if you want something up beat and dope check out Barefoot In The Park (one of the dopest sounding songs he’s ever made), Can’t Believe The Way We Flow, I’ll Come Too, Frozen, Coming Back. Overall he just has too many dope songs lmao, I’d honestly just say listen to as many songs of his as possible. His last 2 albums (Assume Form and Friends That Break Your Heart) are his best in terms of accessible music that follows a more normal structure, his older albums he gets a little lost in the whole electronic beat manipulation vibe so if you’re not big on that type of sound you probably won’t like a good amount of songs on those albums, but there’s still gems on them regardless.
