This palette is difficult but the colors solo are all beautifull. Mostly I use the shimmers with different Juvia's palettes. I love to see you do 3 looks 1 palettes with this one! Wish you good bij doing that!!! 😉
Only at the beginning of the video, but paused to say I really enjoy matte combinations of pink and orange, pink and red, orange and red (crease and lid interchangeably) - it's like summer all over punched me in the eye and I love it :)
Yeah I dont know why I said I dont like orange and pink together lmao I tried editing it out but couldnt get it to make sense when I did. I like then together too, but it depends on the tones for me. I like for them to both be on the warm side if I'm gonna pair them together as shimmers, I think as mattes they work beautifully together
Thank you, appreciate it. I always try my best to not call anything just a tutorial even if (lets be honest) it is a tutorial lol. I know most people dont click on tutorials, myself included 😂
Ah I'm glad! Yeah this is how I always look at palettes. I always kinda swatch it like this in my head when I'm trying to come up with looks and its super helpful
Thank you for this tutorial. This is so helpful for someone like me since I just gravitate to the same colors all the time. Pushes me to be more creative. Please do more of these.
I think its actually super normal for people who arent on youtube tbh. I used to mix palettes all the time too, and I always do it when I'm not filming. But its just better to keep videos to one palette for many reasons
I think the orange crease, deepened with the red with the bronze shade or the pinkish-red shimmer (or both) would have worked really well together. I avoid black as much as possible bc it always seems to take over every look on me and muddies things up. The only time I use black is if I'm using it as liner with mascara and that's it and even then I prefer a dark chocolate brown. I also do the toned down look with the transition though too. lol I probably would have done the orange in the crease with red at the outer V and used the nude all over with maybe the bronze in the center or something like that. Those pinks look really pretty too. Pink and black always go together too.
Yeah that would have looked pretty, but a bit 'boring' for me lol 😂. I do LOVE pink and black together tho 😍. I get black shadow not being for everyone, but I love the intensity it gives.

I personally have three juvias place palettes and the Saharan pairs great with the nubian2 and the Zulu for a full pink or blue look. I love the red and black matte look, also I like the option of gold/bronze looks as well.
I can totally see that. But as someone who only uses one palette at a time for filming purposes, I've come to think of and judge palettes a lot differently lol

Its one of my favorite palettes that I have! It can be tricky, yes, its good to pair with others. But I adore red, or ge and black looks so this palette is just awesome. Love the look!
I love this palette but only for 4 colours. The bright matte red, the matte black, the gold & the shimmery white (which is pretty unique in my collection) Because these palettes are so affordable I'm ok with not using all the shades. I'm coming from the standpoint of someone who likes neutrals though. I love the way you broke down the palette into options. Fab video hun 😍
Thanks! I agree, if I didnt love juvias place as much as I do, I dont think I would have bought this, but some of the shades in this palette are SO beautiful that I dont regret it at all. Pretty sure I got it half off too
I really like this breakdown showing of the thought process video. I do have this palette, but I haven't used it in a while. I do think it's gorgeous! I find that I use the Douce the most out of the ones I have. I'm very fair and my eyes are heavily hooded and small. I just find that palette so easy and I can use it for blush and sometimes highlight too lol. I put it to work!
Such a Gorgeous Look!!! I really need to use this palette More Too! I think it's my least used to palette from Juvia's Place as Well!!! The shade Nathan Looks SO Pretty on You!!! I Wish it Looked Like that on Me!!! I remember it looking way more Orange on Me lol!!! Maybe I'll have to try it again Too!!! Love You!!! ❤❤❤
Thanks so much for this video. I do one look with this palette, only one because I look at it and get stumped. Please do a three looks with it. I love Juvia’s Place and need more inspiration for this palette. Keep doing what you do, love the videos.
I would love to see a three looks with this palette. I think a lot of people find this color story hard to work with. I'm the same way with a black shadow in a palette. I just can't ignore it😂😂
i totally understand, i have hooded eyes and you can't even tell i did a cut crease, so i agree they are over rated lol! really enjoyed this style of video!
Lol right?? I think its fun from time to time as it allows for using more shadows together without it getting muddy and stuff, but yeah its kind of a waste of time 😂
I love the idea of looking at all the mattes in a palette and then all the shimmers in a palette separately--that's such a helpful way to analyze all the shades and figure out what kinds of looks it will make! I used to be so afraid of black shadow and think, "What am I ever going to do with that except for a dramatic smokey eye?" The first time I tried using just a little black along the lash line or to deepen up the outer corner, my world was changed. Now one of my major complaints with a lot of palettes is that they are lacking at least one deeper matte shade (it doesn't have to be BLACK, it can be a deep purple, deep blue, deep Burgundy, deep green, whatever). I love having something to deepen or intensify the look if I want to!
It makes it so much easier to get an overview of the palettes! So happy youre on board with dark mattes and blacks. They really make such a difference and can make a palette go from one dimensional to AMAZING
I use this for work wear.. I dress formal... I do the brown in the crease with a bit of black on the outside and then pick a shimmer to go all over... I do have a tan skin tone,so it definitely looks more muted on me.. I love this palette...
Lol, I have it and I still haven't used it for the same reasons. A 3 looks would be awesome cause this one stumps me 😉. The look is gorgeous 😍, I'm inspired to use it now ☺️
I love juvias place and have this pallette the colors are beautiful but I have trouble coming up with looks because of the limited matte selection. I really liked the look you did though 😊 very pretty
Thanks! I feel like limiting mattes has been a theme in a lot of palettes lately. Its almost like brands think that we want to wear the same crease colors every day and just switch out the lid shades... ugh it annoys me so much lol
Annette, you're seriously so cute❤️. We all know that arm swatches don't do eyeshadows justice. I purchased this palette, as well as all the others, and I actually enjoy this palette, when I am not feeling like rainbow and unicorn colorful. It works well with shades from some of their other palettes too. I agree with you too, that people should jump on board and purchase from this brand. They're so worth the money. I literally decluttered all my palettes and kept only Juvias Place and my James Charles and Jaclyn Hill Palettes, as well as six $5 or less palettes...most by Amuse. You'll never know how well the makeup will perform or if it's worth the money until you use it.
@@AnnettesMakeupCorner I know what you mean. I've tried brands like Tarte and Too Faced and find them uninspiring. In my opinion Juvias quality out performs most high end brands.
Lol I find mainstream brands to be so mediocre these days. They never think out of the box, and always make their products based on whats gonna sell the most. It makes sense as a business, but zzzz is it boring for is lol
Love how you put the colours together but totally get why you have trouble with that palette. I think the mattes definitely influence what colour schemes you can come up with.
I love this video! I, too, have this palette! And I didn't think about it this much. Maybe because of that orange shade that I love! Hahaha! And I put orange and pink together!
This is gorgeous🤗. Juvias Place never disappoints. I can see where this palette could be a little difficult because the color story is a bit weird. And I would def need more mattes also. That said, you created a beautiful look💕
I had/have this palette. I loved the colours and the quality but I've very rarely used this palette so I depotted the shades and I use them way more now.

I have this palette I love this palette I don't really use it but I do use that gold a lot 😀💞💞💞 and I do love this look you make me want to break this palette out 💕
So interesting I love seeing your process! I love how it all came together in the end. 💜 I havent sat down to film with this palette other than for the palette bingo but I really want to pull it out and have a play now! It's so funny how you were saying you don't normally like pairing orange and pink together but I love it 😂 ❤
Thanks! I actually do really like using pink and orange together, idk why I said that. I just dont like THOSE exact tones of that matte with that shimmer lmao. Should have specified 😂😂. I tried to edit it out, but then nothing made sense 🙈
I own this and am a bit conflicted with the colour story as well. I think if the placement of the shadows was redesigned perhaps, taking the guess work out of each tone or adding another mid tone matte aside from brown. I only gravitate to 1 - 2 mattes or shimmers and use it in conjunction with the Nubian 1 neutral. Great eye look, must try it.
I like this palette, but also find it a bit hard to use. But I actually got inspired by you saying that you don’t like pink and gold together😂 I totally love that combo and habe to try it with this palette! Why didn’t I think of it before?!🤔
Hahah I dont mind a matte pink with a shimmery gold, but I dont like a shimmery gold with a shimmery pink is what I was trying to say, but I def wasnt specific enough 😂
I bought that palette because of that greeny gold at yje top row. But I really like all the colors in ot for the quality. A lot of times I just mix with other palettes or singles...
I love the crease color with that lippie. I also love Nathan so maybe that's one of the reasons I like it. Lol! It would be great to see a 3 looks 1 palette with this one. I have it (I have all of the JP palettes), but I have no idea where to go with it. Lol! TFS! ~ Nona
Some of the pinks look cool in the pan, but once they are on my eye, they work well with the orange! Skin tone/undertone might make it work for some and not others. It is a hard pallets for me to work with, outside of a sunset eye! I wish there were more mattes, even though I am more flexible with my wear some shimmers on crease and don’t always darken my midtone looks
Hmm I think it just depends on your eyeshape and something you have to try on yourself to figure out what works for you. It also depends on how much space you have between your brow and the outter part of your eye and the angle of your lower lashline. I cant really do a tutorial on it since its just so personal and no one has the exact same eyes I do
Can I get your advice please!! I’ve been on the hunt for a vibrant green eyeshadow or eyeshadows and I’ve thought about Juvias place, what do u think? Or do you have another suggestion?
The new Colourpop Just my luck palette is great but they are more on the minty side. The Blushtribe Hasina 2 palette and the Juvias Tribe palette are both fantastic as well. The Huda Beauty emerald obsessions is really good too, but very similar to the CP one
Whew thought I was the only one lol. I dont mind it as much with pink matte and a gold shimmer, but a gold shimmer with a pink shimmer? no thx... idk why that bothers me so much 😂
I've come to think that the black is the most important shade in this palette, and is needed to ground the mattes and shimmers and makes them work together. Whenever I use any of the cooler shimmers, I end up deepening up the crease with the black to make them work with the mattes and give the right dimension.
I dont sorry. Im not super into skin care so I only use a cleanser, toner, moisturizer and serum. The absolute basics. It just doesnt interest me and dont bother trying to convince me otherwise 😂
This colour story is soo weird to me too. And not inspiering at all, cause i dont use warm tones or blacks in the crease without something else in it too😅 There are a few pretty shimmers, but as you already know. I dont get palettes when i only like a couple of the shades🤪🤪
Yeah this was def one of those 'I just love juvias and I dont hate this palette AND theyre having 50% off and I can get free shipping kinda purchase' lmao
I bought this palette and thought it was going to be a wonderful neutral sultry palette... And I feel the same way. Im very uninspired by the color story also..
I love this palette but I find myself never being able to use just the palette for a full look I always have to dip into another palette to create the look I want
Yeah I dont think Iwould have gotten this if I didnt have such a soft spot for juvias palettes and they were having a 50% off sale late last year lmao. But I'm happy I have it now
@@AnnettesMakeupCorner I literally just today filmed a video with products I'm thinking about decluttering and I used that palette 😂 but yeah...still not sure I can get myself to let go of it just yet...

Thanks! I actually do really like using pink and orange together, idk why I said that. I just dont like THOSE exact tones of that matte with that shimmer lmao. Should have specified 😂😂. I tried to edit it out, but then nothing made sense 🙈
@@AnnettesMakeupCorner Bahaha oh right that makes more sense. :D
Yeah I think this is a great companian palette for sure!
I love the top shade. If I could I would get the palette just for that shade.
I bought that palette because of that greeny gold at yje top row. But I really like all the colors in ot for the quality. A lot of times I just mix with other palettes or singles...
Yeah the quality of it is great!
I bought this pallet to have a good pigmented black!
YES its perfect!
Loved this!
Yay I'm glad!
I love the crease color with that lippie. I also love Nathan so maybe that's one of the reasons I like it. Lol! It would be great to see a 3 looks 1 palette with this one. I have it (I have all of the JP palettes), but I have no idea where to go with it. Lol! TFS! ~ Nona
Thanks, this was my first time wearing Nathan, so I wasnt sure how it would look, but I love it! LOL I'll try to do more looks with it. #totherescue 😂
You are for sure! Lol! 💋🎀💋🎀💋
Love your hair, Rosue the riveter vibes for sure. What is your favorite juvias palette?
Thanks love! I have a video coming up where I rank all of my juvias palettes 😏
Can you do a video on some tips on winging out shadows? I can’t do it to save my life
Hmm I think it just depends on your eyeshape and something you have to try on yourself to figure out what works for you. It also depends on how much space you have between your brow and the outter part of your eye and the angle of your lower lashline. I cant really do a tutorial on it since its just so personal and no one has the exact same eyes I do
Please do a 3 looks one palette. I really don't know what to do with these shadows. Mainly bought it for the greenish gold colour.
Btw love this look. I'm gonna save it to try 👌
I'll try haha
Thanks! Let me know if you do!
I feel the same about this palette . I just use this one as a supplementary palette .
I know right?
Can I get your advice please!! I’ve been on the hunt for a vibrant green eyeshadow or eyeshadows and I’ve thought about Juvias place, what do u think? Or do you have another suggestion?
Shimmer or mattes? Juvias place is always a safe choice tho
Either or both! Lol it doesn’t matter if they are shimmer or matte, as long as it’s a bomb green. Actually I think probably matte would be best
The new Colourpop Just my luck palette is great but they are more on the minty side. The Blushtribe Hasina 2 palette and the Juvias Tribe palette are both fantastic as well. The Huda Beauty emerald obsessions is really good too, but very similar to the CP one
Thank you! You’ve given me a few options to look at! I appreciate your advice so much, thank you for answering me! ❤️
Curious ? Have u bought any new releases ? The kaleidos new set ? On the fence but our UA-cam friends are all about it
I did buy the kaleidos set! I also have the blushtribe neon palette, the certifeye affinity 2 and the Glamlite burger palette coming lol
I wasn't interested in this palette before you swatched it out... now I can see myself using it.
Probably not as well as you, though!
Hahaha its actually a fun palette when you start playing with it!
I do feel like the colour story is tough, but you did such a good job!
Thanks! Its a bit tricky eh?
This tends to be my 'smoky eye' palette. Various takes on a smoky eye. Or a bronze shimmer or orange matte one n done with some black winged eyeliner.
Yes!! Its a great smokey eye palette!
Pink and gold are hard to put together I agree with you.
YES I agree! Especially since a lot of the shimmers are pretty dark, it really needs a black so that the darkest shade in the palette isnt a shimmer
If you isolate the warm colours it’s less tricky because the intense colours throw off the eye from all the subtle shades.
True
Hey cutie! Do you ever do videos on your skincare?
I dont sorry. Im not super into skin care so I only use a cleanser, toner, moisturizer and serum. The absolute basics. It just doesnt interest me and dont bother trying to convince me otherwise 😂
Your headband is cute on you
Thanks!
I have that pallet and I’m confused with the pallet too I tend to get another to make a look
Yeah I think its better as a companion palette
I bought this palette and thought it was going to be a wonderful neutral sultry palette... And I feel the same way. Im very uninspired by the color story also..
Hahaha yeah its kind of deceptive and I dont really think its neutral at all since all of the mattes are pretty bright or dark
I love this palette but I find myself never being able to use just the palette for a full look I always have to dip into another palette to create the look I want
Yeah I dont blame you, this is for sure more of a companion palette in my mind too
red and purple! I don't know why I have always disliked them together but love them individually. I am trying to get past that.
Hahaha sometimes we cant explain why we dont like something
firsssst .. yes love juvias look ideas 💡
Woop woop
I really wish the icy pink was a cool-tones matte. The two pinks are a bit too similar I think.
YES I agree!
💕⭐️🤗
😘
I’m first!!! Yay!
Haha YAY!
Like 223 and watched advert in full for you hope it helps xxx
Awe thanks babe!
I think Juvias Place is the most under-rated palettes.. I own several Pat Mcgrath and use my Juvias Place palettes way more.
Right??? Juvias shimmers are just as good imo.
😯
And unlike PMG, Juvia’s Place is cruelty free too!
they are amazing, I have been buying them as they are on sale and they are a hit!
i didnt get this palette for the same reasons, i can't make a cohesive look with the colors in my head and it doesnt call to me
Yeah I dont think Iwould have gotten this if I didnt have such a soft spot for juvias palettes and they were having a 50% off sale late last year lmao. But I'm happy I have it now
I always say blush instead of brush 😂
LOL why is it so hard 😂
I have so much trouble with this palette...I go back and forth on whether to get rid of it. 😏
Ahhh dont give up on it!
@@AnnettesMakeupCorner I literally just today filmed a video with products I'm thinking about decluttering and I used that palette 😂 but yeah...still not sure I can get myself to let go of it just yet...
Hahaha I'm excited to watch!
This is actually one of the juvias place palettes I dont feel inspired by. I just never bought it because it was .... meh. But the look is gorgeous nonetheless.
I know right? I wouldnt have bought it if I didnt have such a soft spot for all my other palettes, and I got it during a 50% off sale last year lol
TFS. This pallette is not for me. Take care.
I do feel like the colour story is tough, but you did such a good job!
