I grew up in Tg Bungah penang eating tok tok mee (wantan mee) costing 40sen . Hawker sell on bicycle cart going house to house. Original taste cannot be recreated because important additives in noodles banned lol.

Bro, just cant believe these day and these age still you can find wantanmee at RM3.80. Just unbelievable. Where i come from, in malacca actually, wantanmee cost RM6.50 for small and RM7.00 for large. Thanks for this video bro.
Not much places still selling less than RM4 but there are still a few that I know of
@@48Holiao Bro, you are very much luckier than me in malacca. Food prices here hv spike up a lot. Normal yikiaw noodle now cost RM7 for small and RM8 for large. I hope the authorities would start to look at it. Malacca hawkers are now a greedy lot. In the 80's, i could still get 0.80 for wantanmee in Bkt Baru, Malacca. Food prices in Malacca started to increase more in the 90's with the booming of tourism.

Just check with some friends in Penang. This wantanmee stall has up the price to RM4.50. When was this video taken? Majority in Penang selling wantanmee at RM5 which is still very much cheaper than in malacca.
