The US Airways ticket agent that checked the case was impressed by how completely the latches were secured. The case has layers of removable foam cubes that can be easily adapted to the contents of the case and keep everything secure. After declaring its contents to the ticket agent, I was allowed to put this case in other checked luggage. Due to its size and black color, this helped insure that it wasn't misplaced by a baggage handler. TSA was (apparently) happy with the packaging as well. If you plan on flying with more than one of the main items, I would recommend buying a larger Pelican case and just transport the case as another piece of checked luggage.

I always get a laugh out of guys that have $50-$75 grand or more in a truck that has tons of "look at me" accessories added to it plus tens of thousands in guns and they bitch about the cost of a $900 security product. The more it says look at me the more it screams break in me!
Man I just installed the console safe. Wow! Just a thought since he is your friend. I would pass on a couple of suggestions. I have a crewmax the under seat long gun for it has some issues. The biggest problem I have with it is that I have to lift both seats in order to access the firearms. Please pass it on to him to make a lid or top like the one you have with split door. If I need to access quickly and the passenger seat is down I can’t open it. Hell a box just the width of the large seat would be great! I can cut the square seat frame latch’s and recess it flush to the floor like the esp box.
You should mention what the website states. "This will raise your back seat 3" " which reduces visibility out back window. Other wise it seems like a great product. I bought the console safe and will pull the trigger on this one someday.

It does have a small console in the middle but it's not a adjustable type at all it's just a bench seat that's it? The hinges and locks look rather weak. I'm betting a crow bar would easily break into it. Also the struts don't look recessed into the top do the would take up usable space correct?
Is the seat able to actually go all the way down to 90 degrees as before, or is the safe propping it up a bit. There appears to be a gap which is larger forward than rear of the seat suggesting it is not able to seat fully.
I see the main use of this being if you break down in the middle of no where. You can keep the gun and other survival equipment here for use. If the shit hit the fan and there was a massive attack out of no where it would be good I guess although it would take a while to access this weapon.
I have two of these safes in my tundra. Console and under back seat. They are great quality and I love them. One of the best things to protect your valuable guns. I leave one ar and glock in there at all times. The only complaint I have is speed of access. The little dial combo lock is not very fast or easy to see. Make sure your sidearm is out while driving or in person. U will not be able to access it fast like this guy in video. I got the dial lock on mine. I’m wondering if I can change out to the push button lock and would it be faster? I find myself leaving combo dial to two correct numbers to speed my access.

Have you compared the space issues of a 2006 era truck vs a more modern 2015? People aren't buying decade old trucks, they are buying new. Why would a company invest in building safe's for such a small market segment? That's how you go out of business. You build, what sells, simple.

what kind of truck is that (again)? cause I've never owned a truck and the back seats fold up, and I've NEVER seen that as a feature on a truck.
David Hernadez all work trucks with a cab like this do that. This was a toyota tundra but fords and chevys also do this.

The foam they sit on is kinda rubbery and keeps them from sliding. You could easily install mounts as well.
No long guns(loaded) in a vehicle in PA. Ammo in separate container. So, these are good for free states and the Federales.
