BHS4 Critical Listening

Critical Listening. it is an important skill to develop. Listening Critically is not listening to criticize your playing, it is to identify the merits and positive parts of your playing and broaden those good factors. If you can learn to apply your critical assessment of your playing while you are out and about just listening passively to the background music, you can apply what you've heard in styles and techniques to your practice session at home. Listen to music with a critical ear for your instrument and passively absorb the style and technique to broaden your interpretive abilities on your instrument.
