For amount of players they need to trade away to get Skubal, Dodgers can acquire 1 sub 4 ERA pitcher like Flaherty or Bassitt and an innings eater like Kikuchi plus two guys who can hit decently like Canha or Falefa to slotbthem in 7-9 in the batting order.
I don’t think Dodgers fans should worry about acquiring Skubal, I just don’t think they have the higher ranked prospects that Detroit would be demanding. They want quality over quantity.
Funny how the team that just spent more $1B in the off-season is still looking for more pitching. O's can easily make this deal right now if they're willing to give up Jackson Holliday. I think it's a lot more complicated for Dodgers.

Tigers need to stop trading top talent for prospects Skubal is one of the top 2-3 starting pitchers in baseball in my mind you have to look at where you are and are you giving up on the season. If I did trade him it would be for a load but I say no to any trade the Tigers need to stop being every other teams farm team.

Do see the math problem here? Do you think the Tigers will outbid the Dodgers or Yankees? Add to that, that it is highly unlikely the Tigers are winning any championships in the next two years, and you see the final problem. By the time Detroit is ready to compete, Skubal will be a free agent, and he will go to the market, and they will be outbid by one of the bigger market clubs. It’s that simple, and that is why, if you get the offer you want, you have to trade him. Would it be nice to win a few more games in the next two seasons, hell yea, I’m sick of losing too, but if you can get a couple of high prospects that you control for seven years, and fill some of the weaknesses on the roster, it’s worth the gamble.
