I had kidney pancreas transplant 16 years ago. I have been extremely fortunate. My creatine hovers around 1.0. Blood sugar upper 90's always. No rejection or other issues. I see transplant clinic twice a year.
This man, along with the staff at Johns Hopkins, are held in my highest regard. Not only have they overseen and performed the transplant procedure for my grandmother, but also safely harvested a kidney from my aunt. In one day I might add... I cannot thank them enough for what they have accomplished. Much love :)

I've had my kidney and pancreas transplant for over 20 years and still doing good and feel great. I am a experimental transplant patient where I have some issues but they transplant my pancreas different than the way they do it now

My friend had kidney pancreas transplant. Kidney functioning well pancreas not really yet (approx 5 weeks). But significant problems with abdominal pain, nausea, and extremely low BP (68,48 sitting). Drs don't know why. Can JHU do virtual consult? She's been medicated back to surgery location twice at local hospitals direction.. but no new treatment or diagnostics. Very worried. Thank you.

I wish allthe best to you and your wife! I'm a blind wife, blogger and artist. I lost my eyesight in 26 years old and after 6 years I lost my kidneys. I've had type 1 diabetes sinse I was 12 years old. Now I have a kidney and a pancreas transplant. I am hoping/assuming you are on Lantus and Humalog/Novalog. You may want to increase your Lantus and adjust your diet. Much of the time when people have BS lvls all over the place it is caused from Complex Carbs such as Pasta or Potatoes. I am not a Dr. but I am a Type I Diabetic myself. I tell my newbie diabetic friends to stay away from the 3 P's Pizza, Pasta and Potatoes. In addition, stay away from all soft drinks. Even Diet because the Aspartame makes you more hungry and thirsty.
