I agree, you can't beat a wood camp fire.. You need one of those one piece fiberglass tops to keep the water out... My Son had one of those soft tops and it leaked like a sieve... He went to keeping everything in individual waterproof boxes and a one piece fiberglass top..

My next truck will have something even better if I can help it.

Sorry about everything getting wet. We finally broke down and bought a folding aluminum bed cover from Peragon last year before our South Dakota trip. I can’t believe I waited so long to get one! Yeah, it is pricey, but it folds up tight to the cab, is removable, aluminum, and lockable.

My next truck will have a better cover for sure.

Sorry about your hatchet. This is why I always bring everything back inside when I get home.
    Thanks for the video brother

Oh the hatchet will be fine with a little work. I have got to get where I can bring it all in.

Dang sure hate your stuff got wet and moldy but that’s my kind of luck too brother! Definitely a learning experience but gives you an excuse to buy some new boxes😉

We had thought about going camping this weekend but didn't plan it. I am ready to go though. Dang that is aggravating having to go through all that after the lid blew up like that. It is good that you got a list of what you need now though.

I've got one of those large Harbor Freight boxes mounted on top of my 4runner. Been in all kinds of weather and has never leaked a drop. About half the price of a Pelican. I also use the Harbor Freight stackable tool boxes. They work great.
