- Welcome back for my second installment of this amazing 1/4 scaled Batman figure!! I will be giving you a detailed comparison between the Hot Toys and Enterbay versions of the two. Now they didn’t release at the same time, literally years apart. But, this can be a very helpful tool for any collector!!😎🤘🏻🦇

You know how what’s funny ? Hot toys released many , many Batman but as for begins, they’re still off the mark whereas Enterbay entered the game this one time and completely nailed it . 😂
I agree bro… they have released around 5 1:6 and 1 1:4 and still haven’t hit the mark. The only complaint I have for Enterbay is Batman’s belt being like 4 links to small.. other than that, perfect figure!!! Thank you for tuning in and the support!!!😎🤘🏻🦇

Thanks for your reviews you helped me decide which one to get, so I’ve just ordered the Hot Toys 1/4 Batman begins and I’ve won a Hot Toys 1/4 DKR and Enterbay Batman on eBay. I’m now trying to get an Enterbay 1/4 Joker. That whirlwind you talked about I’m totally in it 😝

Hey man was just wondering. Is the 1/4th TDKR worth it? I can afford it but it’s going for around $1300 right now. Is that a sweet price spot? There aren’t many new ones left and it’s one of the fews. I already have the Begins QScale figure. Just keen on getting the TDKR one to complete my Nolan collection atm. The Nolan trilogy was also everything to me. Please lmk what u think!
Hey there bro!! Sorry for the late reply, I’m catching up😅 I hope you still have an option open for a TDKR. But my thoughts, he is an awesome figure. Very well made with nothing to complain about, at least in my opinion.. now the price... I’ve been there before bro.. it sucks to pay triple the original but sometimes we have too.. i once paid $600ish for that Exclusive Hot Toys Batman Begins 1/6 with Harness, right when he dropped in the Asia markets. He was then absolve later through Sideshow but all American releases had major foot problems (I bought one through SS too). And that’s just one example.. I’ve been there many times bro. I say, if he’s new and you have your heart set on him, go for it. He is a solid figure bro😎🤘🏻🦇
I would call it a draw between the cowls/mouthpieces. It all depends on whether you want your Batman stood hunched over, brooding (Enterbay), or if you're after a more aggressive/fighting look (Hot Toys. The enterbay mouthpieces look more like Bale's chops, though the Hot Toys have the superior paint apps, and so they should, the Enterbay figure came out 5-6 years ago.
Bat suits: I much prefer the Enterbay here. It looks more accurate to my eyes. Also consider this, if you were Batman would you want a shiny suit, one that would reflect the surrounding lights? Surely it would make stealth more difficult. The Enterbay look is much more intelligent. It's almost as if it was designed to absorb any light source. The belt on the Enterbay also looks more screen accurate to me. It's just a shame that it's positioned so poorly (although that can be fixed).
Body. Hot Toys wins here. The Enterbay figure can look a little tubby, especially around the mid-section and backside. Thankfully, if you're brave/careful you can remove some of the underlying sponge to make the figure look more svelte.
Bruce Wayne sculpt: I'm still waiting for a 95+% likeness for Christian Bale. I would give the nod to Enterbay's BW. While it's not perfect - too gaunt and the eyes make him look like he is sick - I do at least see Bale in there. The Hot Toys offering looks like an Gal Gadot - Eric Bana lovechild. It's the eyes that are really throwing things off for me here.

I definitely feel that the texture/ color of the Enterbay suit is almost dead on compared to the Hot Toys version.. I still find it odd that Hot Toys did so well with their 1:6 version of the suit but made such a drastic change for 1:4.
You know I have seen the modification of Eb’s by removing some foam.. but with owning only one I wasn’t brave enough lol...
I definitely thing both versions are great!! And have enjoyed my Enterbay figure since it released but I could pass up seeing what Hot Toys was brining to the table. I will also be comparing Jokers once Hot Toys releases theirs.

Thanks for your reply Jesse! I'll admit that I'm a huge Enterbay fan - their Joker, BD T-800, T-1000, and Batman are my favourite figures in my collection. I liked their Joker so much that I bought a second one and repainted its sculpt to make him look more messed up. I'm really chuffed with how it turned out.
I wasn't brave enough to remove the sponge from Batman's backside, but I did do the 'surgery' on the abs and it looks so much better now.
Like you, I find it very difficult to pass up another version of TDK Batman and Joker, and am looking forward to seeing what HT's do with their 1/4 Heath Ledger Joker. I must admit to not being all that impressed by the prototype of the 1/4 Joker sculpt and feel that it is harsh of HT's to restrict the second head-sculpt(which I believe is by far the better of the two: at least right now) to the exclusive version.

Thanks for your engagement bro! I’m always trying to get people to share their opinions with me and I always answer back! But I too loved Enterbay!! I thought we were gonna have two titans pumping out top line figures in an on going toy war in which we the collectors would the real winners!! Lol!! But then Enterbay just kind of dropped off the map.. I know they still do NBA figures but that’s not really my realm..
You know if I had the money at the time I would have gladly grabbed up and extra!! I love EB’s Joker!! Awesome set of accessories to go with him!! Do you happen to have videos of these changes?? We should find each other over Instagram and/or Facebook!!
You know I got really excited when Hot Toys announced they were doing these two 1:4 figures, Hot Toys got me into the world of high end collecting (kind of like a first love lol) so I couldn’t pass them up! I agree about the headsculpts, that Ex Head looks amazing! I was tempted to pick up two... but I definitely think that Enterbay set a VERY high bar for a 1:4 Joker!

It's a genuine shame that Enterbay are no longer focusing on film and tv characters - it is scary to think of the standards that they could be hitting these days. My guess is that they didn't make enough money on the figures that we have mentioned. This could be due to them paying too much for the licenses, the high r & d costs (securing the exceptional talent & the bill of materials), and that the demand for 1/4 figures just wasn't there.
Hot Toys were also responsible for getting me into this hobby. When I first saw their Christopher Reeve Superman I was well and truly blown away. I had to get it. At that point I thought that it'd be the only figure that I 'd ever need and would stop at just that. How wrong was I!!
Thankfully, we have the likes of ThreeZero ( I just bought their Bioshock Big Daddy) and Blitzway doing some very interesting things, but out of everyone, I felt that Enterbay could have been the ones to keep Hot Toys on their toes, when it comes to both quality and value.

You know bro in short I choose Hot Toys for a couple reasons but mostly for his practicality. He feels solid with nothing falling off of him. I’ve always been scared to touch the Enterbay one lol 😎🤘🏻🦇

@@JesseRebirth The difference is the cowl and the eyes, also the mouth. In general Enterbay is more accurate, and hot toys still don't know how to make capes

Enterbays Batman begins or sideshows premium format Batman begins?
I would say Enterbay Batman but I have never seen the Sideshow PF in person. I did watch Sideshow’s cool little video of the making of that Batman and the prototype did look awesome but I haven’t seen any of the production pieces. Are you planning on getting one or the other?
@@JesseRebirth yeah looking on ebay for one. the Premium format looks great but the pose is a bit unnatural (might look better in person tho) . The Enterbay Batman also looks great but I heard its plastic and fragile. Ive seen The Premium Format sell for half the price of the enter bay batman so maybe Ill get that one.

Man O man I’m so glad I got this!! Mine just arrived an hour ago my 1/4 Hot Toys Batman Begins. Now I have both Hot Toys and Enterbay I’m very impressed with the build quality of the Hot Toys. The magnets are a bit of a pain in the butt you literally gotta hold them down while you position the cape although the cape itself is pretty nice once you positioned it correctly. Love how the gauntlets don’t twist around and stay in place, or at least they appear to unless they’re just stiff? Only had my Enterbay a couple of days but I’m constantly fiddling with the gauntlets just to make them even. But both are absolutely amazing figures I love them both!! The gadgets were extremely easy to clip on to the belt. I’m very pleased with both 😁😁😁

Jesse Laurienti yeah I know, but tbh the new suit by Hot Toys it’s really growing on me. Hot Toys and Enterbay they each have a plus in some respects over each other such as the Cowell and belt on Hot Toys they’re kinda more superior and better made whereas the realism of the Enterbay suit it’s more superior but the belt and magnets for the gadgets are a let down. I’ve got the Hot Toys belt fully loaded whereas on the Enterbay I’m terrified to take the rest of the gadgets out of the box in fear of them falling off and getting swallowed up by my carpet in the hobby room 🙈 And the fiddly gauntlets are a slight pain in the butt 😝 The Hot Toys cape I wasn’t too sure what to make of it at first but once I got it on the figure you notice how well it hangs down around the figure. The magnets aren’t in the correct place but one can overlook that as they’re not really off by that much. The cape is quite long and thick and has a quality feel to it. I now have 6 of the 1/4 Batman figures 4 of them are by Neca and 1 HT and 1 Enterbay. Once my Hot Toys DKR one arrives I’ll have 7. I’ll make a quick video when I’ve got the place to myself 😝
I’m seriously considering buying a 2nd HT 1/4 Batman Begins so I’ll be able to have another display option, I’d really like to display both Batman figures with a 1st night out Wayne in the middle of them that’d be awesome 😝
Btw on your Hot Toys batman when you putting the Cowell on do you struggle like me? It’s bit difficult attaching the Cowell and I have to put on the Bruce Wayne head, I use the Wayne head to pull up the joint where the head sculpt attaches to make a bit higher to get the Cowell on to the body. The Wayne neck it’s much easier to get onto the body but I do struggle with the Cowell, omg 😝
