My school has lockdowns every month due to shooting and bomb threats. And my school takes these threats seriously, little do they know some of those threats are from students who didn't want to take school tests so they made fake threats.

That's happened at my school like two or three times. Its very unfortunate that people will go to such lengths to get out of a freaking test

I have had a lock down in my school because someone was trying to commit suicide. All I remember was fealing fear as I heard the police dogs running down the hall and the police screaming, "PUT THE GUN DOWN!!" I have never felt so much fear in my entire life.

one time my school got locked down bcuz it was a shooting across the street and on our football feild (side note we go to school across the street from the projects) and I think two ppl died or one person died and one was injured but the shooter ran off and we had to go on lock down bcuz they thought he was going to run into the school

the death kid would t have mattered, woulda been safer for him. The cops were already at the door, it was more dangerous having the dude nearly shoot him than have the dude walk away and be caught.
When I was in 9th grade. We were having lunch and all of a sudden we saw teachers running down the hallways and lunchroom snatching down the blinds so you couldn’t see in. The assistant principle used a bullhorn to tell us to stay quiet and go back to our classrooms and we could finish lunch there. He said that if we made any noise that we would be suspended for five days. I got back to class confused about what was happening so I asked my Spanish teacher what was going on and before I could finish asking her she said I don’t know be quiet. She counted all 27 of us and covered up the windows and the door window. She said really quietly that we were under lockdown and that we needed to get to the corner closest to the window so we could jump out if we needed too. She had a tazer in her hand and handed the assistant teacher a three foot golf club stick. She gave us pairs of scissors to use just in case if we had too. We were in that classroom for about two hours. It was so quiet you could hear the clock ticking; it never got that quiet during test ever. And then the principle came over the intercom and said you may resume back to classes. Please pack up your things and go to your last block class. The next day we found out that a escaped prisoner on death row had shot a lady at the store across the street execution style and went to Facebook and threatened to come inside our school and kill every single one of us.

Once at my Elementary school,some idiot decided to start SHOOTING A DEER ON OUR PLAYGROUND!!!! The deer got scared and ran inside breaking the glass door into the school,at that time we had to go lock down until animal control came.

I remember one time my brother, his friend, and I "broke into" (the door was unlocked but i guess it still counts as breaking in) my elementary school one night after getting ready to leave the skatepark right next to it ( i was like 6th grade at the time i think), we were walking around the hallways, and got to the first grade hallway (if im remembering correctly) and we heard heavy metal music coming from down towards the end of the hallway, and I remember pointing out that it smelled like smoke. So instead of investigating we left as quickly as possible lol (we grew up watching a lot of scary movies)

Mr. Nightmare *IS* very good at what he does, it's also worth mentioning that these stories help to raise awareness for people should they (god forbid) end up in a similar situation themselves, I'm not in school anymore, but I have to say that had I seen these videos when I was, it would have greatly enhanced my already fairly well developed awareness of such potential threats as can warrant a lock-down.

The last real lockdown I had was when I was in 3rd grade. A man who lived next to the school was threatening to shoot up the school, and I think he was planning to blow us up or something similar. I don't remember much, but we eventually had to evacuate the school and go to our districts Junior High to keep safe.

Tips in case this happens for you:
When he/she sees you, scream random shit to confuse them
Get your phone out and dial 911 FIRST then call your parents
Don't hide in a closed off space, it makes it harder to get away if you're found
Have a chair or scissors ready to throw
Be near a window so you can break it and climb through.
Stay with anyone you find. Strength in numbers.
Make sure your phone is on silent
Don't cry. You have a better chance if you stay silent

@@fishtanker these tips are ok but wont probably work for example screaming random stuff at the killer would probably get you killed faster. If you stay with anyone it increases the chances of you and that person dying and they can be liability and slow you down or worst of all they are the killer. Its best to separate unless your close to the exits. Smaller weapons are better than things like chairs unless its a sneak attack. Hide then call 911 and if you want to contact your parents via message and not call which if you spend more time talking it would most likely get you killed.

I was in a school shooting once, a drunk guy walked into our school with an unloaded bb gun
The students at my schools never took lockdown drills seriously and it drove me crazy. They would be making the loudest noises possible. Talking, laughing, you name it. I would almost consider going into the bathroom stall to hide instead of the classrooms. I really would've thought people would start taking drills seriously by high school.

We had a lockdown once when a man with a rifle robbed a library right across the street from us. Me and my friends David, Alex, and Edgar were going to the printing room to print the report cards for our teacher. Then the principal came on the speaker and announced that the school was in lockdown mode and that it was not a drill. Immediately we booked it to the restrooms, locked the door and hid there. The power had gotten cut out and the school was completely silent. It lasted about and hour taking up the entirety of our last period, and we just sat there with the flashlights of our phones turned on talking to each other. After that the principal announced that the school was no longer in lockdown mode but to keep all doors locked and not let any kids leave the classes. They went on dismissing every class one by one. But since we were in the restroom we didn't know that and just left after the lights came back on. The next day we were called up at the principal's office where he asked us where we were. Apparently since we weren't in our class during the lockdown we were reported missing and the school thought that we got killed or something. lol
