If I were to pick the top 5 lead singers i'd want in my band Sammy would make that list. Work ethic, down to earth, and delivers each night like it was literally his last, not to mention a `great all around rock voice. I wouldn't call it the best era of Van Halen. The first four Van Halen records are iconic masterpieces. However, Van Halen was a different band with Sammy Hagar as the front man, and the four albums they did with him are all great.
