I have heard and watched so many different versions of this, and many different recordings of Alex singing this song however, this one right here game me chills! You can perfectly hear and feel the emotion behind every single word he’s singing, there’s something different, something new and sad at the same time! Simply amazing!!!!

And you are so accurate saying that there's something sad... Of course I was very happy to be there on that final curtain call, but I guess the feeling in general was that the show had so much more to offer it shouldn't be closing...
I remember watching the recording of this number at Alex’s apartment. After the song ending, there was a standing ovation and everyone on stage in the circle was clapping too. Alex was crying, Hailey was crying, everybody was crying. It was so amazing, I’m so glad they gave him that recording of it.
Broadway Connection yea, the crew was nice enough to provide Alex with a video of the entire show. I was staying at his place while visiting NY and I mentioned how bummed I was that I didn’t get to see it one more time before it closed (I was only able to see his first show). And he goes “do you wanna see it one more time? I have the recording of my last show” and I was floored. But, I will say that even high quality videos are nothing compared to the live theater.

(Today I was watching mama will provide and we dance and I start crying remembering how good this show/ cast was. There's beauty in seeing people doing what they were born to do!)
Broadway Connection Unfortunately his contract stated that he can’t publish nor reproduce the video. But I wish it could be shared with everyone too, it was a great show. All the numbers in it were phenomenal because the cast wanted Alex’s last show to be amazing. And the speech at the end of bows made me cry so much.
