My dad used to hire people to work for his company. He said he liked students with top grades from Singapore because he knew they could think, work hard and were intelligent. When he hired Americans he wanted their SAT scores which he regarded as an intelligence test. He never hired Brits but he would hire form the French Grande Ecoles. My dad's people were top notch but I, his son, was a flake.
THAT MAN IS WRONG ! SOCIAL BACKGROUND IS VERY IMPORTANT IN STUDIES SUCCESS.
shanghai students actually are not the best in china ,for exemple ,students from other provinces are more hardworking.esp,the maths thaught in jiangsu are harder than that in shanghai .... .but the students in shanghai are more verstaile .....generally

what a ignorance fool， Shanghai got the highest IQ among all Chinese cities.
According to chinese IQ study, Shanghai average IQ is the highest among all chinese cities and province, Shanghai is 20 point more in IQ than the middle china province. That is a huge difference.
Some are cities others are countries.cant compare shaghai to a country.
ciaran delaney yes you can. Shanghai has more population than the entire Australia. HK China and Singapore are both smaller than Shanghai.
